    McDermott (undisclosed) had a tryout with Houston on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. McDermott spent all of last season on the Rams' injured reserve list but is presumably now healthy. The veteran tackle has 55 career regular-season games (including 17 starts) under his belt across stints with the Bills, Jets and Patriots.

McDermott joined the Patriots' practice squad Oct. 17 after reaching an injury settlement with the team Sept. 8.
