    Turner (quadriceps) was placed on injured reserve Monday. Turner suffered a torn quadriceps during practice Friday, which will force him to miss the upcoming season. He had just signed a one-year contract with the team Tuesday and was expected to compete for a depth role on New Orleans' offensive line. Instead, the 30-year-old will turn his focus to getting healthy and being ready to compete in 2024.

  • Saints' Trai Turner: Done for 2023

    Turner, who left Friday's practice early, is out for the 2023 season after tearing his quadriceps, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports. Turner, a New Orleans native, signed a one-year deal with the Saints on Tuesday and was with the second-team offense during 11-on-11 drills Thursday. The 2014 third-round pick played for the Commanders in 2022, starting in 12 of 16 games. His loss is a blow to the Saints' depth on the offensive line.

  • Saints' Trai Turner: Heading home

    Turner signed a one-year contract with the Saints on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Turner grew up in New Orleans and played at LSU before beginning his career in Carolina in 2014. The 30-year-old is a former Pro Bowler who spent last season with Washington starting 12 of the 16 games he appeared in. He should strengthen the depth of the Saints' offensive line in 2023.
