  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Good volume in tough matchup

Smith completed 30 of 44 pass attempts for 285 yards and a touchdown while adding eight rushing yards on three attempts with a lost fumble in Sunday's 24-10 loss to Cleveland. Smith actually finished with decent results from a fantasy perspective when factoring in his inconsistent play to date, coupled with the brutal matchup on paper. The veteran signal-caller's poor decision-making and inaccuracy on deep attempts ultimately cost his team a shot at victory, but this was far from his worst fantasy score through 11 starts this year. Smith has thrown as many touchdowns as interceptions (13) over his disappointing run as the Raiders' starter, with Sunday's lost fumble keeping his TD:TO below 1.0. Fantasy managers should be wary of next Sunday's opponent after the Chargers picked off Smith three times when these two teams met back in Week 2.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Mixed bag in primetime loss

Smith completed 27 of 42 pass attempts for 238 yards, one touchdown and one interception while gaining 14 yards on four carries in Monday's 33-16 loss to the Cowboys. In the two games coming out of Las Vegas' bye week, Smith posted a four-score outing followed up by last week's forgettable showing against Denver (143 yards, one INT). The veteran signal-caller presented a version of himself on Monday Night Football that falls right in between his recent Jekyll and Hyde performances. Smith used garbage time to pad his stats while tossing his 12th touchdown pass and 13th interception of the season. The 34-year-old's inconsistent play coupled with a matchup against the league's stingiest defense (167.0 passing yards allowed per game) make Smith a poor fantasy play against the Browns in Week 12.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Not on injury report

Smith (quadriceps) isn't listed on the Raiders' Week 11 injury report. Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Smith suffered a thigh bruise last Thursday against the Broncos, but the issue was downplayed afterward by coach Pete Carroll. With Smith not listed on this Thursday's injury report, the QB will be good to go Monday night against the 3-5-1 Cowboys, who have dropped two straight contests, most recently a 27-17 loss to the Cardinals in Week 9 in which Jacoby Brissett completed 21 of 31 pass attempts for 261 yards and two touchdowns, while logging five carries for four yards and a rushing score.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Practicing Thursday

Smith (quadriceps) is participating in practice Thursday, Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official site reports. Smith is dealing with a quad contusion sustained during Las Vegas' loss to the Broncos on Thursday Night Football in Week 10, so for him to be handling even limited practice reps is a positive sign. Thursday's official practice report will disclose Geno's activity level as he prepares to ramp up for a home matchup against the Cowboys on Monday night. At this stage, there doesn't appear to be serious reason for concern about Smith's availability.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Week 11 Waiver Priority List

Smith (quadriceps) was injured in Week 10 at Denver, so keep an eye on his status heading into Week 11 against Dallas. We hope he's healthy because this is a great matchup against the Cowboys, who are No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Smith has been an up-and-down Fantasy quarterback this season, but he has scored at least 19.5 Fantasy points in three of six games with Brock Bowers. Smith is worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAB. If Smith is out, then look for Kenny Pickett (1 percent rostered) as an option in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues. Pickett is worth adding for 1 percent.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Dealing with contusion

Smith suffered a quad contusion in Thursday's 10-7 loss to the Broncos, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Smith played through the injury for most of the fourth quarter, but he drew a questionable tag in the final minutes of the game and was spotted with his quad area wrapped on the bench. He'll now have 10 days to recover before a Week 11 matchup against the Cowboys, and there doesn't appear to be concern about his availability for that matchup for the time being.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Night may be done

Smith is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Broncos with a quad injury. Smith has been under constant pressure throughout the game, but this injury occurred early in the fourth quarter on a scramble. After a two-play absence, he returned to the field but was visibly limping and in discomfort. Smith is officially questionable, but he was seen on the bench with his upper left leg wrapped and without a helmet.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Returns to game

Smith is back in Thursday's game against the Broncos after being evaluated for an apparent knee injury, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. Smith was injured on a scramble early in the fourth quarter. He missed two plays but was ultimately cleared to return and is back under center for the Raiders.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Week 10 Waiver Priority List

Smith got Brock Bowers back from a three-game absence with a knee injury in Week 9 against Jacksonville and scored 34.3 Fantasy points. Smith has now played five games with Bowers, and he scored at least 19.5 Fantasy points in three of them. I don't want to start Smith in Week 10 at Denver, but he faces Dallas in Week 11, which is the best matchup for any quarterback. It's not a bad idea to stash Smith now for 1 percent of your remaining FAB and use him against the Cowboys next week. And I don't expect Smith's value to change much now that Jakobi Meyers is gone. As long as Bowers is healthy, Smith will be just fine when the matchup is in his favor.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: One To Stash (QB Preview)

Geno Smith looked much better with Brock Bowers healthy, go figure. Now that wasn't encouraging enough for us to start him against the Denver Broncos, but in Week 11, he gets the Cowboys. They are giving up 28.44 FPPG to QBs, and we just watched Jacoby Brissett score 28 Fantasy points against them on Monday night. There is no better QB stash for Week 11.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Responds with four TDs in OT loss

Smith completed 29 of 39 pass attempts for 284 yards, four touchdowns and an interception while taking five carries for nine yards in Sunday's 30-29 overtime loss to the Jaguars. Smith rebounded nicely from a historically poor performance against the Chiefs (67 passing yards, no touchdowns) in the Raiders' last appearance. The 34-year-old welcomed Brock Bowers (knee) back with open arms Sunday, hooking up in the end zone with his talented tight end on three separate occasions. The four passing touchdowns set a new single-game high for Smith since joining the silver and black this past offseason. It's been a true boom-or-bust situation for the veteran signal-caller in Las Vegas, as he has now finished with less than 200 passing yards in half of his eight starts. Managers should be wary of trusting Smith on a short week in a tough matchup against Denver on Thursday Night Football in Week 10.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Historically bad against Chiefs

Smith completed 10 of 16 passes for 67 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 31-0 loss to the Chiefs. He added two rushes for one yard. The futility of the Raiders offense can be stated in many different ways, and Smith was at the center of the lack of production. The unit ran only two offensive plays in Chiefs territory, totaled only three first downs, and ran only 30 offensive plays, the final of which was the second-fewest in the Super Bowl era, per Josh Dubow of The Associated Press. Needless to say, it was a disastrous fantasy performance, and Smith has now thrown for less than 200 yards in four of his seven starts and has zero scores in three contests. He was also replaced by Kenny Pickett late in the game due to the score, but there is no indication that the team is considering a change at quarterback.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Effective in win Sunday

Smith completed 17 of 23 pass attempts for 174 yards, one touchdown and one interception while losing three yards on four carries in Sunday's 20-10 win over Tennessee. Smith got the Raiders back in the win column after a recent poor string of play had critics calling for a quarterback change in Las Vegas. The veteran signal-caller appears to have staved off a potential QB controversy with improved play against a struggling Titans squad Sunday. The 34-year-old still couldn't pitch a clean outing, throwing his 10th interception of campaign early in the fourth quarter. The late turnover didn't cost his team a chance at victory, meaning Smith should remain under center for a tough road matchup against the Chiefs next Sunday.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Set to retain starting job

Smith will remain the Raiders' starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Titans after Las Vegas had "no serious discussion" about benching the signal-caller following the team's four-game losing streak, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Much of the team's struggles over the past four games have fallen on Smith's shoulders, as the veteran quarterback has thrown eight interceptions and has taken 12 sacks over that stretch. Poor offensive line play hasn't helped Smith, and he'll be further handicapped Sunday by the continued absence of star tight end Brock Bowers (knee), who is set to miss a second straight game. Though the Raiders aren't yet prepared to turn the offense over to backup Kenny Pickett, the idea of a change under center could gain some momentum if Smith is unable to deliver a clean outing against the Titans, who rank in the bottom 10 of the league in both yards and points allowed per game.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Two more picks in loss

Smith completed 25 of 36 passes for 228 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions while adding three carries for eight yards in the Raiders' 40-6 loss to the Colts on Sunday. The left half of Smith's stat line looked perfectly acceptable, but the two picks, four sacks and quarterback rating of 18.9 that comprise the rest of his numbers all underscore how difficult the afternoon was. The Raiders' day actually started off in encouraging fashion via a marathon 16-play, 80-yard drive that consumed 9:50 of the first quarter, but that ultimately culminated in a field goal. The next five possessions would feature a blocked punt, both of Smith's interceptions, a punt and a missed field goal, helping dig Las Vegas into a hole it couldn't recover from. Smith has now thrown nine interceptions over his first five games at the helm of the Raiders' offense, including three contests in which he's tossed multiple picks. Nevertheless, Smith will continue under center, potentially without Brock Bowers (knee) once again, when the Raiders welcome in the Titans for a favorable Week 6 home clash.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: QBs to Sit

If you want to buy into Smith this week then two things in his favor are his road performances, which included 19.5 Fantasy points at New England in Week 1 and 32.1 points at Washington in Week 2, as well as Indianapolis just allowed Matthew Stafford to pass for 375 yards and three touchdowns in Week 4. But Smith was awful last week against Chicago at home with 13.8 Fantasy points, and he attempted a season-low 21 passes as Ashton Jeanty finally started to dominate. After Smith threw three interceptions against the Bears -- along with left tackle Kolton Miller (ankle) now out -- Pete Carroll will likely lean more on Jeanty in this matchup and limit Smith again. I would only start Smith in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Adds/Streamers (QB Preview)

Smith is not a top-12 QB for me this week, but if you streamed him last week and you don't want to trust Bryce Young this week, I would just stick with Smith. Last week was a disaster, but he bounced back from his Week 2 disaster nicely with three touchdowns against the Commanders. I don't expect the Raiders to slow down the Colts offense, which should mean a more pass-heavy approach from Smith in a dome game with an over/under of 47.5.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Ugly showing in another loss

Smith completed 14 of 21 pass attempts for 117 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions while adding 31 rushing yards on four attempts in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Bears. Smith threw an interception in each of the first three quarters before the Bears mounted a comeback in the fourth. The veteran signal-caller was coming off a mistake-free, three-touchdown performance in Week 3, but a pair of three-interception outings have sandwiched that strong showing. Smith will be a risky play against a tough Indianapolis defense next Sunday.

  • Raiders' Geno Smith: Adds/Streamers (QB Preview)

Smith has scored at least 19.4 Fantasy points in two of his three starts and has a fantastic matchup in Week 4 against the Bears. He is averaging 35 pass attempts per game as the Bears struggle to get their run game going and producing an very good 7.8 yards per pass attempt. The Bears defense has been subpar against the pass in 2025 and are missing several key starters.
... See More ... See Less
  • Raiders' Geno Smith: One To Stash (QB Preview)

Smith was awful on Monday Night Football and will likely be dropped in more leagues than he is added. But if you are carrying two QBs and streaming, Smith could be a start in Week 4 against the Bears. They have given up the most Fantasy points to QBs this season and just lost their best cornerback for the foreseeable future. The Raiders have the second-highest pass rate over expected through two weeks and Week 4 should be a get right spot for Smith.
