  • Tomas Hertl C | LV

Golden Knights' Tomas Hertl: Pair of points in win

Hertl scored a power-play goal on two shots, added an assist and logged five hits in Saturday's 5-4 double-overtime win over the Hurricanes in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Hertl broke the scoreless deadlock at 10:26 of the second period. He also set up the third goal of Mitch Marner's hat trick later in the frame. While Hertl ended up with a team-low 15:20 of ice time, he was able to be productive again. He has four points over three contests against the Hurricanes and is up to five goals, eight assists, 31 shots on net, 39 hits and a plus-1 rating over 19 playoff outings. He continues to work in a third-line role as well as on the top power-play unit.

  • Avalanche's Tristen Nielsen: Nets two goals Friday

Nielsen scored twice in AHL Colorado's 7-3 win over Chicago in Game 5 on Friday.

Nielsen helped the Eagles get one win away from the Calder Cup Finals with his early pair of goals. He has totaled 10 goals and 15 points over 15 appearances in the Eagles' postseason run after a career-best 49-point effort in 66 regular-season outings.

  • Golden Knights' Brett Howden: Tallies twice in Game 2 loss

Howden scored two goals on three shots and blocked three shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Howden had the only goals for either team through two periods. He's put up four points over two contests against the Hurricanes as he continues to enjoy a productive postseason. Overall, the 28-year-old forward is up to 13 goals, three assists, 33 shots on net, 50 hits and a plus-11 rating through 18 playoff outings.

  • Hurricanes' Mark Jankowski: Finds twine for tying goal

Jankowski scored a goal in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Jankowski's tally helped the Hurricanes erase a 2-0 deficit. It was his first goal of the postseason, to go with four assists, 12 shots on net, 14 hits, 12 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a plus-3 rating over 15 appearances. Jankowski is firmly locked in as the Hurricanes' fourth-line center, so there won't always be a ton of scoring chances for him.

  • Jordan Staal C | CAR

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Tips in power-play goal

Staal scored a power-play goal on two shots, added two PIM and doled out seven hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Staal has scored in two straight games and in three of his last four contests. This was his second power-play tally of the postseason as he continues to use his faceoff skills to help the Hurricanes get early possession when playing with the man advantage. He's at four goals, three assists, 23 shots on net, 74 hits, 13 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 15 playoff appearances.

  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Sparks rally in Game 2 win

Stankoven scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Stankoven won a puck battle in the offensive zone and tucked home the Hurricanes' first goal in a span of 5:05 during the third period. The 23-year-old was held off the scoresheet in Game 1 but has had more good moments than bad ones this postseason. He's up to 10 goals, three assists, 50 shots, 28 hits and a plus-7 rating over 15 playoff contests while playing in a second-line role.

  • Seth Jarvis C | CAR

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Nets game-winner on power play

Jarvis scored a power-play goal on two shots and added three hits in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Jarvis' tally at 3:56 of overtime made sure the Hurricanes' third-period rally didn't go to waste. The 24-year-old has spent most of the postseason on the top line, but he was moved alongside Jordan Staal in the middle of this game. It's unclear if that change will stick heading into Game 3 on Saturday. Jarvis has produced nine points, 38 shots on net, 24 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating across 15 playoff appearances.

  • Flyers' Jacob Gaucher: Extends for one year

Gaucher signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Flyers on Thursday, per PuckPedia.

Gaucher logged 20 goals and 36 points over 69 regular-season outings with AHL Lehigh Valley. He also made four appearances with the Flyers during the regular season, and he was up with the big club as part of the team's Black Aces during the postseason. The 25-year-old will likely be a depth option for 2026-27, though he may spend most of the campaign with the Phantoms.

  • Blues' Dylan Peterson: Secures one-year deal

Peterson inked a one-year, two-way contract with St. Louis on Thursday.

Peterson has yet to make his NHL debut after two full seasons playing for AHL Springfield. In 57 regular-season games for the Thunderbirds this year, the 24-year-old center notched 12 goals and 12 assists, adding two points in 10 postseason games. At this point, Peterson projects as a fringe roster player, at best, who will likely bounce between leagues even if he does get to make his NHL debut this year.

  • Zach Dean C | STL

Blues' Zach Dean: Staying in St. Louis organization

Dean signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Blues on Wednesday, per PuckPedia.

Dean was limited to 14 points in 36 regular-season outings with AHL Springfield in 2025-26 after spending time in the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program. He will get a chance to play a full minor-league campaign after the expiration of his entry-level contract. His last NHL experience came in 2023-24 when he logged nine contests with the Blues.
