Hurricanes' Mark Jankowski: Inks two-year extension
Jankowski signed a two-year, $3.7 million contract extension with the Hurricanes on Monday.
Jankowski put together a solid campaign during his first full year with the Hurricanes in 2025-26, logging 11 goals, 10 assists, 45 hits and 45 blocked shots while averaging 11:09 of ice time across 68 regular-season appearances. He was slated to become an unrestricted free agent during the offseason but will instead remain under contract with the Hurricanes for two more years.

Hurricanes' Jaccob Slavin: Chips in assist Saturday
Slavin logged an assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers in Game 4.
Slavin helped out on Jackson Blake's game-winning tally in overtime. This was the first point of the playoffs for Slavin, who has added 15 shots on net, 16 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating in his usual shutdown role. The 32-year-old defenseman dealt with injuries for most of the first half of the season, but back-to-back sweeps have the Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Finals, and he'll have time to get some rest before that series starts against an opponent that's yet to be determined.

Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Perfect run continues
Andersen made 15 saves in a 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers on Saturday in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference second round.
Andersen is a perfect 8-0 this postseason. He leads all netminders in GAA (1.12) and save percentage (.950). He has been exceptional, and he'll get a much-deserved rest until the Eastern Conference Finals against either the Canadiens or Sabres. Andersen is only the fourth goalie in NHL history to allow two goals or fewer in each of his first eight starts of a playoff run.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Offensive woes continue
Aho was held off the scoresheet in a 3-2 overtime win over Philadelphia on Saturday in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference second round.
Carolina has a perfect 8-0 record this postseason, but Aho has just four points (three goals, one assist). Two of his goals have been empty-netters, and he picked up only one helper during Carolina's four-game sweep of the Flyers in Round 2. Aho should break through offensively at some point. He has 89 points, including 37 goals, in 97 career appearances during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Hurricanes' K'Andre Miller: Extends point streak
Miller picked up an assist in a 3-2 overtime win against the Flyers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference second round.
It extended Miller's point streak to three games and three helpers. He has chipped in six assists during Carolina's 8-0 start to the postseason. Miller came off a 37-point regular season, his first with Carolina. He leads all Carolina defenders in playoff scoring by a wide margin. Jalen Chatfield, Shayne Gostisbehere, Sean Walker and Mike Reilly sit second in offensive production with two points each.

Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Leads league in postseason goals
Stankoven scored a goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference second round.
It was his league-leading seventh goal of the postseason. The Hurricanes swept the Flyers to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. So far, Carolina has a perfect 8-0 record while being led offensively by the second line of Stankoven, Jackson Blake and Taylor Hall. Stankoven has eight points, 31 shots on net and 14 hits through eight appearances in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Hurricanes' Taylor Hall: Postseason dominance continues
Hall put up three assists Saturday in a 3-2 overtime win over Philadelphia in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference second round.
Hall's postseason dominance has been eye-opening. He leads the Hurricanes in scoring with 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in eight games. Hall hasn't been this dominant in a postseason run since his junior days when he was the Memorial Cup MVP in back-to-back years (2009, 2010). With the win, the Canes swept the Flyers in four games to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals against either Montreal or Buffalo. Carolina is a perfect 8-0 in the playoffs.

Hurricanes' Jackson Blake: Another big impact game
Blake scored two goals and added an assist in a 3-2 overtime win over the Flyers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference second round Saturday. The Hurricanes advance to the Eastern Conference Finals with a 4-0 sweep.
Blake scored the winner at 5:31 of overtime. His wrist shot bounced off Dan Vladar's glove and trickled over the goal line. Blake was a scoring machine against the Flyers, putting up three goals, four assists and 10 shots. He sits second in team scoring this postseason with four goals and seven assists in eight games. This scoring outburst isn't really a surprise -- Blake's game took a massive jump this season on the team's second line, and he finished the regular season with 22 goals, 31 assists and 174 shots in 81 games. He and linemates Taylor Hall (12 points) and Logan Stankoven (eight points) lead the Canes in scoring this postseason.

Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Facing Flyers in Game 4
Andersen will defend the road net against Philadelphia on Saturday in Game 4, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Andersen is coming off an 18-save performance in Game 3's 4-1 win over the Flyers on Thursday. He has allowed two goals or fewer in each of his previous seven outings this postseason. During that span, Andersen has stopped 176 of 184 shots and earned two shutouts en route to a 7-0 record.

Hurricanes' Jordan Martinook: Supplies two assists Thursday
Martinook earned two assists, including one while shorthanded, and added two hits and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers in Game 3.
Martinook picked up his first multi-point effort of the playoffs by assisting goals for Jordan Staal and Nikolaj Ehlers. Through seven postseason contests, Martinook has earned a goal, two assists, 15 shots on net, 18 hits, seven blocked shots, four PIM and a plus-1 rating. He plays a key defensive role on the third line, so don't expect the veteran winger to make a huge impact on offense.

Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Pockets pair of helpers
Gostisbehere notched two power-play assists, two shots on goal, four PIM and three hits in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers in Game 3.
Gostisbehere hadn't gotten on the scoresheet in the first six games of the playoffs. He changed that by helping out on goals by Jordan Staal and Andrei Svechnikov in this contest. Through seven playoff contests, Gostisbehere has added nine shots on net, eight hits, three blocked shots, 14 PIM and a plus-4 rating. He'll continue to play on the third pairing at even strength as well as the first power-play unit.

Hurricanes' Jalen Chatfield: Nets shorthanded goal
Chatfield scored a shorthanded goal on five shots and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers in Game 3.
Chatfield's second-period tally stood as the game-winner. The 29-year-old defenseman has done his usual shutdown work this postseason, but he hasn't added a lot of offense. He's at two points, 14 shots on net, four hits, seven blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-1 rating across seven playoff outings. Chatfield will continue to see top-four minutes, but he's not expected to be in the power-play mix.

Hurricanes' Nikolaj Ehlers: Adds insurance tally
Ehlers scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers in Game 3.
Ehlers tallied at 7:08 of the third period, giving the Hurricanes their last goal. He's earned three points over three games in the second round after being held to one assist across three contests versus the Senators in the first round. The 30-year-old winger has added 13 shots on net, seven hits, five blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through six playoff appearances this year.

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Collects pair of points
Staal scored a power-play goal on two shots, added a shorthanded assist and doled out three hits in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers in Game 3.
Staal's opening tally Thursday was his first goal this postseason. The 37-year-old center has maintained a steady middle-six role this postseason, though often with a bit more ice time than expected due to his special-teams work. He's at four points, 12 shots on net, 29 hits, nine PIM and a plus-3 rating over seven playoff contests. In previous playoff runs, he's accumulated 73 points across 162 games.

Hurricanes' Andrei Svechnikov: Breaks through on power play
Svechnikov scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist and added four hits in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers in Game 3.
Svechnikov's points both came on the power play. The winger was limited to a single assist over the first six games of the playoffs. He's now at three points, 23 shots on net, 30 hits, 16 PIM and an even plus-minus rating over seven postseason contests. Svechnikov has been more productive in previous playoff runs, totaling 23 goals and 48 points across 66 outings in his first six career trips to the postseason.

Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Extends series lead to 3-0
Andersen stopped 18 of 19 shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Flyers in Game 3.
Andersen's stunning postseason run continues, as he's now won all seven playoff games and nine in a row dating back to the regular season. The 36-year-old has had more games allowing one goal or less (four) than two or more (three) in the playoffs. His success has the Hurricanes on the brink of a second-round sweep. Andersen will almost certainly be between the pipes for Saturday's Game 4 with the chance to close out the series, which would earn some significant rest between rounds as well.
