  • Blues' Zach Dean: Staying in St. Louis organization

    Dean signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Blues on Wednesday, per PuckPedia. Dean was limited to 14 points in 36 regular-season outings with AHL Springfield in 2025-26 after spending time in the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program. He will get a chance to play a full minor-league campaign after the expiration of his entry-level contract. His last NHL experience came in 2023-24 when he logged nine contests with the Blues.

  • Blues' Zach Dean: Clears Player Assistance Program

    Dean was cleared by the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program and reassigned to AHL Springfield on Thursday. Dean had a goal and four points in 11 regular-season appearances with Springfield in 2024-25. He hasn't played yet this season. He was originally selected by Vegas with the No. 30 overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, and St. Louis acquired Dean from the Golden Knights on Feb. 26, 2023 in exchange for Ivan Barbashev.

    Dean was moved to AHL Springfield on Thursday. Dean recorded no points, 10 hits and five blocks in nine outings with the Blues in 2023-24. The 21-year-old has also supplied eight goals and 13 points in 47 contests with Springfield. This reassignment presents a chance for Dean to gain a bit more professional experience given the Blues' campaign has concluded.
