  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Opens scoring in Game 2

Stankoven scored a power-play goal on five shots in Monday's 3-2 double-overtime win over the Senators in Game 2. Stankoven is shining with three points over his first two games this postseason. He has gotten on the scoresheet in each of his last 10 games, earning nine goals and five helpers in that span, including five points on the power play. Stankoven had a 44-point effort over 81 regular-season contests while primarily centering the Hurricanes' second line, so he'll be counted on for key top-six minutes this spring.

  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Rising to occasion on big stage

Stankoven delivered a goal and assist in a 2-0 win over Ottawa in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round on Saturday. Stankoven's goal opened the scoring and stood as the winner; it came at 2:11 of the second period. He has a reputation for rising to the occasion on big stages, including for Team Canada at the World Juniors in 2022 and 2023, and in the WHL playoffs in the same years. Stankoven could surprise this postseason after establishing new regular-season career marks in goals (21), assists (23), power-play goals (four), power-play points (nine) and shots (166).

Stankoven (illness) participated in Friday's practice session, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports. Stankoven sat out Thursday's practice session due to an illness, but his return to the ice a day later signals that he'll presumably be ready for Game 1 against the Senators on Saturday. He appeared in 81 regular-season games this year and logged 21 goals, 23 assists, 50 hits, 25 PIM and 22 blocked shots while averaging 15:27 of ice time.

Stankoven (undisclosed) is expected to play against the Flyers on Monday, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports. Stankoven will see time on the first line and top power-play unit after missing Saturday's 4-1 win over Utah. He has 21 goals and 21 assists in 79 outings this campaign.

  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Extends point streak

Stankoven scored a power-play goal in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Senators. Stankoven broke the deadlock for the Hurricanes at the 5:22 mark of the first period. The 23-year-old forward is now on a four-game point streak -- a feat he hadn't accomplished since cracking the scoresheet in five straight games from Jan. 3-10. Stankoven is having the best season of his young career in 2025-26 and is up to 38 points (18 goals, 20 assists) in 77 regular-season outings. He already established personal bests in goals while matching his career high in points and has five games left in the season to add to his totals.

  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Nets power-play marker

Stankoven scored a power-play goal and added two PIM in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets. Stankoven ended a five-game goal drought with his tally at 16:12 of the first period. The 23-year-old was limited to one assist in that span, though he had three goals and an assist in the five contests before that. Stankoven is up to 15 goals, 34 points, 148 shots on net, 44 hits, 25 PIM and a plus-10 rating over 74 appearances. His production is just about the same as what he did last year between Carolina and Dallas, making him a decent fantasy depth forward with some upside still yet to materialize.

Stankoven scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Wednesday's 6-5 overtime win over Pittsburgh. Both points came in a wild third period that saw the two teams combine for seven goals. Stankoven is struggling to make a consistent offensive impact -- he hasn't recorded points in back-to-back games since early January -- but since the Olympic break he's managed a respectable four goals and seven points in 11 contests. Wednesday's power-play tally was his first of the season.

  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Lights lamp in Sunday's win

Stankoven scored a goal on four shots and added four PIM in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Devils. Stankoven had gone 11 games without a goal, picking up three assists in that span. The 22-year-old had the last tally in Sunday's contest to snap the drought. For the season, he's up to seven goals, 18 points, 89 shots on net, 23 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 42 appearances. Stankoven remains in a middle-six role, but he hasn't improved his offense from his totals of 14 goals and 24 assists over 78 regular-season outings in 2024-25.

The 22-year-old center has struggled to make a consistent impact so far in his first full season with Carolina, and through 30 games he's managed six goals and 14 points, a pace that's nearly an exact match of his 2024-25 numbers.

  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Three points in last two games

Stankoven had a goal and an assist in a 6-2 win over the Islanders on Thursday. His goal was the final dagger at 19:49 of the third period to drive the score to 6-2. Stankoven has three points, including two goals, in his last two games, and he has seven points (four goals, three assists) and 22 shots in 10 games this season. That's a nice bump for Stankoven, who put up nine points in 19 contests last year after arriving from Dallas in a trade. The young spark plug is a great fit in the Carolina system. His future is bright.

Stankoven scored a goal Tuesday in a 2-1 overtime win over Washington in Game 1. Stankoven beat Logan Thompson with a glove-side wrister from the slot at 9:42 of the third to tie the game and ultimately force overtime. The goal was his third this postseason in six games -- not bad for a 22-year-old who put up eight points, including three goals, in 19 games with Dallas last season. Stankoven appears to be a natural fit in Raleigh, skating with Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Taylor Hall on the team's second line.

The 22-year-old has four goals over his last seven contests, and he's up to 14 tallies, 23 assists, 191 shots on net, 46 hits and a plus-3 rating over 75 appearances between the Hurricanes and the Stars this season.
