  • Avalanche's Nikita Novosyolov: Agrees to entry-level contract

Novosyolov signed a two-year, entry-level contract with Colorado on Monday.

Novosyolov posted a 22-10-8 record with a 2.10 GAA, a .932 save percentage and three shutouts in 40 regular-season games for Gornyak-UGMK of the VHL in 2025-26. He also appeared in three regular-season outings with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg of the KHL, going 1-2-0 with a 5.33 GAA and an .870 save percentage.

  • Avalanche's T.J. Tynan: Picks up three assists

Tynan logged three assists in AHL Colorado's 5-2 win over Chicago in Game 2 on Saturday.

Tynan played a key role in the Eagles' comeback push. He continues to thrive as a playmaker this postseason with two goals and 10 assists over 12 playoff contests. Tynan had three goals and 47 assists in 67 regular-season outings as well.

  • Avalanche's Mikhail Gulyayev: Extends with KHL team

Gulyayev signed a two-year extension with Avangard Omsk of the KHL on Friday, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.

Gulyayev's new deal would keep him in the KHL through the end of the 2027-28 campaign, at which point he would be 23 years old. Rawal notes the defenseman has little interest in developing in the AHL, so this may be the next best path for him to continue to grow. Fantasy managers in dynasty formats will have to wait two more years to see if he'll be able to help the Avalanche down the line.

  • Avalanche's Isak Posch: Heads to minors

Posch was sent to AHL Colorado on Thursday.

Posch was summoned May 3 as a third goaltending option for the Avalanche behind Scott Wedgewood and Mackenzie Blackwood. The 24-year-old Posch didn't end up getting into a game for the Avalanche, and with the NHL squad's playoff run done, he's been returned to the minors. Posch had a 2.78 GAA and an .891 save percentage in 28 regular-season outings with AHL Colorado in 2025-26.

  • Avalanche's Jack Ahcan: Returns to AHL

Ahcan was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Thursday.

Ahcan made three appearances during the Avalanche's playoff run, going minus-3 with seven blocked shots and four hits. The 29-year-old defenseman will resume his participation with the Eagles as they begin the AHL's Western Conference Finals on Thursday versus AHL Chicago.

  • Avalanche's Alex Gagne: Returns to AHL

Gagne was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Monday.

Gagne spent time with the Avalanche during their playoff run but didn't make an appearance. He'll now close out the campaign with the Eagles as they pursue the Calder Cup.

  • Avalanche's Gabriel Landeskog: Tallies late in loss

Landeskog scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM and doled out three hits in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

Landeskog scored in three of four games in this series, accounting for nearly half of the Avalanche's seven goals. The captain's efforts weren't enough as his team went down in a sweep. He put up a total of six goals, five assists, 37 shots on net, 40 hits, 14 PIM and a plus-4 rating over 13 outings this postseason.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Can't save season

Blackwood stopped 24 of 26 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Golden Knights in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

Blackwood put in a good performance, but the Avalanche's offense didn't give enough support in the season-ending loss. Blackwood ended up allowing eight goals on 73 shots over four playoff outings while most often playing second fiddle to Scott Wedgewood. Both goalies are under contract for next year, which may lead to a tandem approach in the Colorado crease once again if they play at a level similar to the one they displayed in 2025-26.

  • Avalanche's Valeri Nichushkin: Not available Tuesday

Nichushkin (lower body) will not play Tuesday in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals versus the Golden Knights, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.

Nichushkin didn't take the ice for warmups, indicating he'll be out in a must-win game for the Avalanche. If they're able to extend the series, Nichushkin will be questionable to play at home in Game 5 on Thursday.

  • Avalanche's Valeri Nichushkin: Status in question for Game 4

Nichushkin (lower body) is questionable for Game 4 in Vegas on Tuesday, per Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette.

If Nichushkin is unable to suit up for Game 4, Joel Kiviranta will likely come into the lineup, but the Avalanche could also elect to roll with 11 forwards and seven defensemen. While Nichushkin is set to be a game-time call Tuesday, Nathan MacKinnon (lower body) is set to be in the lineup for a must-win game. The 31-year-old Nichushkin has been cold lately, accounting for just one goal and a minus-1 rating across Colorado's last six games.

  • Avalanche's Nathan MacKinnon: Good to go for Game 4

MacKinnon (lower body) will play against Vegas on Tuesday in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.

MacKinnon had one assist, five shots on net, two hits and one blocked shot in Sunday's 5-3 loss to Vegas in Game 3. He sustained the injury in the second period of Sunday's defeat, but he managed to stay in the game. Even though he probably isn't fully healthy, he could still make an impact. Colorado needs to win in Game 4 to stay alive in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Set to start Game 4

Blackwood is expected to defend the road net against Vegas on Tuesday in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, according to Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette.

Blackwood made three appearances in Colorado's second-round series against Minnesota, surrendering six goals on 47 shots en route to a 1-0 record. Scott Wedgewood has struggled in three playoff defeats versus Vegas, allowing nine goals on 73 shots. As a result, the Avalanche will turn to Blackwood in an attempt to stave off elimination and force Game 5 back in Colorado on Thursday. The Golden Knights have amassed 3.73 goals per game this postseason.
