  • Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Two goals before early exit

Cirelli (undisclosed) didn't play in the third period of Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Golden Knights, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports.

Cirelli's last shift ended with 1:09 left in the second period. Prior to his exit, he scored two goals, giving him five points through nine outings this season. There was no update available after the contest, so Cirelli will be considered day-to-day leading into Friday's matchup against the Avalanche.

  • Max Sasson C | VAN

    Canucks' Max Sasson: Finds twine

Sasson scored a goal on three shots, added two PIM and served two hits in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes.

Sasson has two goals over his last four contests. The 26-year-old forward is maintaining a steady spot in the Canucks' bottom six, but he's not much of a factor with the man advantage. He's produced three goals, one assist, 14 shots on net, 12 blocked shots, five hits, eight PIM and a minus-6 rating through 11 appearances on the year.

  • Canucks' Linus Karlsson: Puts away goal in loss

Karlsson scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM and doled out two hits in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Hurricanes.

Karlsson has scored in consecutive contests, and he's on a three-game point streak. The 26-year-old winger has shuffled around the Canucks' lineup a bit this year, but he's currently in a top-six role, which should help his offense. He has three goals, five assists, 21 shots on net and a minus-1 rating across 11 appearances. Even on the Canucks, he's a viable depth option in some fantasy formats if he's going to see top-six minutes and power-play time.

  • Hurricanes' Logan Stankoven: Three points in homecoming game

Stankoven scored twice on five shots, added an assist and went plus-3 in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Canucks.

The Kamloops, British Columbia native put on a show for friends and family as a leading force on offense for the Hurricanes. Stankoven opened and closed the scoring Tuesday, and he also helped out on the first of Nikolaj Ehlers' two goals. Consistency is a small concern early in the season, but Stankoven remains in a top-six role for a reason. He has six goals, three assists, 32 shots on net and a plus-7 rating across 11 appearances this season, aided by a pair of three-point outings.

  • Blue Jackets' Charlie Coyle: Surprising production amongst Ohio ruins

Coyle scored a goal Tuesday in a 6-2 loss to Toronto.

He scored it while on his stomach from the side of the net. It was a tough night for Coyle and the rest of the Blue Jackets. The Leafs were up 5-1 by the mid-point of the second period. The Jackets are in last place in the Eastern Conference right now, but Coyle is quietly delivering sneaky fantasy value amongst the ruins. He has one goal, six assists, 15 shots, a plus-3 rating and a 57.1 face-off percentage in eight games after putting up 58 points, including 20 goals, in 82 games last season.

  • Dylan Larkin C | DET

Red Wings' Dylan Larkin: Deals two helpers on power play

Larkin registered two power-play assists and six shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken.

Larkin has a pair of multi-point efforts and has totaled a goal and four assists over seven games this season. He's added 20 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating. Reports broke Tuesday that Larkin has expanded his list of preferred trade destinations to 10 teams, but no deal is imminent. As such, expect Larkin to continue handling top-six minutes and power-play time for the Red Wings until he's on the brink of getting dealt.

  • Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews: Among greats with major milestone

Matthews had a goal and an assist in a 6-2 win over the Blue Jackets on Tuesday.

His goal stood as the winner. And the snipe was Matthews' 436th goal in his 700th career game, tying Pavel Bure for the sixth most by an NHL player through that mile marker, behind Hall-of-Famers Wayne Gretzky (589), Mario Lemieux (580), Mike Bossy (542), Brett Hull (504) and Jari Kurri (454). Matthews is on fire so far this season. He has five points (two goals, three assists) in his last two games and 18 points, including eight goals, in 11 contests so far. Both of those marks put him in a tie for second in the league thus far.

  • Maple Leafs' Jack Roslovic: Big three-point game in win

Roslovic had a goal and two assists in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Blue Jackets.

Both Roslovic and linemate Easton Cowan had three-point nights -- are they this good or is it a function of their pivot? That's a guy named Auston Matthews. Roslovic's best season came in 2021-22 when he put up 45 points, including 22 goals on 131 shots, in 81 games. But he did score at a 58-point pace in the COVID-shortened season when you project it across a full season. Roslovic is worth a waiver squeeze while he's enjoying AM34's company.

  • Blues' Dylan Peterson: Bumped to AHL

Peterson was reassigned to AHL Springfield on Tuesday.

Peterson was a healthy scratch for Tuesday's game against the Jets. During this call-up, he made three appearances, logging one shot on goal, five PIM and nine hits. He'll be in the mix for a recall if the Blues need to add a little toughness later in the year.

  • Sharks' Alexander Wennberg: Ruled out against Habs

Wennberg (upper body) will not be available versus Montreal on Tuesday, Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

With Wennberg unavailable, Ty Dellandrea will get into the lineup, while Zack Ostapchuk could see the biggest uptick in minutes, including with the man advantage. For his part, Wennberg is considered day-to-day and hasn't been ruled out long-term.
