  • Bryce Oliver WR | HOU

Bryce Oliver: Gets cut from Texans' practice squad

Houston cut Oliver from its practice squad Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Less than two weeks after signing Oliver to their practice squad, the Texans are now parting ways with him. Over three games with the Titans in 2025, he caught his only target for eight yards.

  • Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Overshown (hamstring) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site reports.

Overshown was not practiced since sustaining a hamstring injury during the Cowboys' Week 1 loss to the Giants. The linebacker continues to recover from the injury. Still, the 26-year-old will not suit up for Sunday's game against the Texans unless he can log at least one session of limited practice participation by Friday.

  • Derwin James FS | LAC

Chargers' Derwin James: Tending to hamstring issue

James (hamstring) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.

It's not obvious when James sustained the injury, but his presence at practice Wednesday suggests it's probably not anything too serious. As long as he can practice in full Thursday or Friday, he should be able to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.

  • Blake Cashman LB | MIN

Vikings' Blake Cashman: Nursing elbow injury

Cashman (elbow) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Cashman may have injured his elbow during the Vikings' Week 3 win over the Buccaneers, when he logged eight tackles (three solo), including 1.0 sacks, and a pass defense. He was at least able to log a limited session Wednesday, and he'll have two more chances to practice in full and avoid an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

  • Falcons' Gervon Dexter: Signs four-year extension

The Falcons signed Dexter to a four-year, $78 million contract extension Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Atlanta acquired Dexter via a trade with the Bears back in August, and now the team will have him under contract through the 2030 season. Through three games in 2026, he has recorded seven tackles (two solo) including 0.5 sacks and a pass defensed.

  • Texans' Will Anderson: Limited by ankle issue

Anderson (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Anderson may have injured his ankle during the Texans' Week 3 loss to the Colts, when he logged seven tackles (five solo), including 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He's been a key piece to the Texans' defense since entering the league in 2023 as a first-round pick, and if he cannot play against the Cowboys on Sunday, then Jadeveon Clowney (knee) and Dominique Robinson would both be in line for more snaps at defensive end opposite Danielle Hunter. Anderson will have two more opportunities to log a full practice and avoid an injury designation for Week 4.

  • Buccaneers' Rueben Bain: DNP Wednesday

Bain (groin) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.

Bain has been unable to practice since sustaining a groin injury during the Buccaneers' Week 2 loss to the Browns. The first-round rookie has missed four consecutive sessions and does not appear to be any closer to playing in Week 4 than he was in Week 3. AlQuadin Muhammad is once again set to receive the lion's share of starting snaps as the outside linebacker across from Yaya Diaby (calf).

  • Rams' Terrance Ferguson: Logs DNP on Wednesday

Ferguson (ankle) officially didn't practice Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Ferguson had X-rays performed on his ankle during this past Sunday's game at Denver, and while he was able to return to the game, he finished fourth among Rams right ends in offensive snaps (22 of 86). On Monday, coach Sean McVay told Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register that Ferguson "likely" will be out this coming Sunday in Philadelphia, so his lack of reps Wednesday doesn't come as a surprise. Colby Parkinson (shoulder) also was a DNP on the first Week 4 injury report, so L.A.'s current healthy tight ends on the active roster are Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen and Max Klare.

  • Treydan Stukes SAF | LV

Raiders' Treydan Stukes: Manages full practice Wednesday

Stukes (concussion) was a full participant at practice Wednesday.

Stukes sat out Sunday's game at New Orleans because of a concussion he suffered back in Week 2 against the Chargers, but his outlook for Week 4 is looking more positive. He presumably still needs to be cleared for game action by an independent neurologist before he can exit concussion protocol and be eligible to suit up Sunday versus the Chiefs.

  • Packers' Lukas Van Ness: Working through shoulder issue

Van Ness (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Van Ness presumably injured his shoulder during the Packers' 35-14 loss to the Falcons in Week 3, when he logged four tackles (one solo). He'll have two more opportunities to increase his practice participation and avoid an injury designation for Sunday's road tilt against Tampa Bay.
