  • Dennis Gardeck LB | JAC

Jaguars' Dennis Gardeck: Sticking with Jacksonville

The Jaguars re-signed Gardeck on Monday.

Gardeck will stick with Jacksonville after a career year in 2025, in which he tallied 48 tackles (28 solo), including 2.5 sacks, two pass defenses and one forced fumble while suiting up for all 17 regular-season games. He figures to reprise a significant rotational role in the team's linebacker corps for the 2026 campaign.

  • Patriots' Jack Westover: Tendered by New England

The Patriots are tendering Westover, who was an exclusive rights free agent, Mark Daniels of MassLive reports Monday.

Westover will be under contract with the team for 2026 once he signs his tender. He is used almost exclusively as a blocker at fullback and tight end in addition to contributing on special teams. Westover has one catch in 20 regular-season NFL games.

  • Texans' Sheldon Rankins: Re-ups with Texans for two years

Rankins agreed to a two-year extension with the Texans on Monday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Rankins' new contract includes $12 million in guaranteed money. The veteran defensive tackle had been scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent but will instead remain in Houston, where he contributed 3.0 sacks among his 35 tackles (15 solo) while appearing in all 17 regular-season games.

  • Chiefs' Kenneth Walker: Headed to Kansas City

Walker is set to sign with the Chiefs, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

On the heels of his MVP effort in Super Bowl LX, Walker is slated to move on to Kansas City, where he'll immediately slot in as the Chiefs' top backfield option. Meanwhile, Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt, who paced the team's group of RBs in 2025, are headed to free agency, so who will work behind Walker this coming season remains to be seen. With star QB Patrick Mahomes bouncing back from a major knee injury that he sustained in mid-December, Walker figures to be a focal point of Kansas City's offense out of the gate in 2026. Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Walker is getting a three-year deal from the Chiefs worth up to $45 million, including $28.7 million fully guaranteed.

  • Daniel Jones QB | IND

Colts' Daniel Jones: Colts want long-term deal

Indianapolis is working toward a long-term deal with Jones (Achilles), who currently is slated to play out the 2026 season on the one-year transition tag, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The Colts kicked off the NFL's legal tampering period Monday by signing impending free-agent wideout Alec Pierce to a massive four-year, $114 million contract extension, giving the team room to now fully prioritize negotiations with Jones. Indianapolis and the quarterback will have until July 15 to work out a potential multi-year extension, as after that deadline Jones will be locked into a one-year, fully guaranteed $37.83 million salary for 2026. Jones is allowed to negotiate with other teams while under the transition tag, though the Colts will retain the right to match any offers. The soon-to-be 29-year-old signal-caller was enjoying a career year as Indianapolis' starting quarterback in 2025 before suffering a season-ending right Achilles tear Week 14.

  • Chris Manhertz TE | NYG

Giants' Chris Manhertz: Back with Giants on one-year deal

Manertz is re-signing with the Giants on a one-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

The Giants have re-signed the veteran tight end rather than allowing Manhertz to hit free agency. He's expected to continue filling a depth role in 2026 after appearing in all 17 games during the 2025 season but contributing just one catch.

  • Darrell Baker: Not tendered by Titans

Baker will become an unrestricted free agent March 11, as the Titans are not tendering the restricted free-agent cornerback, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Baker had 55 tackles (39 solo) and seven passes defensed for the Titans in 2025 while appearing in all 17 games. Tennessee remains interested in bringing Baker back, but he's also expected to have interest elsewhere on the open market.

  • Montaric Brown CB | JAC

Jaguars' Montaric Brown: Re-ups with Jags on three-year deal

Jacksonville re-signed Brown to a three-year, $33 million contract Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Brown, a 2022 seventh-round pick, emerged as a capable starter at slot corner for the Jaguars in 2024 and now re-signs with the team for the foreseeable future. While Brown's unreliable tackle totals and lack of demonstrable big-play ability keep him off the IDP radar in most fantasy formats, he's entrenched as a key part of Jacksonville's secondary for the 2026 season and beyond.

  • Falcons' Olamide Zaccheaus: Returning to Atlanta

Zaccheaus is in line to sign with the Falcons, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Zaccheaus previously played for Atlanta from 2019 to 2022, under Dan Quinn and Arthur Smith. The team now is led by Kevin Stefanski, who is badly in need of depth to support RB Bijan Robinson, WR Drake London and TE Kyle Pitts at the skill positions. Zaccheaus fits best as a No. 3/4 receiver, but he might get a crack at the No. 2 role if the Falcons don't bring in a bigger name. They're expected to release WR Darnell Mooney on Wednesday when the 2026 league year begins.

  • Steelers' Asante Samuel: Re-signing with Pittsburgh

Samuel is re-signing with the Steelers on a one-year, $4 million contract, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports.

Samuel played in each of the Steelers' last six regular-season games in 2025 after recovering from neck surgery. He was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent but will instead remain in Pittsburgh for the 2026 season, likely filling a depth role in the secondary.
