Legette (stinger) won't play in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game, but he should resume practicing next week, Sheena Quick of Fox Sports Radio 1340 reports.

Legette was unlikely to play Thursday even before he suffered a stinger during Tuesday's practice. The Panthers reportedly aren't worried about a long-term absence, so Legette should be back fairly soon to continue competing for the No. 3 receiver job. With rookie Chris Brazzell (knee) out for the year, John Metchie appears to be Legette's primary competition.

Coach Aaron Glenn noted Tuesday that he's "very confident" Sadiq (abdomen) will be ready for Week 1 action, Al Iannazzone of Newsday reports.

Though the tight end suffered a setback in his recovery from the hernia surgery he underwent in the spring and will miss some time, it doesn't look like his absence will extend into the regular season. While the 2026 first-rounder is unable to practice, added TE reps behind Mason Taylor will be available for Jeremy Ruckert, Jelani Woods and Chase Curtis.

Legette was diagnosed with a stinger after leaving Tuesday's practice early, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.

Legette took a hard fall and was down on the ground for a bit before standing up under his own power and getting on a cart to head to the locker room. He seemingly escaped without a concussion or a major neck injury, though the stinger could impact his practice availability this summer. Legette is competing for the No. 3 receiver job with John Metchie and others.

Rodriguez left practice Tuesday to be evaluated for an ankle injury, Justin Rogers of DetroitFootball.net reports.

Detroit is expected to give an update on the status of Rodriguez prior to practice Wednesday. The 27-year-old played just 70 defensive snaps last season after coming back off of an ACL tear, but was expected to be a starting linebacker for Detroit in 2026 alongside Jack Campbell and Derrick Barnes. Rodriguez signed a one-year deal to return to Detroit this offseason and could prove his ability to handle a full defensive workload if the injury is short-term.

Offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik noted Tuesday that Bell (knee) is still "a long way's away," C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.

Bell, who is recovering from a torn ACL suffered during his final collegiate season at Louisville, remains on the active/non-football injury list, but it's unclear when he'll be ready to resume practicing, and missed time early on this season is plausible based on Slowik's assessment. Once Bell is back in the mix, however, he'll have a chance to carve out a notable role in a retooled Miami WR corps that currently features Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell, with rookies Caleb Douglas and Kevin Coleman also competing for slotting.

Johnson left practice Monday with a lower-body injury, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.

Johnson won't practice Tuesday, but head coach Jeff Hafley indicates that there's no long-term concern with the injury. The veteran safety signed a one-year deal this offseason and is expected to compete for a depth role in the Miami secondary. Johnson spent the 2025 season with Las Vegas, where he recorded 25 tackles and two pass deflections in nine games played.

Flowers is signing a four-year extension with Baltimore for up to $140 million, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Initial reports put the "guarantee" at $108 million, though some of that may not be guaranteed at signing. Either way, Flowers will land safely in WR1 territory from a contract standpoint, ranking top 10 at the position for both guaranteed money and average annual value. Flowers expressed excitement earlier this offseason when discussing new Ravens offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, who spent last year in Chicago as a non-playcalling coordinator under Ben Johnson.

Mayer (nose) isn't practicing Tuesday, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.

Mayer suffered a nose injury during Monday's practice, and while coach Klint Kubiak noted afterward that the tight end should be fine, he's not in uniform for Tuesday's session. Mayer thus falls into the day-to-day category in advance of the Raiders' Aug 13 preseason opener against the Cardinals.

Legette was carted off the practice field Tuesday after suffering an apparent upper body injury, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.

The Panthers already lost rookie wideout Chris Brazzell to a season-ending LCL tear, so a prolonged absence for Legette would really thin out competition for the No. 3 receiver role. John Metchie, David Moore and Jimmy Horn would become the favorites for first-team snaps alongside locked-in starters Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker.

Brown has been taking some reps out wide at practice, Charlie Clifford of NBC 5 Cincinnati reports.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow said Brown has improved his pass-catching skills since last year. Already known as one of the league's better receiving backs, Brown has mostly been used on dump-offs and screens but may be able to exploit slower linebackers on other routes. Either way, he appears set for large workloads and plenty of catches after the Bengals failed to improve their backup RBs this offseason. Samaje Perine seemingly remains second on the depth chart.
