Head coach Brian Schottenheimer told reporters Wednesday that Smith (knee) will start at left guard this season but will also get some reps at left tackle during training camp, Nick Eatman of the Cowboys' official site reports.

Smith was a first-round selection of the Cowboys in the 2022 NFL Draft and started 17 games at left tackle as a rookie before moving to guard. The transition paid off for Tulsa product, who made the Pro Bowl in each of the last three years and was rewarded with a four-year, $98 million contract extension last September. Smith underwent minor cleanup surgery on his right knee in February and has recovered enough to participate in training camp practices.

Washington placed Way (pectoral) on its active/non-football injury list Wednesday.

The pectoral injury is not believed to be a long-term concern, but it's keeping Way out of training camp practice for now. He signed a one-year extension with the Commanders in February and likely isn't in jeopardy of ceding his position as their punter as long as he's available.

The Lions placed Manu (knee) on the active/non-football injury list Wednesday.

Manu appeared in four games (one start) for the Lions during the 2025 regular season before being placed on injured reserve in mid-October due to a knee injury, which prevented him from playing the rest of the year. He's eligible to participate in training camp practice once he is fully healthy.

Jenkins (lower leg) participated in Cleveland's training camp Wednesday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN reports.

Jenkins has now fully recovered from a lower-leg injury he suffered last November. The 30-year-old spent the last seven seasons in Green Bay before signing with the Browns in March and is slated to serve as Cleveland's starting center during the upcoming campaign.

Washington placed Medrano (hamstring) on its active/physically unable to perform list Wednesday.

Medrano was already expected to miss the start of training camp with a hamstring issue, and he'll still be eligible to come back to practice when he's physically able. In the meantime, Ale Kaho could see increased attention at inside linebacker during practice.

Atlanta placed Andersen (knee) on the active/PUP list Wednesday.

Andersen suffered a knee injury during the 2024 season, which was severe enough for him to miss the entire 2025 campaign. It appears he's still working through the issue, though Andersen is eligible to participate in training camp practices once he's fully healthy. He was selected by the Falcons in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft and is entering the final year of his four-year rookie deal.

Jones (knee) got reps as the starting left tackle during Cleveland's training camp Wednesday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN reports.

Jones is healthy again after tearing his LCL last September. The 24-year-old could compete with Spencer Fano for the starting left tackle job throughout the remainder of the summer.

San Francisco waived Farmer (back) with an injury designation Wednesday.

Unless he's claimed by another club during the current waiver period, Farmer is now on track to spend the entire season on the 49ers' injured reserve list. In corresponding transactions, San Francisco also waived/injured William Bradley-King (undisclosed), and signed Quinton Bell and KJ Henry.

Malone (undisclosed) was placed on the Falcons' active/PUP list Wednesday.

The nature and severity of Malone's injury have not been announced, but the 2022 third-rounder will be eligible to participate in practice and preseason games once he's fully healthy. He contributed mostly on special teams in 2025, and logged eight tackles (two solo) and one interception across nine regular-season games.

The Packers activated Stackhouse (undisclosed) off the active/PUP list Wednesday, Weston Hodkiewicz of the team's official site reports.

Stackhouse managed to pass his physical after having spent just two days on the PUP list. With Javon Hargrave (knee) and Jordon Riley (Achilles) both still on the PUP list, Stackhouse is currently Green Bay's top option at nose tackle.
