  • Jaguars' Greg Newsome: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Newsome (shoulder/personal) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.

Newsome sustained a shoulder injury during the fourth quarter of Jacksonville's Week 16 win over Denver and was unable to return, finishing with three solo tackles. He was unable to practice Wednesday due to the injury while also attending to a personal matter, and he'll have two more chances to practice in full and avoid an injury designation heading into Sunday's road tilt against the Colts.

  • Mason Taylor TE | NYJ

Jets' Mason Taylor: Still not practicing

Taylor (neck) didn't practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Taylor has missed two straight games, and a DNP on Wednesday isn't a good sign as Sunday's contest against New England approaches. If he remains sidelined this weekend, Jeremy Ruckert, Stone Smartt and Jelani Woods would handle the Jets' Week 17 TE duties, as they did in the team's Week 16 loss to New Orleans, a game in which Smartt was the busiest of the trio, catching all five of his targets for 34 yards.

  • Jourdan Lewis CB | JAC

Jaguars' Jourdan Lewis: Nursing foot injury

Lewis (foot) did not practice Wednesday.

Lewis likely picked up the injury during the Jaguars' Week 16 win over the Broncos, when he recorded four tackles (two solo) and one pass defense. He would avoid an injury designation for Sunday's AFC South tilt against the Colts if he were to practice fully by Friday.

  • Kimani Vidal RB | LAC

Chargers' Kimani Vidal: Remains sidelined Wednesday

    Vidal (neck) didn't practice Wednesday.

Vidal also logged a DNP on Tuesday, so what the running back is able to do Thursday -- if anything -- will be pivotal in terms of his chances of playing Saturday against the Texans. If Vidal is unavailable this weekend, Omarion Hampton would figure to be busy against Houston, with fellow RBs Hassan Haskins and Jaret Patterson in reserve.

  • Raiders' Tyler Lockett: Logs full practice Wednesday

Lockett (wrist) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Lockett was able to return from a wrist injury to finish with one catch (on two targets) for six yards during the Raiders' Week 16 loss to the Texans. His full practice puts him past the injury and on track to be available for Sunday's home game against the Giants. Since joining the Raiders in late October, Lockett has caught 19 passes (on 26 targets) for 207 yards, and the veteran wide receiver could take on a larger role in the offense after Brock Bowers (knee) was placed on injured reserve.

  • Dalton Schultz TE | HOU

Texans' Dalton Schultz: Logs full practice Wednesday

    Schultz (knee) practiced fully Wednesday.

Schultz was deemed limited Tuesday, but the tight end's return to a full session a day later sets him up to be available for Saturday's game against the Chargers. Schultz has scored in each of his last two games, a span in which he has caught 13 of his 14 targets for 111 yards, a pace that keeps him firmly on the fantasy radar at the TE position in Week 17.

  • Jets' Justin Fields: Officially placed on IR

The Jets placed Fields (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday, Susanna Weir of the team's official site reports.

Head coach Aaron Glenn announced Tuesday that Fields would be shut down for the rest of the season due to a knee injury, so the latter's placement on IR was a procedural move to open a spot on the 53-man roster for safety Christopher Smith. Fields posted a 2-7 record across nine starts this season, completing 62.7 percent of his passes for 1,259 yards, seven touchdowns, one interception and 27 sacks while turning 71 carries into 383 yards (5.4 YPC) and four scores. Fields will enter the second year of his two-year, $40 million contract in 2026, though it's unclear whether he'll be part of the Jets' future plans.

  • A.J. Brown WR | PHI

Eagles' A.J. Brown: DNP on Wednesday

    Brown (teeth) didn't practice Wednesday.

Brown was listed with teeth on the Eagles' first Week 17 injury report, so he likely underwent some sort of dental procedure Wednesday. He'll have two more chances to mix into drills this week, or else he'll be at risk of carrying a designation into the weekend for Sunday's game at Buffalo. Brown has reeled off a 44-540-4 line on 63 targets in seven contests since Philadelphia's Week 9 bye.

  • Tim Patrick WR | JAC

Jaguars' Tim Patrick: Dealing with foot injury

Patrick (foot) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Patrick may have picked up the injury during the Jaguars' Week 16 win over the Broncos, when he caught his only target for 11 yards while playing 18 offensive snaps. His ability to practice in a limited capacity indicates that the injury isn't considered a long-term issue, and he would avoid an injury tag for Sunday's AFC South tilt against the Colts if he were to practice fully by Friday. Patrick has caught 10 passes (on 16 targets) for 120 yards and two touchdowns over his last six games.

  • Josh Jacobs RB | GB

Packers' Josh Jacobs: Another limited session

Jacobs (knee/ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Jacobs has been playing through lingering knee and ankle injuries since Week 11 at the Giants, with his most recent outing this past Saturday in Chicago resulting in 14 touches for 48 yards from scrimmage on a 39 percent snap share. He also logged just two plays on offense after his lost fumble in the third quarter, which resulted in No. 2 RB Emanuel Wilson turning 14 carries into 82 yards on 46 percent of the snaps. Wilson would stand to benefit again Saturday against the Ravens if Jacobs is inhibited or even sidelined for that contest.
