Broncos' Talanoa Hufanga: Sets career high in tackles
Hufanga recorded 106 tackles (67 solo), including 2.0 sacks, 11 passes defensed and one forced fumble over 17 games in 2025.
Hufanga's first year with the Broncos was undoubtedly a success, as the veteran safety finished the season with the second-most tackles of any Broncos defender behind only Alex Singleton (135). The 25-year-old signed a three-year deal with Denver in 2025 after spending the first four years of his career in San Francisco, and he has proven to be a key contributor for the Broncos in just his first season with the team. Looking ahead to the 2026 campaign, Hufanga will look to build upon his strong start in the Mile High City, helping the Broncos to continue to boast one of the league's best defenses again next season.

Broncos' Talanoa Hufanga: Another quiet performance
Hufanga had three solo tackles during the Broncos' 34-26 win over the Packers on Sunday.
Hufanga played every single defensive snap for the eighth time this season and fifth time over his last six games, but his three stops were his lowest since Week 4 against the Bengals (one). Hufanga is up to 97 combined tackles through 14 regular-season games, which matches his career high that he set in 2022 across 17 regular-season games as a member of the 49ers. The 2021 fifth-rounder should crack the tackling century mark during the Broncos' Week 16 tilt against the Jaguars this Sunday.

Broncos' Talanoa Hufanga: Mostly unremarkable day Sunday
Hufanga recorded five tackles (four solo) during Sunday's 24-17 win at Las Vegas.
Hufanga only had to play 44 defensive snaps in Week 14, contributing to a depressed tackle total compared to recent weeks. With 94 tackles through 13 games, he's now on the doorstep of the first 100-plus tackle season of his career and he should get plenty of opportunities in a matchup versus a run-first Packers offense in Week 15.

Broncos' Talanoa Hufanga: Career-high 13 tackles in OT win
Hufanga posted 13 tackles (10 solo) and one pass defense during the Broncos' 27-26 overtime win over the Commanders on Sunday.
Hufanga played every defensive snap for a fourth consecutive game (and seventh time this season), and he finished Sunday's OT win with a career-high 13 stops, two of which were for a loss. The fifth-year safety has logged double-digit tackles five times during his NFL career, three of which have occurred in 2025. He is up to 89 total tackles through 12 regular-season games and is well on pace to crack the century mark for the first time in his career.

Broncos' Talanoa Hufanga: Iffy for Sunday with illness
Hufanga was added to the Denver injury report and is listed as questionable to play Sunday against the Commanders due to an illness, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Hufanga's status for Sunday's game won't be officially known until Denver announces its list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. If Hufanga can't play Week 13, Devon Key would likely be first in line to replace him as one of Denver's starting safeties.
