Zay Jones WR | ARI
Raiders' Zay Jones: Catches game-winning touchdown
Jones caught two passes for 46 yards, including the game-winning 31-yard touchdown in overtime, during Monday's 33-27 win over the Ravens.
Jones caught both of his targets and finished fifth on the Raiders in receiving yards as Derek Carr threw for 435 yards on Monday Night Football. While the 26-year-old finished fifth in yards, he was tied with Josh Jacobs for the least amount of targets. Jones' fantasy value remains limited for the 2021 campaign.

Bryan Edwards WR | NO
Raiders' Bryan Edwards: Denied walkoff TD reception
Edwards caught four of five targets for 81 yards Monday in Las Vegas' 33-27 overtime win over Baltimore.
Though Edwards met expectations and perhaps even exceeded them for fantasy managers in deeper leagues that deployed him in Week 1 lineups, the second-year wideout narrowly missed out on producing an even bigger stat line. On Las Vegas' first possession of overtime, Edwards appeared to win the game for the Raiders when he hauled in a 33-yard pass from Derek Carr and stretched the ball across the goal line, but a replay review determined the ball only reached the half-yard line before his knee hit the ground. Regardless, Edwards looks like he'll be in store for an expanded role in his second season after he tallied only 11 receptions in 12 games as a rookie. He led all Las Vegas wideouts in snap share Monday, playing 57 of 86 offensive snaps in the win, according to Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee.

Lil'Jordan Humphrey WR | DEN
Saints' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: No targets in Week 1
Humphrey logged 18 offensive snaps but was not targeted with a pass during Sunday's 38-3 win over Green Bay.
The 6-foot-4 receiver drew the start opposite Marquez Callaway, but he ultimately logged just 29 percent of the offensive snaps compared to 84 for Callaway and 44 for Deonte Harris. Moreover, Humphrey largely focuses on blocking tasks when he does see the field, so it's hard to get excited about his fantasy potential even if he is a starter in the absence of Michael Thomas (ankle) and Tre'Quan Smith (hamstring). Next up for the Saints is a Week 2 road game in Carolina.
-
Quez Watkins WR | IND
Eagles' Quez Watkins: Three catches in opener
Watkins caught all three of his targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 32-6 win over Atlanta.
Watkins drew the start and worked as the Eagles' third receiver in this one, showing the hype surrounding his preseason was legit. Oddly, however, all three of his catches came on the first three plays of the opening drive, and he wasn't targeted again despite the success. The 2020 sixth-round pick saw 34 snaps on offense -- two more than J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Greg Ward combined -- and also served as the kick returner. Barring injury, the Southern Miss product will remain the fifth or sixth best receiving option in this offense going forward.
-
Marquise Brown WR | PHI
Ravens' Marquise Brown: Starts season with score
Brown caught all six of his targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 33-27 overtime loss to the Raiders. He also rushed once for five yards.
Brown's chemistry with quarterback Lamar Jackson was superior to that of some of his new teammates, whose timing appeared slightly off to start the season. In fact, Brown caught Jackson's lone touchdown toss -- a 10-yarder -- after finding room in the back of the end zone during a stellar scramble from the signal-caller. In catching all of the passes sent his way, Brown topped the team in receptions, but offseason addition Sammy Watkins led Baltimore in targets (eight) and receiving yards (96). Regardless, it was a good statistical performance for Brown to begin his third campaign, which will continue in Week 2 with a primetime showdown against Kansas City.

Alex Erickson WR | HOU
Panthers' Alex Erickson: Lands roster spot
Erickson was signed the the Panthers' active roster Monday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Erickson was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for the Panthers' Week 1 matchup against the Jets. He served as the team's punt returner in that contest, tallying three returns for 31 yards. Rather than having Erickson revert back to the practice squad, the team elected to add him to the active roster, and he should be set to maintain his special-teams role in Week 2 against New Orleans.
-
Josh Palmer WR | BUF
Chargers' Josh Palmer: Not No. 3 wideout just yet
Palmer caught his lone target for 17 yards in Sunday's 20-16 win over Washington.
Two weeks after reportedly beating out Tyron Johnson for the Chargers' No. 3 wideout role, Palmer saw just 14 offensive snaps compared to Jaylen Guyton's 53. The team could have simply been easing the rookie into his first professional game, but the difference in snaps is jarring given how strong the 2021 third-rounder's training camp supposedly was. Palmer's playing time likely will increase as the season progresses, but for the moment he's safely off the radar, even in deeper fantasy formats.
-
Tutu Atwell WR | LAR
Rams' Tutu Atwell: Only two snaps in NFL debut
Atwell wasn't targeted on his two offensive snaps and didn't play on special teams during Sunday's 34-14 win over Chicago.
It was a quiet debut for the rookie, and it's particularly telling that he wasn't utilized in a kick- or punt-returning role. Atwell projects to establish a specialty role in the offense over the course of the season because of his elite speed and game-breaking potential in space. However, it's clear he's not being rushed into action. The Rams have four capable receivers ahead of him on the depth chart, including proven speedster DeSean Jackson.
-
Gabe Davis WR | BUF
Bills' Gabriel Davis: Strong season debut
Davis caught two of five targets for 40 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's loss to the Steelers.
As the fourth receiver, Davis was only out there for 51 percent of the offensive snaps -- Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders all saw 91 percent or more -- but he made the most of his time and had the only Buffalo touchdown on the day. Unless one of the three guys in front of him gets hurt, it's tough to envision Davis seeing mega targets each week, but he showed as a rookie in 2020 that he can be a producer when he's out there, as illustrated by his seven TD catches.
-
Jalen Guyton WR | LV
Chargers' Jalen Guyton: Emerges as No. 3 wideout
Guyton caught three of his five targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 20-16 victory over Washington.
Guyton, not Josh Palmer, was clearly the team's No. 3 wideout behind Keenan Allen and Mike Williams as the speedy wideout was a certifiable threat for quarterback Justin Herbert in the intermediate level. Underutilized as simply a speed decoy in Anthony Lynn's offensive system, Guyton could be poised to actually make good on his large number of snaps on a week-to-week basis.
