  • Amari Cooper WR | LV

Cowboys' Amari Cooper: Status murky for Week 3

Cowboys president Jerry Jones expressed uncertainty about Cooper's (rib) availability for Monday's game against the Eagles, but he's "hopeful" the star wideout will be ready to play in the Week 3 matchup, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports. "I don't know today. I'm hopeful those ribs can get comfortable enough for him to play by the weekend, but I don't know," Jones said Tuesday during his radio appearance on 105.3 The Fan Dallas.

Cooper came away from this past weekend's 20-17 win over the Chargers with a bruised rib, though the injury didn't prevent him from playing all but two of the Cowboys' 60 offensive snaps. According to Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News, head coach Mike McCarthy said Cooper's injury originated from the Cowboys' season-opening loss to the Buccaneers, so the wideout's status for Week 3 may ultimately come down to a matter of pain tolerance. Even if Cooper suits up for the Cowboys' first divisional game, he'll likely have his practice reps managed to some extent Thursday through Saturday.

  • Steelers' Diontae Johnson: Showing improvement

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that Johnson's knee injury is "looking better, not to be confused with great," Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Though Johnson appears to have averted a major injury in Sunday's loss to the Raiders, his availability for this weekend's game against the Bengals remains very much up in the air. Before assessing Johnson's status for Week 3, the Steelers will see what kind of activity the top target for Ben Roethlisberger (pectoral) is able to do in practices Wednesday through Friday. If Johnson is forced out of action against Cincinnati, James Washington would likely be the top candidate to claim the available reps alongside JuJu Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool in three-receiver formations.

  • Lions' KhaDarel Hodge: No snaps on offense

Hodge logged 14 snaps on special teams during Monday's 35-17 loss to Green Bay.

After being a healthy scratch in Week 1, Hodge was active Monday but he didn't see any snaps on offense despite the absence of Tyrell Williams (concussion).

  • Trinity Benson WR | CLE

Lions' Trinity Benson: Playing time decreases

Benson caught one of three targets for 24 yards during Monday's 35-17 loss to Green Bay.

Despite the fact Tyrell Williams (concussion) was watching from the sidelines, Benson logged fewer snaps than he did in Week 1 as Quintez Cephus stole the show among Lions wide receivers. However, Benson had a chance to salvage his day with a touchdown on the last drive only for a Packers cornerback to get his hands on the ball at the last second. If Williams remains sidelined in Week 3, Benson could get another realistic chance to produce in a home matchup against Baltimore.

  • Nico Collins WR | HOU

Texans' Nico Collins: Ruled out for Week 3

Texans head coach David Culley confirmed Tuesday that Collins (shoulder) won't play Thursday against the Panthers, Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Houston hasn't offered up many details on the shoulder injury Collins suffered in a Week 2 loss to the Browns, but Culley said Monday that the rookie's medical concern is "pretty significant," per Kubena. Meanwhile, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Collins is likely facing a 3-4 week recovery timeline from the injury, making the 22-year-old a candidate for injured reserve. Culley indicated that Jordan Veasy and/or Chris Moore could be elevated from the practice squad ahead of Thursday's game to give the Texans another perimeter receiver. Through his first two NFL contests, Collins hauled in two of four targets for 39 yards across 45 offensive snaps.

  • Kalif Raymond WR | CHI

Lions' Kalif Raymond: Little production in starting role

Raymond caught two of two targets for 18 yards during Monday's 35-17 loss to the Packers.

Raymond was expected to serve as the No. 1 receiver with Tyrell Williams (concussion) sidelined, but he popped up on the injury report late in the week with a thigh injury. While Raymond was in the starting lineup despite being listed as questionable to play, he ultimately finished a distant second in snaps behind Quintez Cephus, who led Lions wideouts in nearly all receiving categories. It's not clear how long Williams could remain sidelined, but Raymond would figure to log a majority of the snaps if Williams can't suit up for Detroit's Week 3 matchup with Baltimore.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Catches three passes

St. Brown caught three of five targets for 18 yards during Monday's 35-17 loss to Green Bay.

With Tyrell Williams (concussion) sidelined and Kalif Raymond banged up after injuring his thigh in practice, it was Quintez Cephus and not St. Brown who led Lions wideouts in snaps, targets, receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. Tight end T.J. Hockenson and running back D'Andre Swift served as the other biggest producers in the passing game while St. Brown was only a complementary piece. Until the rookie starts becoming more involved in the passing game, St. Brown will be hard to trust in any fantasy format.

  • Randall Cobb WR | NYJ

Packers' Randall Cobb: Comes up with three catches

Cobb was targeted three times and caught three passes for 26 yards in Monday's 35-17 victory over the Lions.

Cobb did not do much for fantasy GMs Monday night, but he was at least more involved after catching one pass in Week 1, and that from backup Jordan Love. Cobb has a history with starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but he has not had many chances to make an impact early on, playing fewer than 25 percent of the offensive snaps through two games.

  • Allen Lazard WR | NYJ

Packers' Allen Lazard: Not targeted Monday night

Lazard was not targeted in Monday's 35-17 victory over the Lions.

Lazard was on the field for 42 of a possible 65 plays Monday, which was one fewer than Marquez Valdes-Scantling and 30 more than Randall Cobb. However, he did not garner even one pass in his direction from quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Based on snaps played Lazard is pretty clearly a top-three option among Packers wideouts, but with just two receptions and 16 yards through two weeks, he's going to be tough to trust in fantasy lineups in Week 3.

  • Willie Snead WR | MIA

Raiders' Willie Snead: Makes first catch as Raider

Snead caught his only target for 14 yards in Sunday's 26-17 win over the Steelers.

Snead played less than five offensive snaps for a second straight week, but he managed to record his first reception of the season Sunday in Pittsburgh. Nonetheless, Snead remains behind Zay Jones in the pecking order at wide receiver for the Raiders.
