49ers' KhaDarel Hodge: Signs with San Francisco
The 49ers signed Hodge to a contract Wednesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Hodge had a tryout with the Bills last Thursday, but the wide receiver will ultimately end up in California. The 31-year-old joins the 49ers amidst a near-unprecedented string of injuries. In the wide receiver room alone, Mike Evans (quadriceps), Christian Kirk (calf), De'Zhaun Stribling (hamstring), Jacob Cowing (hip) and Ricky Pearsall (knee) have already sustained injuries of varying severity. The mass loss of players means Hodge will be filling in for meaningful reps as the team continues its training activities.

KhaDarel Hodge: Tries out in Buffalo
Hodge tried out for the Bills on Thursday, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo Newsreports.
Hodge was released by the Falcons in March with a shoulder injury. The veteran receiver has served as a depth wideout and special-teams asset throughout his eight-year career, and he'd profile for the same role if he does land another NFL opportunity.

Hodge (shoulder) was released by the Falcons with a failed physical designation Monday, Will McFadden and Tori McElhaney of the team's official site report.
Hodge was informed in February that he will be released, and Monday's move makes it official. The 31-year-old wide receiver hasn't finished any of his eight regular seasons with more than 232 receiving yards, but Hodge should garner interest in the free-agent market due to his ability on special teams, for which he made the Pro Bowl in 2024.

The Falcons informed Hodge (shoulder) on Wednesday that he will be released, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
Hodge finished the 2025 season on injured reserve while recovering from a shoulder injury, but assuming that doesn't linger into the start of the upcoming campaign, the 31-year-old should be able to catch on elsewhere as a depth wideout/special teamer. Over his 12 appearances this past season, Hodge caught three of his 10 targets for 31 yards and recorded nine tackles on special teams.

Falcons' KhaDarel Hodge: Moved to IR
The Falcons moved Hodge (shoulder) to injured reserve Friday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.
Hodge was ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals and was promptly moved to IR. This move will end the wide receiver's season, as the mandatory four-week reserve period will extend through Week 18. Hodge finishes the season with three receptions for 31 yards on 10 targets through 12 games. In a corresponding move, the Falcons signed safety Jammie Robinson to stabilize an injured defensive back room.

Hodge caught three of eight targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Dolphins.
Hodge's eight targets were the second most of any Falcons pass catcher Sunday. The veteran wideout played 66 percent of Atlanta's offensive snaps, by far his largest snap share of the 2025 campaign. This uptick in playing time came on a day when No. 1 receiver Drake London was sidelined due to a hip injury. Despite the increased usage and season-high eight targets, Hodge and the entire Falcons offense struggled to get much going. The 31-year-old should not be trusted for fantasy purposes, even if London were to miss more time. The Falcons visit the Patriots in Week 9.
