Scott Miller WR | CHI
Falcons' Scotty Miller: Makes cameo appearance Friday
Miller caught his only target for nine yards in Friday's preseason win over the Dolphins.
After four seasons in Tampa Bay, Miller signed a one-year deal with Atlanta in the spring and was thought to be set as the No. 3 wideout behind Drake London and Mack Hollins. However, while the Falcons sat out all their main starters in the team's preseason opener, Miller actually saw brief action and caught his only pass from third-string QB Logan Woodside on the opening drive. He may not be as secure in his spot as was previously assumed, but unless another receiver makes a strong push in camp, Miller should head into Week 1 with a role in three-wide sets.

Treylon Burks WR | WAS
Titans' Treylon Burks: Breakout season vibes in camp
Burks has been impressive in training camp in working alongside DeAndre Hopkins, Joe Rexrode of The Athletic reports. Burks says he's much more confident and in better shape ahead of his second season, USA Today reports.
Rexrode says Burks is giving daily "breakout season" vibes in camp. Burks battled asthma and conditioning issues while missing practices in the offseason in 2022, but he has had a fully healthy camp this summer. He entered the offseason ready to be the No. 1 receiver but has moved to the No. 2 role after the late July signing of DeAndre Hopkins. Burks could still have a breakout season, as Hopkins could draw more of the defense's focus and open the field for Burks. Head coach Mike Vrabel has left the door open for some veterans to play in Saturday's preseason opener, but we'd expect Burks to sit out the contest.

Elijah Moore WR | PHI
Browns' Elijah Moore: Visits locker room Friday
Moore (undisclosed) went to the locker room during Friday's preseason game versus the Commanders, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
After the contest was delayed by more than an hour due to rain, Moore impressed after kickoff with an 18-yard end-around and a six-yard catch on his sole target. He then visited the sidelined medical tent before making his way off the field. The nature of Moore's injury is unknown, but this is a setback after his great play in the offseason program followed him into training camp.

Amari Cooper WR | LV
Browns' Amari Cooper: Sitting again Friday
Cooper isn't slated to play in Friday's preseason game against the Commanders, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Cooper also didn't play in last Thursday's Hall of Fame Game, so he'll have just two more chances to get some exhibition action before the regular season. With Cooper sidelined, Elijah Moore, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cedric Tillman and David Bell, among others, will be the Browns' available wide receivers Friday.
-
Collin Johnson WR | LV
Giants' Collin Johnson: Will not return Friday
Johnson has been declared out for the remainder of Friday's preseason game in Detroit due to a knee injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
According to Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record, Johnson was able to take a knee next to his wide receiver coach and did not appear to be in much distress, so there is reason for optimism going forward. He failed to bring in his only target prior to leaving the game. The 25-year-old is competing against a crowded receiver room for a depth role with the team this season.

Braxton Berrios WR | NYG
Dolphins' Braxton Berrios: Sustains injury Friday
Berrios (undisclosed) went to the locker room with a Dolphins trainer during Friday's preseason game against the Falcons, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Berrios was on the receiving end of a big collision during a punt return in the second quarter. If he's unable to return Friday, he'll finish Miami's exhibition opener with two catches (on four targets) for 11 yards and two punt returns for eight yards.

Christian Watson WR | GB
Packers' Christian Watson: In line to play Friday
Watson is expected to play in Friday's preseason game at Cincinnati, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Watson will join new Packers No. 1 quarterback Jordan Love in the starting lineup for the team's exhibition opener. In fact, with only Grant DuBose not slated to suit up Friday, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed and Samori Toure, among others, will be available at wide receiver for Green Bay.
-
Chris Godwin WR | TB
Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Unlikely to play Friday
Godwin isn't in line to play in Friday's preseason contest versus the Steelers, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Both Godwin and Mike Evans aren't suiting up for Tampa Bay's exhibition opener, which will give Russell Gage, Trey Palmer, Deven Thompkins and David Moore, among others, a chance for reps at wide receiver. Godwin's next opportunity for some preseason action will happen Saturday, Aug. 19 at the Jets.
-
Mike Evans WR | SF
Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Not suiting up Friday
Evans isn't slated to play in Friday's preseason contest against the Steelers, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Both Evans and Chris Godwin aren't suiting up for the Buccaneers' exhibition opener, meaning Russell Gage, Trey Palmer, Deven Thompkins and David Moore, among others, will be the wide receivers available to the offense. Evans' next chance for some preseason action will arrive Saturday, Aug. 19 at the Jets.

Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN
Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Not slated to play Friday
Waddle (undisclosed) is not in line to see action in Friday's preseason opener against the Falcons.
Waddle left Wednesday's practice with an unspecified issue, but either way, it seems unlikely he would have played in the contest, with other key players like top QB Tua Tagovailoa, fellow WR Tyreek Hill and RBs Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson (undisclosed) also slated to sit this one out. Waddle's next chance to see preseason action will occur next Saturday against the Texans.
