  • Cedric Tillman WR | CLE

Browns' Cedric Tillman: Makes big catch Thursday

Tillman secured two of three targets for 50 yards in the Browns' 18-18 preseason tie with the Eagles on Thursday night.

Tillman saw both of his targets on the Browns' first drive, a 12-play, 75-yard march that ended in a John Kelly fumble at the shadow of the Eagles' goal line. The bulk of Tillman's production came on a game-long 36-yard reception down the left side that put the ball at Philadelphia's 16-yard line. Tillman has recorded a pair of grabs in each of the Browns' first three preseason games, and with Elijah Moore (rib) and Marquise Goodwin (NFI-illness) both still sidelined, the rookie third-round pick appears on track to open the regular season in a solid complementary role.

  • Elijah Moore WR | PHI

Browns' Elijah Moore: Considers himself 'day-to-day'

Moore didn't play in Thursday's preseason game at Philadelphia, but he told Aditi Kinkhabwala of CBS Sports that he's "day-to-day" due to the rib injury he sustained in last Friday's preseason loss to the Commanders.

Despite the health concern, Moore was able to participate in individual drills at Tuesday's joint practice with the Eagles. His quote from Thursday indicates he may receive clearance for all activity in the near future, perhaps with an eye toward making an appearance in the Browns' exhibition finale at Kansas City on Saturday, Aug. 26.

  • Bears' Velus Jones: Misses practice Thursday

Jones (undisclosed) was absent from Thursday's joint practice with the Colts, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.

It's not clear what caused Jones to miss the joint practice session, but Bears head coach Matt Eberflus stated that the wideout/kick returner isn't dealing with a serious injury and is with the team in Indianapolis. Jones had a rough preseason opener last week and may need to show improvement the rest of the way to earn a roster spot. If he does make the team, the 26-year-old is expected to work as the Bears' top kick returner while filling just a minimal role on offense.

  • Eagles' Olamide Zaccheaus: Hurts shoulder Thursday

Zaccheaus sustained a shoulder injury during Thursday's preseason game against the Browns.

While the Eagles top wide receiver duo of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith along with Quez Watkins (hamstring) didn't play in the team's second exhibition, Zaccheaus was available and hauled in one of three targets for 17 yards prior to his departure. Considering it's a preseason game, Philadelphia likely will exercise caution and not risk Zaccheaus' health any more, but the 'questionable' announcement suggests that he likely avoided a serious injury.

  • Tyler Adams WR | IND

Colts' Tyler Adams: Signs with Indianapolis

Adams signed with the Colts on Thursday.

The wide receiver joined Indianapolis after Ashton Dulin was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. Adams initially inked a deal with the team as an undrafted free agent in May, but he was waived in June so the Colts could add Breshad Perriman. The rookie will compete for a depth role.

  • Amari Cooper WR | LV

Browns' Amari Cooper: Not slated to play Thursday

Cooper isn't in line to play in Thursday's preseason contest against the Eagles.

Joining Cooper as key Cleveland players not slated to see action Thursday are QB Deshaun Watson, RBs Nick Chubb and Jerome Ford (hamstring), TEs David Njoku and Jordan Akins, as well as fellow WRs Elijah Moore (ribs) and Donovan Peoples-Jones. Look for the likes of Cedric Tillman, David Bell, Anthony Schwartz, Mike Harley, Austin Watkins and Jalen Wayne to have opportunities to catch passes in the Browns' third exhibition contest.

  • Elijah Moore WR | PHI

Browns' Elijah Moore: Won't play Thursday night

Moore (ribs) won't play in Thursday night's preseason game against the Eagles.

Moore bruised his ribs in the preseason opener but returned to individual drills earlier this week, so this isn't any sort of long-term issue. Most of the Browns' offensive starters aren't playing Thursday.

  • Matt Landers WR | TEN

Seahawks' Matt Landers: Misses practice Thursday

Landers (quadriceps) didn't practice Thursday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Undrafted out of Arkansas this year, Landers signed with the Seahawks and caught a 30-yard touchdown in last weekend's preseason opener. He needs to get healthy quickly if he's going to push for a spot on the practice squad.

  • Easop Winston WR | NYJ

Seahawks' Easop Winston: Absent with groin injury

Winston (groin) didn't practice Thursday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.

Winston ran 16 routes in the Seahawks' preseason opener. He mainly operated out of the slot, where he caught three passes for 29 yards and one touchdown on four targets. The 26-year-old is competing for a depth receiver role.

  • Jalen Nailor WR | LV

Vikings' Jalen Nailor: Absent from practice

Nailor (leg) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Nailor remains sidelined after injuring his leg on July 29. The second-year pass catcher is a fringe candidate to make the Vikings' 53-man roster and the team appears to be exercising caution with him as of now. He accumulated 179 yards and one touchdown on nine receptions during his rookie campaign. There is no word on his official timeline for return.
