  • Zay Flowers WR | BAL

Ravens' Zay Flowers: Racks up catches in pro debut

Flowers brought in nine of 10 targets for 78 yards and rushed twice for nine yards in the Ravens' 25-9 win over the Texans on Sunday.

Flowers' pro debut was even more impressive than the numbers indicate when factoring in Lamar Jackson completed just 17 passes for 169 yards overall. The rookie's longest catch went for a relatively modest 21 yards, but after averaging 15.3 yards per reception in his four college seasons, the short-area role he filled Sunday isn't likely to be the norm. Flowers will look to build on his status as Baltimore's leading receiver across the board when he faces the Bengals on the road in Week 2.

  • Elijah Moore WR | PHI

Browns' Elijah Moore: Leading receiver in team debut

Moore caught three of seven targets for 43 yards and rushed twice for 19 yards in Sunday's 24-3 win over the Bengals.

Making his Cleveland debut after being acquired from the Jets in an offseason trade, Moore led his new team in receiving yards while tying for the team lead in targets with Amari Cooper. Moore's speed complements Cooper's contested catch ability and Nick Chubb's physicality on the ground, so the new addition should continue to play a prominent role on Monday Night Football against the Steelers in Week 2.

  • Amari Cooper WR | LV

Browns' Amari Cooper: Seven targets in rainy opener

Cooper caught three of seven targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 24-3 win over the Bengals.

Cooper tied Elijah Moore for the team lead in targets and finished six receiving yards shy of Moore's 43, which led all receivers on either team on a rainy afternoon. In his first season with the Browns last year, Cooper produced his sixth 1,000-yard campaign and scored a career-high nine touchdowns. The veteran wide receiver should remain a key target for QB Deshaun Watson in Week 2 against the Steelers on Monday Night Football.

  • Jordan Addison WR | MIN

Vikings' Jordan Addison: Scores touchdown in pro debut

Addison brought in four of six targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings' 20-17 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.

The rookie first-round pick managed to make some noise right from the onset of his pro career, hauling in a 39-yard scoring pass early in the second quarter for Minnesota's first points of the season. Addison finished second on the Vikings in receiving yardage behind his prolific fellow starting wideout Justin Jefferson while checking in third in targets behind him and T.J. Hockenson. Addison will aim to build on a strong debut during a tough Week 2 road matchup against the Eagles on Thursday night and attempt to capitalize on the defensive attention sure to come the way of his aforementioned pair of fellow pass catchers.

  • Colts' Michael Pittman: Finds end zone in Sunday's loss

Pittman caught eight of 11 targets for 97 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-21 loss to the Jaguars.

Rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson quickly realized Pittman was his most reliable option, leaning on him heavily with the game on the line in the fourth quarter. No other Colts player managed more than 39 receiving yards on the afternoon -- a total Pittman matched on a single play when he took a third-quarter screen pass 39 yards to the end zone. Richardson left Sunday's loss late with a bruised knee, but whether the 2023 fourth overall pick is under center in Week 2 or gets replaced by Gardner Minshew, Pittman will be a big part of the Indy game plan against the Texans.

  • Mike Williams WR | LAC

Chargers' Mike Williams: Exits Sunday's game

Williams is being evaluated for a head injury during Sunday's game against the Dolphins.

Prior to his exit from the contest, Williams caught his only target for three yards. In his absence, Joshua Palmer, Quentin Johnstonand Derius Davis are on hand to log WR snaps alongside Keenan Allen.

  • Tee Higgins WR | CIN

Bengals' Tee Higgins: No catches in season opener

Higgins finished without a catch on eight targets in Sunday's 24-3 loss to the Browns.

After failing to work out a contract extension with the Bengals prior to the season, Higgins started this potential contract year with a goose egg. Higgins was blanked on three first-half targets as Joe Burrow threw for just 36 yards and the Bengals took a 10-0 deficit into the locker room. Things didn't get any better after halftime, as Burrow finished with just 82 yards and Higgins remained catch-less. Higgins topped 1,000 yards in each of the previous two seasons, so he's likely to shake off this clunker in Week 2 against the Ravens.

  • Chris Olave WR | NO

Saints' Chris Olave: Eight catches to start new season

Olave recorded eight receptions on 10 targets for 112 yards in Sunday's 16-15 win over the Titans.

Even with both Rashid Shaheed and Michael Thomas playing a significant role in the offense, Olave turned in a strong start to his sophomore season. His performance was highlighted by a 45-yard catch and run early in the second half when he found a soft spot in the middle of the Titans' secondary on a crossing route. He supplemented that with additional receptions in intermediate areas of the field, helping him top 100 receiving yards -- a feat he accomplished three times as a rookie. Olave should remain a focus of the offense heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Panthers.

  • Mike Evans WR | SF

Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Finds end zone in Week 1 win

Evans secured six of 10 targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 20-17 win over the Vikings on Sunday.

Evans finished as the team leader in receptions, receiving yards and targets, helping Baker Mayfield author an upset victory on the road in his first official game as future Hall of Famer Tom Brady's successor. The multi-time Pro Bowl receiver, who was unable to come to terms on a contract extension with the Buccaneers before the start of the season, recorded an impressive 28-yard touchdown grab with just over a minute left in the first half to begin Tampa Bay's comeback from a 10-3 deficit. Evans should naturally remain one of Mayfield's top targets throughout the season, and he'll have a chance to work with his new quarterback at home for the first time in what could be a favorable Week 2 matchup against the Bears.

  • Deebo Samuel WR | WAS

49ers' Deebo Samuel: Five catches in Week 1

Samuel caught five of seven targets for 55 yards and rushed twice for eight yards in Sunday's 30-7 win over the Steelers.

Samuel finished one target shy of Brandon Aiyuk's team lead, but Aiyuk caught all eight of those targets for 129 yards and two touchdowns to pace San Francisco's passing game. Aiyuk, Samuel, George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey combined for 26 targets while the rest of San Francisco's offense accounted for only two. Those four major contributors should all have certain weeks in which they shine, and it was Aiyuk's and McCaffrey's (169 scrimmage yards, one TD) turn in Week 1. Samuel could have his number called more often against the Rams in Week 2.
