Devin Duvernay WR | ARI
Ravens' Devin Duvernay: Officially moves to IR
Duvernay (back) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
The move doesn't come as a surprise after Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Tuesday that the two-time Pro Bowl return man would likely miss the final four weeks of the regular season due to the back injury he suffered in this past Sunday's 37-31 overtime win over the Rams. Duvernay isn't expected to require a procedure on his back, and the Ravens are optimistic that he'll be eligible to return from IR when first eligible in advance of the postseason. In the meantime, Tylan Wallace is expected to take over as the Ravens' top return man in Duvernay's absence.

Marquise Brown WR | PHI
Cardinals' Marquise Brown: No return to practice yet
Brown (heel) isn't practicing Wednesday, Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com reports.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon suggested Monday that Brown likely would practice this week, after having a Week 14 bye to heal up following an early exit from the Cardinals' Week 13 win over Pittsburgh. Brown is tending to the same heel injury that he played through for multiple weeks before he experienced a setback in Pittsburgh, and he'll still have two more chances to practice prior to Sunday's matchup with San Francisco.

Nico Collins WR | HOU
Texans' Nico Collins: Hoping to play this week
Collins (calf) didn't practice Wednesday, but he was present and moving around on the sideline and hopes to play in Sunday's game against Tennessee, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Collins missed Week 10 with a calf strain but was no worse for the wear after his return, catching 23 passes for 360 yards and two touchdowns Weeks 11 through 13. He then left Sunday's 30-6 loss to the Jets in the first quarter with a new calf concern and was unable to return, putting his status in question for Week 15. Quarterback C.J. Stroud (concussion) and tight end Dalton Schultz (hamstring) also are in danger of missing the game at Tennessee, though Schultz returned to practice Wednesday.

Demario Douglas WR | NE
Patriots' Demario Douglas: Returns to practice
Douglas (concussion) was present for practice Wednesday, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
Douglas has missed two straight games, but the wide receiver's presence at Wednesday's practice paves the way for a potential return to action Sunday against the Chiefs. The Patriots will reveal the extent of Douglas' participation in practice when the team releases its first Week 15 injury report later Wednesday.

Nico Collins WR | HOU
Texans' Nico Collins: No activity Wednesday
Collins (calf) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
Collins injured his calf in the first quarter of this past Sunday's 30-6 loss at the Jets and didn't return, leaving the Texans and rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud without their top two wide receivers with Tank Dell (fibula) out for the season. While Collins has two more chances to mix into drills this week, the team again may be preparing to operate with a compromised receiving corps on the health front, though tight end Dalton Schultz (hamstring) -- who missed the last two contests -- returned to the field Wednesday. Currently, Noah Brown, Robert Woods, Xavier Hutchinson and John Metchie are Houston's healthy receivers on the 53-man roster.

Justin Jefferson WR | MIN
Vikings' Justin Jefferson: Expecting normal workload Saturday
Jefferson (chest) said Wednesday that he expects to play in Saturday's game against the Bengals and shouldn't have any restrictions, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.
Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune relays that testing at a local hospital ruled out broken ribs and internal bleeding after Jefferson was forced out early in the Vikings' 3-0 win over the Raiders on Sunday. Jefferson was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's estimated practice report, but he doesn't seem worried about missing the Vikings' upcoming game .

Scott Miller WR | CHI
Falcons' Scott Miller: Goes catchless on three targets
Miller played 18 of 72 snaps on offense in Sunday's 29-25 loss to the Buccaneers and failed to haul in any of his three targets.
Facing off against his former team for the second time in his career, Miller was unable to capitalize on either of his targets deep downfield and was also unable to connect with quarterback Desmond Ridder on a short look in the fourth quarter. During his time in Tampa Bay, the speedy Miller occasionally showed the ability to rip of big chunks of yardage while he was on the receiving end of deep targets from Jameis Winston or Tom Brady, but he's delivered just one splash play -- a 46-yard reception in Week 7 -- during his first season in Atlanta. It hasn't helped Miller's case that he's been limited to a rotational role with the Falcons, as his snap shares have ranged between 12 and 39 percent this season.

Richie James WR | KC
Chiefs' Richie James: Makes four-yard grab in loss
James played 11 of 66 snaps on offense and hauled in one of his two targets for a four-yard reception in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Bills. He also returned three punts for 49 yards.
James made his third consecutive appearance since being activated from injured reserve Nov. 18 after missing seven games with an MCL injury. The 11 snaps were James' most in any of those three contests, but the Chiefs have made a concerted effort to get the ball in his hands when he's on the field. Over 24 total snaps on offense since he made his return to the lineup, James has been targeted four times.
-
Trent Sherfield WR | BUF
Bills' Trent Sherfield: Targeted twice in win
Sherfield played 15 of 77 snaps on offense and recorded one catch for nine yards on two targets in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Chiefs.
The 15 snaps placed Sherfield fourth among Bills receivers, trailing Gabe Davis (63), Stefon Diggs (61) and Khalil Shakir (47), but ranking ahead of Deonte Harty (three). Sherfield has drawn five targets over the Bills' last two contests, but he's not expected to see his profile in the passing attack expand while all of Davis, Diggs and Shakir remain healthy. It doesn't help Sherfield's case that tight end Dawson Knox made his return from injured reserve in Kansas City, which could result in fellow tight end Dalton Kincaid (shoulder) absorbing some of the snaps in the slot or on the perimeter that might have otherwise fallen to Shakir, Sherfield or Harty.

Justin Shorter TE | LV
Bills' Justin Shorter: Cleared for practice
Shorter (hamstring) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
Shorter was a fifth-round selection in the 2023 NFL Draft and has yet to play this season after going on IR on Aug. 30. He'll now have a 21-day window to practice with the team before the Bills would need to add him to the 53-man roster, but the wideout would be eligible to play this weekend against the Cowboys if the coaching staff determines he's ready to contribute.
