  • Buccaneers' Kameron Johnson: Returns to practice

Johnson (ribs) practiced Wednesday, Kenny Morales of WFLA News reports.

Johnson's return is a boost for the rookie who is trying to make the Buccaneers' 53-man roster as an undrafted free agent out of Barton College. Naturally considered a longshot to make it early on, Greg Auman of Fox Sports believes the 22-year-old will make the team as the No. 5 wide receiver, partially because of his ability to also be used as a return man on special teams.

  • Amari Cooper WR | LV

    Browns' Amari Cooper: Resumes practicing

Cooper (undisclosed) participated in practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

Cooper, who left this past Thursday's practice early after making a catch during 11-on-11 drills, was reportedly dealing with some soreness afterward, but the wideout has resumed practicing Wednesday. Assuming he suffered no setbacks, Cooper is a candidate to see action in Saturday's preseason finale, with head coach Kevin Stefanski having previously said that Browns starters "should expect to play" in the contest, per Kelsey Russo of the team's official site.

  • Treylon Burks WR | WAS

Titans' Treylon Burks: Exits practice Wednesday

Burks left Wednesday's practice with a trainer after landing hard on the field, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Wyatt notes that Burks held his back/hip area as he left the field late in the session, but was walking under his own power. Until added context is available, consider the wideout day-to-day as Sunday's preseason finale against the Saints approaches.

  • Roman Wilson WR | PIT

Steelers' Roman Wilson: Hopes to return soon

Wilson (ankle) said Wednesday that he won't be available for Saturday's preseason finale against the Lions, Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

That said, Wilson indicated that he hopes to be back in action soon. The rookie third-round pick suffered a left ankle sprain at the end of July, and at that time, he was viewed as week-to-week. Given that he's still sidelined, the rookie's status for the Sept. 8 regular-season opener in Atlanta is unclear. Once he's healthy, Wilson will look to secure a steady role in a Pittsburgh wideout corps headlined by George Pickens.

  • Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Back at practice Wednesday

Waddle (undisclosed) is practicing in full pads Wednesday and confirmed that he's nursing a minor injury, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

It's unclear whether Waddle participated in team drills Wednesday, per Omar Kelly of The Miami Herald, but in any case, it's encouraging to see the star wide receiver back at practice for the first time since Aug. 7. Waddle also noted that his undisclosed injury wouldn't have limited him during the regular season, but that the Dolphins opted for caution during the preseason. Friday's exhibition game against the Buccaneers will be Waddle's final chance to play during the preseason.

  • Cowboys' Jalen Cropper: Consistent showing in camp

Cropper has been the most consistent of the Cowboys' depth wide receivers in training camp, Saad Yousuf of The Athletic reports.

With CeeDee Lamb (contract dispute) holding out, there have been additional reps available behind Brandin Cooks (personal), Jalen Tolbert and Jalen Brooks, and Cropper has gotten a chance to make a positive impression on the coaching staff. The 23-year-old Fresno State product may have moved ahead of Tyron Billy-Johnson, Ryan Flournoy, Kelvin Harmon and the other wideouts fighting for one of the last spots on the 53-man roster, but there's no guarantee any of them make the cut -- in addition to the team's top four WRs, KaVontae Turpin is likely locked into a roster spot as well due to his value as a return man.

  • Eagles' Parris Campbell: Participating in practice

Campbell (groin) appears to be a full practice participant Wednesday, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Campbell returned to limited participation last week and is now practicing without any restrictions. He's competing for the No. 3 receiver job, with challengers Johnny Wilson and John Ross both in concussion protocol at the moment.

  • Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE

Browns' Jerry Jeudy: Could play Saturday

Jeudy participated in joint practices with the Vikings last week and may play in Saturday's preseason game versus the Seahawks, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski suggested that quarterback Deshaun Watson and other starters are scheduled to play in Saturday's preseason finale, after most of the team's key players were held out for the first two exhibitions. That includes Jeudy, who dealt with a knee injury earlier in training camp but has now been a full practice participant for about a week. The 25-year-old will be Cleveland's No. 2 wideout, slotting in between top option Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore on the depth chart.

  • Tyreek Hill WR | MIA

    Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Not practicing

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Hill (hand) will be held out of team drills Wednesday to avoid risk of further injury, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.

McDaniel said Hill could participate fully if needed, but there's no point of rushing him with Miami's regular-season opener 18 days away. Hill had a brace on his right hand at Tuesday's practice and didn't catch any passes.

  • Jordan Addison WR | MIN

Vikings' Jordan Addison: Doesn't practice Tuesday

Addison (ankle) did not practice Tuesday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Addison was carted off the field during an Aug. 14 practice with an ankle injury. Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said the next day that Addison did not suffer a major injury and isn't expected to miss extended time. However, there's no clear timetable for his return. It seems unlikely he'll play in any more preseason games.
