  • Josh Palmer WR | BUF

Chargers' Joshua Palmer: Status in question for Sunday

Palmer (elbow/calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh.

Palmer was held out of practice Wednesday and Thursday due to elbow and calf injuries, but neither concern is enough to rule him out for Week 3 action. In the end, his availability will be confirmed, one way or another, about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey would stand to benefit if Palmer is inhibited or sidelined this weekend, with Derius Davis, Simi Fehoko and Brenden Rice the other available wide receivers on the Chargers' active roster.

  • Cooper Kupp WR | SEA

    Rams' Cooper Kupp: Ruled out

Kupp (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against San Francisco, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reports.

It was only a matter of time, as the conversation surrounding Kupp has been more about injured reserve than his Week 3 availability. The Rams can only bring eight players back from IR all season and have six or seven return candidates on the list already, so they may keep Kupp on the active roster even if he's expected to miss four or more games. The team hasn't specifically commented on that aspect, but coach Sean McVay did say Monday that Kupp is likely out for an "extended period of time."

  • Vikings' Justin Jefferson: Avoids final injury report

Jefferson (quadriceps) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Houston, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

As promised by the man himself, Jefferson will be out there Sunday as the Vikings try for a surprising 3-0 start. Fellow wideout Jordan Addison (ankle) has been ruled out, but coach Kevin O'Connell told Goessling on Friday that Addison should have a good chance to return Week 4 against Green Bay.

  • Jordan Addison WR | MIN

Vikings' Jordan Addison: Out for Week 3

Addison (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Houston, Dane Mizutani of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Addison did some work on a side field this week, but he hasn't actually practiced since suffering an ankle sprain Week 1 against the Giants. His absence for a second straight game leaves Jalen Nailor and Brandon Powell as the top wide receivers alongside Justin Jefferson, who has avoided an injury designation after hurting his quadriceps last week. Coach Kevin O'Connell told Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune on Friday that Addison is "in a good place" and has a good chance to return Week 4 against Green Bay.

  • Rome Odunze WR | CHI

Bears' Rome Odunze: Good to go for Week 3

Odunze (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Colts, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.

Odunze upgraded to full practice participation Friday after being limited the previous two days. He played 66 of Chicago's 70 snaps on offense in a Week 2 loss at Houston despite suffering an MCL sprain the week before in a win over Tennessee. Keenan Allen, meanwhile, is out for a second straight game with a heel injury.

  • Keenan Allen WR | LAC

Bears' Keenan Allen: Ruled out for Week 3

Allen (heel) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.

Allen hasn't practiced at all since aggravating his heel injury during a Week 1 win over the Titans. He'll now miss a second straight game, whereas fellow Bears wideout Rome Odunze (knee) avoided an injury designation after upgrading to full practice participation Friday.

  • Jordan Addison WR | MIN

Vikings' Jordan Addison: Remains sidelined Friday

Addison (ankle) wasn't spotted at practice Friday, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports.

Addison has yet to take the practice field since injuring his ankle in Minnesota's regular-season opener, so he presumably will be ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans once the Vikings publish their injury report Friday, though it will be worth checking back for official word on the second-year wide receiver's status. Teammate Justin Jefferson (quadriceps) has been practicing this week, and Jalen Nailor would be in line to maintain an expanded role if Addison is indeed ruled out.

  • Colts' Michael Pittman: Managing injuries ahead of Week 3

Pittman is working through back and calf issues, but coach Shane Steichen thinks that the wideout will be available Sunday against the Bears, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Pittman was held out of Friday's practice, per James Boyd of The Athletic, and the reason for his non-participation now has been clarified. Friday's final injury report will reveal whether Pittman heads into the weekend with a Week 3 injury designation.

  • A.J. Brown WR | PHI

    Eagles' A.J. Brown: Not practicing

Brown (hamstring) isn't practicing Friday, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.

He hasn't participated at all since injuring his hamstring during practice last Friday. Brown missed the loss to the Falcons on Monday and is unlikely to play against the Saints come Sunday.

  • Jalin Hyatt WR | NYG

Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Requested trade during summer

Hyatt requested a trade from the Giants during the summer, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

As Raanan tells it, Hyatt was unhappy with his standing on the depth chart and said during a practice late in the summer that if the team wasn't going to use him, they should trade him. Through two games, Hyatt has ran just 14 pass routes -- seventh-most on the team -- and appears buried just one year after the team used the 73rd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft on the wideout. Coach Brian Daboll has stressed to Hyatt that his time is coming, but he's running as the distant fourth receiver behind Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton and slot man Wan'Dale Robinson. It wouldn't be a shock to see Hyatt supplant Slayton in the near future, but it's clear Hyatt is frustrated at the moment.
