  • Johnny Lumpkin: Loses spot

Lumpkin was cut from the Packers' practice squad Tuesday.

Lumpkin has received multiple opportunities since going undrafted in 2023 out of Louisiana and will now have to find another one. The 26-year-old has routinely found a spot on practice squads and may be able to find another one.

  • Joel Wilson TE | TEN

Joel Wilson: Inked to Giants' practice squad

New York signed Wilson to the practice squad Tuesday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

Wilson takes the spot opened up by the placement of fellow tight end Lawrence Cager (undisclosed) on the practice squad/injured list Tuesday. The Central Michigan product spent much of last season on Green Bay's practice squad.

  • Lawrence Cager TE | WAS

Lawrence Cager: Lands on injured list

The Giants placed Cager (undisclosed) on the practice squad injured list Tuesday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

Cager will need to spend at least the next four games on the practice squad injured list. The veteran tight end suited up for 11 regular-season games with the Giants last year, but he hasn't yet been elevated for a contest this season.

  • Teagan Quitoriano: Joins Chicago's practice squad

The Bears signed Quitoriano to the practice squad Tuesday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.

Quitoriano suited up for 16 combined games with Houston over the last two seasons. Now that he's healthy again after battling a calf injury during the preseason, Quitoriano will link up with Chicago and provide organizational depth at tight end.

  • Matt Sokol TE | BUF

Matt Sokol: Let go by Pittsburgh

The Steelers cut Sokol from the practice squad Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.

Sokol spent training camp with Pittsburgh and resurfaced on the team's practice squad mid-September, but he wasn't elevated Week 3. The veteran tight end will now have to search for a similar depth role elsewhere in the league.

  • Messiah Swinson: Gets cut loose

Swinson was waived by the Panthers on Tuesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Swinson was signed off the Packers' practice squad ahead of Week 1 but was a weekly healthy scratch thereafter. He'll now have to find a new opportunity, possibly on Carolina's practice squad, assuming he clears waivers.

  • Jack Stoll TE | CLE

Eagles' Jack Stoll: Signed to 53-man roster

The Eagles signed Stoll to the 53-man roster off the practice squad on Tuesday.

Stoll was elevated versus the Saints in Week 3 to serve as Philadelphia's third tight end behind Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcaterra. He wasn't targeted while handling 13 offensive snaps in that contest. Stoll now figures to handle a similar role, primarily contributing as a blocker, on the road against Tampa Bay on Sunday.

  • Noah Gray TE | KC

Chiefs' Noah Gray: Snares one pass in Week 3

Gray logged one reception (on two targets) for 13 yards during Sunday's 22-17 victory over the Falcons.

Gray continues to operate in the second-string role at tight end behind Travis Kelce, playing 50 percent of the offensive snaps in Sunday's tilt. However, he only ran 14 routes in the game, which isn't particularly conducive to a sizable fantasy output. Barring Travis Kelce missing time, Gray isn't worth rostering in fantasy formats other than dynasty, where he could hold future value once Kelce calls it quits.

  • Evan Engram TE | DEN

Jaguars' Evan Engram: Status for Week 4 uncertain

Coach Doug Pederson said Tuesday "it'll be close" when asked whether Engram (hamstring) will be ready to retake the field for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Texans, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.

Engram has missed back-to-back games due to a hamstring injury and now faces a short week of rest to try and get healthy in time for Sunday's pivotal road matchup against Houston. The veteran tight end hasn't yet resumed practicing in any capacity since injuring his hamstring during a Week 2 pregame warmup. With Engram unavailable during Monday's 47-10 loss to the Bills, Brenton Strange started at tight end and hauled in two of five targets for 12 yards and a touchdown, the second score of his career.

  • MyCole Pruitt TE | PIT

    Steelers' MyCole Pruitt: Remains out

Pruitt (knee) will not play Sunday against the Colts, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.

Pruitt missed Week 3's win over the Chargers and hasn't practiced since suffering the injury. Fortunately, the Steelers, have enough depth at tight end to cover for Pruitt's absence. He has one catch on two targets for nine yards through two games. It's not clear how much longer the Southern Illinois product will remain sidelined, but his next opportunity to suit up will be Week 5 against the Cowboys.
