Eagles backup tight end Zach Ertz will make his NFL debut on Monday night Week 1 in Washington. He'll have a favorable matchup in his first regular season game. 

Ertz will be facing a team that allowed the second-most Fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends last season. Brent Celek, the starter for the Eagles, combined for eight catches for 81 yards without a score last season in two games against the Redskins. 

Michael Vick may like throwing Ertz's way, but there are far too many unknowns here for us to recommend his usage in Fantasy in the first week of the season.

With starting tight end Heath Miller (knee) sidelined, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday the team will use a "committee" approach at tight end. The Steelers have five tight ends on the roster -- Miller, Matt Spaeth, David Johnson, David Paulson and Michael Palmer.

Though, Spaeth (foot) could join Miller on the sidelines. Tomlin said Tuesday Spaeth is an option to be placed on the injured reserve-designated to return list.

The Colts waived tight end Justice Cunningham, the 254th and final pick in April's draft.

The Seattle SeahawksSeahawks signed eight players to their practice squad: defensive tackles Sealver Siliga and Michael Brooks, tight end Cooper Helfet, linebacker Ty Powell, guards Jared Smith and Ryan Seymour, defensive back DeShawn Shead and wideout Bryan Walters.

The Dolphins officially finalized their 53-man roster Saturday by terminating the contract of linebacker Antwan Applewhite. Miami also placed tackle Jeff Adams and quarterback Aaron Corp on the Reserve/Suspended List by the NFL.

In addition, the Dolphins waived the following 19 players from the roster: guard Chris Barker, center Sam Brenner, wide receiver Chad Bumphis, wide receiver Keenan Davis, defensive tackle A.J. In addition, Seattle waived the following 18 players from the roster: wide receiver Phil Bates, defensive tackle Michael Brooks, defensive tackle Dewayne Cherrington, wide receiver Arceto Clark, tight end Darren Fells, defensive back Winston Guy, wide receiver Chris Harper, tight end Cooper Helfet, defensive tackle Jaye Howard, guard Rishaw Johnson, tight end Sean McGrath, defensive back Ron Parker, linebacker Ty Powell, guard Ryan Seymour, defensive back DeShawn Shead, defensive tackle Sealver Siliga, guard Jared Smith and wide receiver Bryan Walters.

Tight end Tony Moeaki couldn't stay on the field. And because of it, he won't be on the field for the Chiefs, who have cut him, according to the Kansas City Star.

Moeaki, who fractured his shoulder against Pittsburgh last week and missed the 2011 season with a torn ACL, tweeted his departure.

"Well chiefs kingdom, it's been a pleasure," he wrote. "Best fans. Was starting to feel back to form. Bad time for an inj."

Moeaki shined as a rookie in 2010 with 47 catches for 556 yards and three touchdowns. He returned from his injury in 2012 to snag 33 more passes, but was behind Anthony Fasano and Travis Kelce on the depth chart this year.
