  • Kenyon Sadiq TE | NYJ

Jets' Kenyon Sadiq: Back at practice

Sadiq (abdomen) was present for practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

The 2026 first-rounder missed OTAs and minicamp due to hernia surgery, but as expected Sadiq is ready for training camp. As a rookie, Sadiq -- who ran a 4.39-second 40-yard dash at the 2026 NFL Combine -- has a chance to emerge as a key pass-catching option for QB Geno Smith while working in a TE corps that also includes 2025 second-rounder Mason Taylor and Jeremy Ruckert.

  • Cody Hardy TE | NO

Saints' Cody Hardy: Placed on non-football illness list

The Saints placed Hardy (illness) on the active/non-football illness list Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Hardy is an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State. If the tight end cannot get back to his peak physical condition, it is unlikely he will be able to compete with third-round rookie Oscar Delp or Moliki Matavao for the No. 3 tight end spot.

  • Chiefs' John Michael Gyllenborg: Placed on injured reserve

The Chiefs placed Gyllenborg (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.

Gyllenborg sprained his knee in late July and will need to miss some time. The tight end was moved to IR alongside defensive end Ethan Downs (knee), so the Chiefs now have two roster spots available for the start of training camp Wednesday morning.

  • Giants' Thomas Fidone: Activated from active/PUP list

The Giants activated Fidone (foot) from the active/PUP list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Fidone sustained a foot injury in late November of 2025 and underwent a cleanup procedure for the issue in early June. The tight end has recovered from the procedure and is all set to begin practicing with the team again. New acquisition Isaiah Likely is set to take the No. 1 tight end role, with Theo Johnson ready to do the dirty work as the secondary option. Fidone will battle with Chris Manhertz in camp for the opportunity to be included in 13-personnel sets during the 2026 season.

  • Packers' Thomas Yassmin: Signs with Green Bay

The Packers signed Yassmin to a one-year contract Tuesday.

The Australian from the University of Utah joined the NFL through the International Player Pathway program. He spent time with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2024 before joining the Chargers' practice squad in 2025. Yassmin has yet to appear in an NFL game, and advancement up the Packers' depth chart will be hard to come by due to the team's stellar tight end depth between Tucker Kraft (knee), Luke Musgrave (undisclosed) and Josh Whyle.

  • Marlin Klein TE | HOU

Texans' Marlin Klein: Ready for training camp

Klein has recovered from his hamstring strain and is all set for training camp, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Klein suffered a hamstring injury during the Texans' OTAs, but the second-round draft pick is back and ready to compete for a role in the team's tight end corps. Klein's primary competition for the No. 2 tight end spot is Foster Moreau and Brevin Jordan, but Cade Stover also has NFL playing experience that could give him the edge if the rookie does not sufficiently stand out in training camp or the preseason.

  • Brevin Jordan TE | HOU

Texans' Brevin Jordan: Ready for the season

Jordan is past his torn patellar tendon injury and is ready to produce in 2026, Jared Koch of Sports Illustrated reports.

Jordan's run-blocking value and offensive upside make him a likely candidate for the No. 2 tight end spot behind Dalton Schultz. Before the 2021 fifth-round pick tore his patellar tendon, Jordan had accumulated 53 receptions for 532 yards and five touchdowns over 36 career regular-season games.

  • Mitchell Evans TE | CAR

Panthers' Mitchell Evans: Suffers ankle issue

Evans (ankle), pending full evaluation, likely just suffered a rolled ankle this week, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports.

Evans has yet to be fully medically vetted, but it has begun to look like a minor issue for the tight end. If the preliminary evaluation is correct, Evans should be set to return to training camp shortly.

  • Mitchell Evans TE | CAR

Panthers' Mitchell Evans: Carted off field Tuesday

Evans (undisclosed) was carted off the field during Tuesday's practice, Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Evans suffered an apparent injury during 11-on-11 team drills. Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports that trainers are attending to Evans' lower body. The 2025 fifth-rounder suited up for all 17 regular-season games last year, handling a depth role in Carolina's tight end corps.

  • Packers' Luke Musgrave: Moves to PUP list

Musgrave (undisclosed) was placed on the active/PUP list by the Packers on Monday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

The tight end is still dealing with an undisclosed injury that he suffered during OTAs in June. It remains unclear how serious the injury is, so it's possible that Musgrave will be able to return during training camp. He caught 24 passes for 252 yards and no touchdowns in 2025 during the regular season.
