Colts' Tyler Warren: Short TD among six Week 2 grabs
Warren caught six of seven targets for 21 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-30 overtime loss to the Chiefs. He also rushed once for three yards.
Warren opened the scoring with a one-yard touchdown catch, giving him two touchdowns in as many games to begin his sophomore season. The 2025 first-round pick is already halfway to his rookie total of four touchdown catches in 17 games, though Warren also had a rushing TD in 2025. If Alec Pierce (heel) were to miss any additional time after exiting in the first half of Sunday's loss, Warren and Josh Downs would be the top candidates to pick up the slack in the passing game for the run-heavy Colts offense. Warren and the Colts will try to snap a nine-game losing streak dating back to last season when they host the Texans in Week 3.

Colts' Tyler Warren: Three grabs, TD in Week 1 loss
Warren secured three of five targets for 13 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 41-23 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.
The athletic second-year tight end was on the receiving end of Daniel Jones' sole touchdown pass, recording his nine-yard scoring grab early in the fourth quarter. Warren's afternoon was otherwise as non-descript as his final line suggests, but he's a vital part of the Colts' air attack and could have a bigger role in a Week 2 road matchup against the Chiefs next Sunday night.

Colts' Tyler Warren: Off injury report
Warren (groin) was off the injury report Wednesday.
Indianapolis' star tight end looks good to go for the opener after not even being listed on the practice report to start the week. Warren was dealing with a minor groin issue late in camp but the expectation has been that he would be ready to begin the season. The Colts host the Ravens to kick off their season Sunday.

Colts' Tyler Warren: Involved in Tuesday's practice
Warren (adductor) was spotted on the field participating in Tuesday's practice, Nathan Brown of The Indianapolis Star reports.
The Colts won't have to reveal the extent of Warren's practice participation until they release their first injury report of the season Sept. 9, but his presence on the field Tuesday is a good indication that he'll be operating with no restrictions leading up to the Week 1 game against the Ravens. The second-year tight end strained his adductor during an Aug. 19 practice, but the Colts never indicated that the injury was anything that would seriously jeopardize his availability for the start of the regular season.

Colts' Tyler Warren: Remains out with groin issue
Warren (groin) may not practice this week as the team prepares to have him available for the season opener, Jake Arthur of Roundtable Sports reports.
"We're gonna be pretty smart with Tyler [Warren] this week," said coach Shane Steichen on Tuesday. Warren, who suffered a strained abductor last week in joint practice, is being brought along cautiously and may continue to miss practice with the intent of having him ready to go Week 1. Even if Warren is unable to practice this week or play in the preseason finale, there is still time for the promising second-year tight end to be ready to go without missing regular-season games.
