Jashaun Corbin RB | NE
Falcons' Jashaun Corbin: Finds running room Friday
Corbin carried the ball 11 times for 51 yards and caught one of two targets for minus-4 yards in Friday's 31-13 preseason loss to the Cowboys. He added 47 yards on two kickoff returns.
The UFL's rushing leader in 2025 got the first touch out of the backfield in Atlanta's exhibition finale, but Corbin's biggest gain came on the team's first drive of the second half, when he scampered for 19 yards. Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier are locked into the top two spots on the running back depth chart, but the No. 3 role could be wide open with Carlos Washington (hamstring) having missed the entire preseason. Nathan Carter and Elijah Dotson are also still in the mix.

Kareem Hunt RB | KC
Chiefs' Kareem Hunt: Active for preseason finale
Hunt (quadriceps) took three carries for 15 yards and failed to bring in his only target in Friday's 29-27 preseason loss to Chicago.
Hunt was a game-time decision for Friday's contest after dealing with a quad contusion during the practice week. The veteran back was able to suit up and got mixed in with the first-team offense behind starter Isiah Pacheco. The latter is expected to handle lead-back duties to begin the regular season, with Hunt seeing work as a receiver and in goal-line situations.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Bears' D'Andre Swift: Gains 34 yards in preseason debut
Swift rushed seven times for 28 yards with one reception for six yards in Friday's 29-27 preseason win over the Chiefs.
Swift made his 2025 preseason debut Friday after sitting out an additional game against Buffalo last week. The 26-year-old moved the ball well on eight touches as he prepares to lead Chicago's backfield for the second consecutive campaign. Swift generated 1,345 yards from scrimmage and six touchdowns in 17 regular-season starts last year, numbers he could easily reproduce with a clean bill of health in 2025.

Kalel Mullings RB | TEN
Titans' Kalel Mullings: Dealing with ankle issue
Mullings suffered an ankle injury during Friday's 23-13 preseason win over the Vikings, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.comreports.
Mullings got some reps with Cameron Ward, leading the backfield during Tennessee's second offensive possession. He picked up 27 yards on six carries prior to his injury, though he did also cede a goal-line carry to Julius Chestnut. An initial diagnosis suggests that Mullings' ankle injury is minor, but his status will be worth monitoring as a Week 1 matchup against the Broncos nears.
-
Julius Chestnut RB | TEN
Titans' Julius Chestnut: Splits reps with Mullings
Chestnut rushed the ball five times for 28 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 23-13 preseason win over the Vikings.
Chestnut drew the first carry of the game but rotated out for the first half of Tennessee's second drive, giving way to Kalel Mullings (ankle). Notably, Chestnut did get the nod at the goal line to cap a Titans' scoring drive with Cameron Ward under center. There are several questions about the running back depth chart heading into Week 1 of the regular season, as both Tyjae Spears (ankle) and Mullings are currently beat up, meaning Chestnut could have a clear path to the backup role to Tony Pollard.

Zavier Scott WR | MIN
Vikings' Zavier Scott: Suffers ankle injury
Scott suffered an ankle injury during Friday's preseason game against the Titans.
Scott served as the starting running back for the Vikings on Friday, but none of Aaron Jones, Jordan Mason nor Ty Chandler played. He was held in check on his first few carries but ripped off a 23-yard run on the Vikings' second possession to set up a field goal. Scott looked to be wresting the third running back role away from Chandler, though both his usage and this injury cast doubt on his status heading into a Week 1 regular-season matchup against the Bears.

Isiah Pacheco RB | DET
Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Cracks end zone Friday
Pacheco rushed three times for 21 yards and a touchdown without receiving a target in Friday's preseason loss to the Bears.
Pacheco handled the first and last touches of Kansas City's opening drive Friday, the latter of which netted him a two-yard touchdown. It is worth mentioning that veteran backup Kareem Hunt got the first crack at the goal line from three yards out on the previous carry before giving way to Pacheco. That's a scenario that could pop up during the regular season, where Pacheco has scoring opportunities poached by Hunt from in close. The 26-year-old Pacheco is still the preferred option for both his team and fantasy managers when the Chiefs take on the Chargers to open the season on Sept. 5 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Miles Sanders RB | DAL
Cowboys' Miles Sanders: Tending to shoulder injury
Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Sanders didn't play in Friday's 31-13 preseason win against the Falcons due to a shoulder injury, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Sanders missed time early in training camp and the Cowboys' first exhibition due to a bruised knee. He improved enough to suit up last Saturday versus the Ravens en route to seven carries for 15 yards among his 11 offensive snaps. Sanders' injury combined with Jaydon Blue hurting his right ankle Friday leaves Javonte Williams as the sole healthy member of the team's top trio of running backs, and could open the door for Deuce Vaughn or rookie Phil Mafah to begin the season on the 53-man roster.

Saquon Barkley RB | PHI
Eagles' Saquon Barkley: No preseason playing time
Barkley didn't play in Friday's 19-17 preseason win over the Jets.
Barkley didn't see the field in any of Philadelphia's three preseason games, as the Eagles understandably don't want to add any tread to the star running back's tires after he handled a league-high 345 regular-season carries in 2024, plus another 91 in the playoffs. History hasn't been kind to running backs in the season following such a heavy workload, but Barkley's a unique talent at the position. He'll be locked into an every-down role starting with Philadelphia's season opener against the Cowboys on Thursday, Sept. 4, with Will Shipley and AJ Dillon contending for backup duties.

Jaydon Blue RB | DAL
Cowboys' Jaydon Blue: Not returning Friday
Blue won't return to Friday's preseason game versus the Falcons due to a right ankle injury, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Blue hauled in a screen pass from Will Grier early in the fourth quarter and stayed down after being tackled, before making his way to the sideline under his own power and heading to the blue medical tent to be evaluated. Not longer afterward, the rookie fifth-rounder was ruled out, finishing his night with 25 rushing yards and a TD on nine carries and his lone reception wiped out by a penalty. Blue has been competing for a role in a Cowboys backfield that also includes Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders, both of whom were DNPs on Friday.
