Gaskins carried the ball for six yards on five carries in Sunday's loss to St. Louis. He added two catches on three targets for 17 yards.

Gaskins was forced into action following injuries to Carlos Hyde, Reggie Bush and Mike Davis. Though he failed to impress, he should see a few more opportunities in the coming weeks as Hyde deals with a stress fracture in his foot and the team deals with the potential season-long loss of Bush, who the 49ers fear tore his ACL.

Oliver rushed four times for 18 yards and caught both of his targets for 16 receiving yards Sunday against the Ravens.

Melvin Gordon dominated the backfield, though he only turned his 18 carries into 54 rushing yards. Danny Woodhead also didn't do much, rushing thrice for nine yards and catching two passes for 36 receiving yards. As long as Gordon and Woodhead are healthy, Oliver's fantasy prospects appear limited.

Gordon got the start Sunday after losing significant playing time due to some fumbling issues, but he was unable to break out in any significant way. On the plus side, the other running backs didn't do much either, as Brandon Oliver rushed four times for 18 yards and caught two passes for 16 receiving yards, while Danny Woodhead had three carries for nine yards and caught two passes for 36 receiving yards. Gordon appears to be getting a pretty long leash to show what he can do, and he'll get a decent matchup in Week 9 against a Bears team that is allowing the eighth-most rushing yards per game this season, though they've only given up two rushing touchdowns.

Sims gained 22 yards on six carries and secured three-of-four targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 23-20 overtime victory over the Falcons.

Sims put together his customary complementary performance in support of lead tailback Doug Martin, and helped out in the passing game on a day where Tampa was down two receivers. The second-year pro could be in line for some extra passing-down work in what could be a high-scoring Week 9 showdown with the Giants.

Vereen gained just three yards on two carries, but turned nine targets into eight receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown Sunday in New Orleans.

The Giants use Vereen primarily as a receiver out of the backfield, so it wasn't surprising to see him reel in one of Eli Manning's six touchdowns in this one. The former Patriot has cemented his role in New York's offense, and is especially valuable in PPR formats. The more the Giants throw, the better for Vereen owners.

Martin totaled 71 yardsd on 23 carries and secured his lone target for seven yards in Sunday's 23-20 overtime victory over the Falcons.

Like the rest of the Bucs offense, Martin wasn't flashy, but certainly did enough to move the chains when necessary and get the job done. The fourth-year pro's workmanlike performance included some tough sledding against the Falcons' front seven, who outside of his game-high run of 18 yards averaged only 2.4 yards per rush on 22 totes. Martin will take aim at the Giants' highly generous defense in Week 9.

Johnson rumbled a season-high 30 times for 109 yards during Sunday's win in Cleveland.

Johnson has notched at least 100 yards rushing in four of the last six games, but among those performances, this was the first without a carry greater than 20 yards. Instead, he took advantage of the sheer volume afforded him, helping the Cardinals sustain an edge in time of possession after falling behind 20-7 with 4:56 remaining in the first half. On pace for over 1,300 yards, Johnson is certainly staking a claim as the surprise of the 2015 campaign, while snuffing out the value of both Andre Ellington and David Johnson.

Rawls (calf) is listed as active Sunday at Dallas, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Rawls has maintained a 5.6 YPC average in the first seven games of his NFL career, but he'll merely spell Marshawn Lynch when a breather is needed Sunday.

Davis rushed four times for nine yards during Sunday's 45-10 win over the Lions in London.

Charcandrick West continues to dominate the touches for the Chiefs, as he rushed 20 times for 97 yards and a touchdown while adding 25 receiving yards on four receptions. Davis' fantasy value is very limited as long as West is healthy.

Abdullah rushed for three yards on one carry in Sunday's loss to Kansas City. He was targeted twice in the passing game, but failed to reel in a catch.

After averaging five yards per carry for just the second time this year in Week 7, Abdullah saw is smallest workload of the season on Sunday. One can speculate that he found himself in the dog house after stopping on a route early in the second quarter, leading to an interception. Abdullah did not touch the ball on offense for the remainder of the game. The Lions are likely to spend their Week 9 bye trying to find answers on offense and such mental errors, combined with his three fumbles on the season, may make it difficult for Abdullah to maintain a prominent role in the offense despite his natural talents.
