Ka'Deem Carey RB | CHI
Bears' Ka'Deem Carey: Sees season-high workload
Carey carried the ball seven times for 28 yards in Monday's win over the Chargers.
They seven totes were the first offensive touches of the season for Carey, who had been inactive for four of the Bears' previous seven games heading into Monday. However, injuries to Matt Forte and Jacquizz Rodgers moved Carey up to second on the depth chart, and he turned in a good showing behind starter Jeremy Langford. However, unless Langford suffers an injury of his own, Carey isn't likely to notice much larger of a workload in the weeks to come.

Latavius Murray RB | BUF
Raiders' Latavius Murray: Misses practice Wednesday
Murray (concussion) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Scott Bair of CSN California reports.
It's unclear exactly where Murray is in the NFL's concussion protocol at this stage, so his status will be worth tracking closely in advance of Sunday's game against the Vikings. Taiwan Jones, who is listed as the Raiders' No. 2 RB, had as many fumbles (two) as carries in Week 9, so if Murray is out or limited this weekend, the team could lean more heavily on the likes of fullbacks Marcel Reece and Jamize Olawale, with Roy Helu an option to rejoin the team's backfield mix Sunday after being inactive this past weekend.

Charles Sims RB | TB
Buccaneers' Charles Sims: Tallies 32 snaps in Week 9 loss
Sims was in on 32 offensive plays in the Bucs' Week 9 loss to the Giants, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Sims provided a spark for the Bucs in his extended playing time with a dynamic 59-yard sprint in the fourth quarter that made up for an earlier fumble. The Bucs backup tailback participated on his most snaps since Week 4, but many of the factors that led to his increased usage--such as Tampa playing catch-up the majority of the game--appear to have been consequential. Sims will likely resume his more typical complementary role in the Bucs' Week 10 home tilt versus Dallas.
-
Doug Martin RB | LV
Buccaneers' Doug Martin: Plays 31 snaps in Week 9 loss
Martin was in on 31 snaps in the Bucs' Week 9 loss to the Giants, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Bucs tailback's playing time decreased after a second-quarter fumble, and due to Tampa having to play from behind for the entire second half. After comfortably outpacing backfield mate Charles Sims in snaps over the last several weeks, Martin was in on one less play than Sims verus the Giants. Martin and the Bucs running game will look to get back on track in a Week 10 matchup versus the Matt Cassel-led Cowboys.

Joseph Randle RB | DAL
Joseph Randle: Issued four-game suspension
Randle has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.
Randle has not joined a team since being released by the Cowboys last week, but he will be forced to sit out four games if and when he does sign a new contract. Given the personal issues he is dealing with and the pending suspension, Randle will not be making a fantasy impact anytime soon.

Jonathan Grimes RB | JAC
Texans' Jonathan Grimes: Elevated to No. 2 running back
Grimes is listed as the No. 2 running back on the Texans' depth chart coming out of Houston's Week 9 bye.
Alfred Blue remains the starting running back for the Texans, but Grimes and Chris Polk traded places during the bye week. It's not immediately clear how the switch will affect Grimes' workload, but it seems likely he will be more involved in Week 10 after tallying just two total touches over the last three games.

Terrance West RB | BAL
Terrance West: Joins Ravens' practice squad
West was added to the Ravens' practice squad Tuesday, NFL.com reports.
West will head to Baltimore after being released by the Titans last week. He will provide some depth at the running back position in case of an injury to one of the three running backs currently on the roster -- Justin Forsett, Buck Allen, and Raheem Mostert -- goes down with an injury.
-
Jonas Gray RB | JAC
Jonas Gray: Released Tuesday morning
Gray was released by the Dolphins on Tuesday, the Miami Herald reports.
Rookie running back Jay Ajayi gained 41 yards on five carries in Sunday's 33-17 loss to the Bills, likely establishing himself as Lamar Miller's top backup in the process. Gray thus became expendable, but he could latch on with another team by the end of the week. His former squad, the Patriots, just lost Dion Lewis (knee) for the rest of the season.
-
Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Quiet against Bears
Gordon rushed 11 times for 31 yards and caught three passes (on three targets) for 25 yards in Monday night's loss to the Bears.
Gordon once again struggled to find room to run behind the Chargers' banged-up offensive line, giving him under 50 rushing yards in five of his last six games. Additionally, Gordon is yet to score his first NFL touchdown, a frustrating development nine games into his rookie campaign. While he at least caught a trio of passes Monday, Gordon's receiving skills are still far behind teammate Danny Woodhead's, making it important for Gordon to muster more from his double-digit carries moving forward.

Latavius Murray RB | BUF
Raiders' Latavius Murray: Going through concussion protocol
Murray is going through the concussion protocol, Scott Bair of CSN California reports.
Murray was removed from the second half of Sunday's eventual loss at Pittsburgh in order to undergo evaluation for a potential head injury. With the concussion protocol set to dominate his week, his progress, or lack thereof, will be of particular interest to his owners. If he's unable to go Sunday against the Vikings, Taiwan Jones and Roy Helu are next in line for touches out of the Raiders' backfield.
