  • Cardinals' Andre Ellington: Sustains foot injury

Ellington is questionable to return to Sunday's game at San Francisco due to a left foot injury, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Both Ellington and Chris Johnson (left knee, questionable) suffered injuries in the third quarter, which places rookie David Johnson firmly at the top of the depth chart. Because head coach Bruce Arians prefers to use every option at his disposal, though, fellow running back Stepfan Taylor could also receive a few touches down the stretch.

  • Chris Johnson RB | ARI

Cardinals' Chris Johnson: Suffers knee injury

Johnson is questionable to return to Sunday's contest in San Francisco due to a left knee injury, Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports.

Two dominoes fell at the top of the Cardinals' running back depth chart, namely Johnson and Andre Ellington (left foot, questionable), in the third quarter. The departures leave rookie David Johnson to handle the bulk of the carries out of the backfield, though Stepfan Taylor could also factor into RB touches.

  • Raiders' Latavius Murray: Stifled by Titans defense

Murray rushed 22 times for 59 yards and caught 1-of-3 targets for 23 yards in Sunday's win over the Titans.

Murray was stifled by Tennessee's impressive run defense, averaging just 2.7 yards per carry. The formerly explosive running back has shown some signs of slowing down in recent weeks, as he hasn't managed to top 4.0 yards per carry in any of the last three weeks after averaging 4.8 over the season's first eight games. Murray has topped two receptions just once in the past six games, so don't expect him to contribute much unless he gets his ground game back on track.

  • Shane Vereen RB | NO

Giants' Shane Vereen: Catches four passes against Washington

Vereen caught four passes off of five targets for 21 yards in Sunday's loss to Washington. He added two carries for 15 yards.

Vereen has now caught at least four passes in three of the Giants' past four games. He has failed to find the end zone for the second consectuive game, however, after scoring three touchdowns during a five-game stretch. The Giants' deep stable of backs makes it difficult for any member to be a legitimate fantasy contributor. Vereen's 40 receptions on the season likely makes him the most reliable of the bunch, particuarly in PPR leagues.

  • Knile Davis RB | PIT

Chiefs' Knile Davis: One touch in Sunday's win

Davis rushed once for one yard Sunday against the Bills.

Davis was active for the game because Charcandrick West was unable to play due to his hamstring injury, but Spencer Ware dominated the backfield touches, rushing 19 times for 114 yards and a touchdown and catching three passes. As long as Ware and/or West are healthy, it doesn't look like Davis will get nearly enough touches to make him a viable fantasy option.

  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Picks up 60 rushing yards

Gordon rushed 14 times for 60 yards and caught all five of his targets for 20 more yards in Sunday's 35-31 win over the Jaguars.

Gordon has received between 12 and 16 carries in seven of San Diego's first 11 contests, so it was hardly surprising to see his workload fall right in the middle of that range in this game. The 2015 first-rounder was highly touted coming out of Wisconsin, making it rather bizarre that he still hasn't found the end zone this season despite receiving consistent playing time.

  • Thomas Rawls RB | JAC

Seahawks' Thomas Rawls: Suits up Sunday

Rawls (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Steelers.

With Marshawn Lynch out for several weeks following sports hernia surgery, Rawls -- who is coming off a 209-yard rushing effort in Week 11 -- is in line to head the Seahawks' backfield in the meantime, with veteran Fred Jackson on hand to serve in a complementary role.

  • Chris Johnson RB | ARI

    Cardinals' Chris Johnson: Active Sunday

Johnson (knee) is listed as active Sunday at San Francisco, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Since the Cardinals' Week 9 bye, Johnson has managed just 121 rushing yards at a 2.8 YPC clip across two games. However, previous success against the 49ers (110 yards and two touchdowns in Week 3) has contributed to their standing as second-most yielding under standard scoring conditions in the current campaign.

  • Roy Helu RB | LV

Raiders' Roy Helu: Active for Sunday's game

Helu will be active for Sunday's game against the Titans.

With Taiwan Jones (knee) ruled out Sunday, Helu will be available for the Raiders after not dressing in the team's previous three games. Don't expect Helu to see many touches behind starting running back Latavius Murray or fullback Marcel Reece, who has been effective as both a ball carrier and pass catcher.
