  • Cowboys' Darren McFadden: Inactive Monday

McFadden (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Monday at Arizona, David Helman of the Cowboys' official site reports.

For the third time in as many games to begin the season, Alfred Morris and not McFadden will serve as the primary backup to Ezekiel Elliott. McFadden's best chance at active status is likely a change in the legal proceedings surrounding Elliott's pending suspension, though an injury to Elliott or Morris would also do the trick.

  • Raiders' Cordarrelle Patterson: Accounts for 12 total yards

Patterson caught one pass on two targets for seven yards to go along with two carries for five yards during Sunday's 27-10 loss to the Redskins.

Patterson remains limited in the Raiders' passing game as fellow receivers Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree and Seth Roberts continue to see a heavier concentration of targets from quarterback Derek Carr. One of Patterson's two runs in Week 3 went for eight yards, but the other was shut down immediately as the Redskins tackled him behind the line of scrimmage for a loss of three. Oakland has another tough road matchup against the Broncos in Week 4, while Patterson's fantasy value will be limited based on his lack of touches.

  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Diagnosed with minor bone bruise

Gordon is dealing with a minor bone bruise in his knee, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

A severe bone bruise can necessitate a multi-game absence, but it sounds as if Gordon's isn't nearly that serious. He was a late addition to the injury report last week and ended up missing some time in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Chiefs, finishing with 17 carries for 79 yards and a touchdown while logging 45 percent of the offensive snaps. Though his rushing production was solid, his playing time did mark a significant drop-off from his snap shares in Week 1 (76 percent) and Week 2 (83 percent). Should Gordon end up missing any time -- which doesn't appear likely at this juncture -- Branden Oliver would take over the lead role in the backfield. The Chargers have a home game against the Eagles in Week 4.

  • Matt Jones RB | WAS

Colts' Matt Jones: Has first carry for Colts

Jones had one carry for three yards while playing five snaps on offense in Sunday's 31-28 win over Cleveland.

Jones was added to the active roster from the practice squad just before the game with Marlon Mack out with a shoulder injury. Jones may stay on the roster as long as Mack remains out but could be released once he's back. He's not likely to have a large role barring more injuries.

  • Zach Zenner RB | NO

Lions' Zach Zenner: Logs three carries in Week 3

Zenner rushed three times for five yards in Sunday's 30-26 loss to the Falcons.

Operating as the No. 3 runner in the absence of Dwayne Washington (quadriceps), Zenner didn't do anything to suggest he might stick in that role upon Washington's return. His only fantasy potential rests in the random event he replaces Ameer Abdullah in goal-line situations and proceeds to vulture a touchdown or two. Since that didn't happen Sunday, he had almost zero utility. Because of this limiting situation, Zenner remains firmly off the fantasy radar in anything but the deepest of leagues.

  • Vikings' Jerick McKinnon: Just four touches in Sunday's win

McKinnon had two carries for five yards and lost a yard on two receptions in Sunday's 34-17 win over Tampa Bay.

McKinnon continues to play more snaps (14) than Latavius Murray, but neither backup is getting significant touches behind starter Dalvin Cook.

  • Dolphins' Damien Williams: Three touches in Week 3

Williams rushed two times for five yards and made one catch for six yards in Sunday's 20-6 loss to the Jets.

Williams played just 10 snaps to fellow reserve running back Kenyon Drake's 20, but he still out-touched Drake by a single carry. Regardless, it doesn't look like either running back is going to play a sizable role this season, barring an injury to starting tailback Jay Ajayi.

  • Rob Kelley RB | NO

Redskins' Rob Kelley: Still day-to-day after absence

Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Monday that Kelley (ribs) remains day-to-day and likely will be limited when the team begins preparation for Week 4 against the Chiefs.

Kelley was a limited practice participant all last week, but the Redskins decided he was still in too much pain to play in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Raiders. The outlook could change ahead of a difficult Week 4 matchup, as Samaje Perine gained only 49 yards on 19 carries prior to exiting Sunday's victory with a bruised hand. Kelley also figures to benefit from having an extra week of rest.

  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: One carry, one catch in Week 3

Drake rushed one time for no gain and caught one pass for two yards in Sunday's 20-6 loss to the Jets.

While Drake did participate in 20 offensive plays, he was hardly used, and the running back also did not see any touches in the Dolphins' return game. He's not expected to play much of a role for Miami moving forward, with Jay Ajayi serving as a workhorse back and Jakeem Grant being the primary return man.

  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Should be fine for Week 4

Titans coach Mike Mularkey expects Henry (thigh) to be ready for Week 4 in Houston, Jason Wolf of The Tennessean reports.

Henry played with a bruised thigh in Sunday's 33-27 win over Seattle, taking 13 carries for 54 yards and adding one catch for 10 yards. He was out-snapped 48 to 30 by DeMarco Murray, who had 14 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown. While Henry's thigh doesn't seem like a major concern, Murray's ability to rapidly overcome his own hamstring injury could limit the Heisman winner to a complementary role in the coming weeks.
