Brandon Thomas: Waived/injured by Jaguars
The Jaguars have reached an injury settlement with Thomas (knee) and waived him Saturday, per the NFL Media site.
Thomas reverted to injured reserve initially, but it appears the club has decided to let the lineman walk instead after he landed on the PUP list to open camp. He will now be free to sign with another club, assuming his knee holds up through a physical.

Rob Kelley RB | NO
Redskins' Rob Kelley: Down to 221 pounds
Kelley is down to 221 pounds and has been taking reps with the first-team offense, Sam Fortier and Kimberley Martin of The Washington Post report.
Perhaps sensing that his power-based skill set had become redundant with Derrius Guice and Samaje Perine on the roster, Kelley dropped some weight for a second straight offseason. While he'll still have a hard time beating out Guice and Perine for carries, the third-year pro may find that a slimmer frame helps with pass-catching and special teams. Redskins coach Jay Gruden already mentioned that Kelley is off to a strong start at training camp, bouncing back from a 2017 campaign plagued by ankle and knee injuries.

Matt Jones RB | WAS
Eagles' Matt Jones: Missing practice with leg injury
Jones is missing practice with a lower body injury, Les Bowen of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
The exact nature of Jones' injury isn't clear, and thus it's hard to say when he might be back on the field. Any sort of extended absence isn't good for his chances of making the final roster.
-
Chris Warren RB | LV
Raiders' Chris Warren: Returns to practice
Warren (undisclosed) returned to practice Friday, Matt Schneiderman of the Mercury News reports.
Warren missed a few days of practice with an undisclosed injury, but the running back now seems ready to get back into the thick of things. The undrafted rookie seems to have an uphill climb to a roster spot in Oakland.
-
Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Packers' Aaron Jones: Still not practicing
Jones (hamstring, suspension) isn't practicing Friday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Jones expected to return by Thursday but will instead miss a full week of practice. Already facing a two-game suspension to begin the season, Jones needs to get on the practice field to make his case for a role in the Green Bay backfield upon returning in Week 3. His absence has allowed Jamaal Williams and Ty Montgomery to dominate first-team reps in training camp, though Jones still has time to make some noise during the preseason.

Mike Gillislee RB | NE
Patriots' Mike Gillislee: Sheds non-contact jersey
Gillislee (undisclosed) ditched his red (no contact) jersey at practice Friday, NESN.com reports.
Per the report, Gillislee appeared to be a full practice participant Friday, which paves the way for him to make a case for a roster spot. With Sony Michel, Rex Burkhead and James White viewed as locks to make the team, Gillislee is competing with Jeremy Hill, Brandon Bolden and undrafted free agent Ralph Webb for depth chart slotting in the Patriots' backfield.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Hoping for preseason appearance
Cook (knee) hopes to play in the preseason but isn't sure if the Vikings will let him, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Now 10 months removed from tearing the ACL in his left knee, Cook has been a full participant early in training camp, with his workload including full-team contact drills. He's clearly on the right track for Week 1, and Vikings coach Mike Zimmer confirmed Cook will play at some point during the preseason, per Krammer.
-
Gus Edwards RB | LAC
Ravens' Gus Edwards: Starts HOF Game
Edwards gained 35 yards on 10 carries and 23 yards on one reception in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Bears.
With Alex Collins, Javorius Allen and Kenneth Dixon (hamstring) all held out, Edwards got the start and most of the first-half work, while fellow undrafted rookies De'Lance Turner and Mark Thompson combined for just 27 yards on 11 touches. Edwards seems to have the early lead in a battle for the No. 4 spot on the depth chart, but there's no guarantee any of the three rookies make the 53-man roster.
-
Mike Gillislee RB | NE
Patriots' Mike Gillislee: Returns to practice
Gillislee (undisclosed) returned to practice Thursday, the Boston Herald reports.
Gillislee, who had missed three practices, sported a red non-contact jersey, but he hopes to be cleared for full contact by Friday. The 27-year-old is currently fighting for a roster spot, while competing against Brandon Bolden, Jeremy Hill and undrafted free agent Ralph Webb behind roster locks Sony Michel, Rex Burkhead and James White.

Jaguars' Brandon Thomas: Reverts to IR
Thomas (knee) cleared waivers and reverted to injured reserve, per the league's official transaction log.
Thomas started training camp on the PUP list before being waived Tuesday. The offensive lineman is now likely stuck on IR through the end of the league year, barring an injury settlement.
