  • Kerwynn Williams: Parts ways with Tampa Bay

Williams was released by the Buccaneers on Monday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

After spending approximately one week on Tampa Bay's roster, Williams is free to search for a depth role elsewhere in the league. The 27-year-old did not play for an NFL team during the 2018 season and spent the previous four years in a depth role with the Cardinals.

  • Keith Ford RB | IND

Keith Ford: Let go by Bills

Ford was cut by the Bills on Monday.

Ford appeared in two games for Buffalo last season, including as the starting back for the Bills' Week 16 loss to New England -- the Texas A&M product was the team's leading rusher with seven carries for 33 yards. That would be Ford's last game in a Bills uniform, as he was a healthy scratch for Week 17. With Buffalo adding Frank Gore and T.J. Yeldon in free agency, there just wasn't any room for Ford on the roster. The Bills also released Chris Ivory in late March.

  • Bengals' Rodney Anderson: No participation in minicamp

Anderson (knee) did not practice during the Bengals' rookie minicamp this week, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Anderson, who was the Bengals' sixth-round pick in this year's draft, is still working his way back from a torn ACL he suffered last September. The expectation has been that the tailback will be ready for Week 1, but it remains unclear exactly where he is in the recovery process.

  • Mark Walton RB | MIA

Dolphins' Mark Walton: Signing with Dolphins

Walton signed a contract with the Dolphins on Sunday.

Walton was waived by Cincinnati on April 6 after being arrested a few days earlier for the third time this year -- including felony charges of carrying a concealed weapon, marijuana possession and reckless driving all stemming from an incident near Miami on March 12. The Miami product will join a backfield populated by Kenyan Drake, Kalen Ballage, Myles Gaskin and Kenneth Farrow. Walton saw an extremely limited role with the Bengals last season, logging just 75 scrimmage yards off 19 touches over 14 games.

  • Brandon Wilds RB | JAC

    Brandon Wilds: Cut by Cardinals

Wilds was let go by the Cardinals on Friday.

Wilds signed a reserve/future contract with the Cardinals after spending a few months on the team's practice squad. He has been released in order to create roster space for the signing of undrafted free agents.

  • Jordan Ellis RB | CIN

Bengals' Jordan Ellis: Signs with Cincy

Ellis signed a contract with the Bengals on Friday.

Ellis is coming off a 2018 season at Virginia where he rushed for 1,026 yards and 10 touchdowns in 13 games. He'll be one of three running backs to join the Bengals backfield as part of this rookie class.

  • Robert Martin: Waived by Giants

Martin was waived by the Giants on Thursday, Matt Lombardo of NJ Advance Media reports.

Martin initially seemed to have made the Giants' 53-man roster before the 2018 season, but he was ultimately waived before Week 1 and then spent the entire year on the team's practice squad. After re-upping on a reserve/future contract this winter, he's now being let go a day after New York signed veteran running back Rod Smith. That the Giants let him go over an undrafted free agent in Jon Hilliman might speak more to what the organization thinks of Hilliman than anything against Martin.

  • Matt Dayes RB | NO

    Matt Dayes: Cut by 49ers

Dayes was waived by the 49ers on Monday.

Dayes did not log a single carry in San Francisco last season but played 94 snaps on special teams. The 2017 seventh-round pick now parts ways with the 49ers to make room on the roster for offensive lineman Willie Beavers.

  • Buccaneers' Kerwynn Williams: Signs with Tampa Bay

Williams signed with the Buccaneers on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Williams was released by the Lions on Thursday after signing a reserve/future contract with the team, but he's now on his way to Florida with Tampa Bay. The move is a reunion of sorts between him, head coach Bruce Arians and offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, who were all together in Arizona.

  • Buccaneers' Dare Ogunbowale: Proving valuable

Ogunbowale was specifically named by special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong as one of two players that have stood out on special teams, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

The Bucs didn't add a running back in the draft, instead appearing content with Peyton Barber and last year's second-round pick, Ronald Jones II, atop the depth chart. It's highly unlikely they carry five running backs going into the regular season, but Ogunbowale could have a leg up on Shaun Wilson and the 30-year-old Andre Ellington for what might be only one or two roster spots if he continues to prove valuable on special teams.
