Robert Martin RB | NE
Robert Martin: Waived by Giants
Martin was waived by the Giants on Thursday, Matt Lombardo of NJ Advance Media reports.
Martin initially seemed to have made the Giants' 53-man roster before the 2018 season, but he was ultimately waived before Week 1 and then spent the entire year on the team's practice squad. After re-upping on a reserve/future contract this winter, he's now being let go a day after New York signed veteran running back Rod Smith. That the Giants let him go over an undrafted free agent in Jon Hilliman might speak more to what the organization thinks of Hilliman than anything against Martin.

Matt Dayes RB | NO
Matt Dayes: Cut by 49ers
Dayes was waived by the 49ers on Monday.
Dayes did not log a single carry in San Francisco last season but played 94 snaps on special teams. The 2017 seventh-round pick now parts ways with the 49ers to make room on the roster for offensive lineman Willie Beavers.

Kerwynn Williams RB | KC
Buccaneers' Kerwynn Williams: Signs with Tampa Bay
Williams signed with the Buccaneers on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Williams was released by the Lions on Thursday after signing a reserve/future contract with the team, but he's now on his way to Florida with Tampa Bay. The move is a reunion of sorts between him, head coach Bruce Arians and offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, who were all together in Arizona.

Dare Ogunbowale RB | LV
Buccaneers' Dare Ogunbowale: Proving valuable
Ogunbowale was specifically named by special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong as one of two players that have stood out on special teams, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
The Bucs didn't add a running back in the draft, instead appearing content with Peyton Barber and last year's second-round pick, Ronald Jones II, atop the depth chart. It's highly unlikely they carry five running backs going into the regular season, but Ogunbowale could have a leg up on Shaun Wilson and the 30-year-old Andre Ellington for what might be only one or two roster spots if he continues to prove valuable on special teams.

Kerwynn Williams RB | KC
Kerwynn Williams: Let go by Detroit
Williams was released by the Lions on Thursday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Williams didn't appear in a game for any team last season and then latched on with Detroit this spring on a reserve/future contract. It seems last week's addition of Maryland's Ty Johnson in the sixth round might have made him expendable. Williams will now try to find a roster spot elsewhere as teams fill out their 90-man rosters ahead of training camp.

Doug Martin RB | LV
Raiders' Doug Martin: Headed back to Oakland
Martin came to terms Wednesday on a contract with the Raiders, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Having failed to draw significant interest on the open market after the Raiders let him walk in free agency this offseason, Martin is now back in the mix with an Oakland team that lost veteran Isaiah Crowell to a torn Achilles during a recent team workout. Martin's re-signing comes just weeks after Marshawn Lynch announced his retirement, leaving first-round rookie Josh Jacobs as the clear favorite to open the 2019 campaign in the lead role. While it's unlikely the Raiders view Martin as a direct replacement for Crowell, the 30-year-old should still have every chance to compete with DeAndre Washington and Chris Warren for backup work behind Jacobs and receiving ace Jalen Richard.

Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Locked in after Crowell injury
Jacobs is facing less competition for carries after teammate Isaiah Crowell suffered a torn Achilles during a workout Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Already a strong favorite to handle the lead role in Oakland's backfield, the 24th overall draft pick is now looking at minimal threats on early downs. The Raiders have Jalen Richard on hand for passing-down work and likely will add another veteran to replace Crowell, but the fallback option won't necessarily pose a real threat to Jacobs. While splitting carries at Alabama last season with Damien Harris and Najee Harris, Jacobs scored 14 touchdowns on 140 touches (120 carries, 20 catches) last season. Oddly enough, the transition from college to the NFL leaves Jacobs with weaker competition for both snaps and touches.

Godwin Igwebuike RB | PIT
Eagles' Godwin Igwebuike: Picked up by Eagles
The Eagles claimed Igwebuike off waivers from the 49ers on Tuesday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Igwebuike was an undrafted rookie in 2018 and played six games between the Buccaneers and 49ers, playing strictly on special teams. The Eagles already have their starters at safety, so Igwebuike will look to carve out a place on special teams in Philly as well.

Mike Boone RB | MIA
Vikings' Mike Boone: Could fall on depth chart
Boone will face extra competition for Minnesota's backup running back role from 2019 third-round draft pick Alexander Mattison.
Boone looked set to compete with Roc Thomas and Ameer Abdullah for the backup role to Dalvin Cook. However, the addition of Mattison means Boone could be fighting for a roster spot this summer as the Vikings may keep only three running backs on the roster.

Godwin Igwebuike RB | PIT
Godwin Igwebuike: Axed by San Fran
Igwebuike was waived by the 49ers on Monday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Igwebuike played 64 special teams snaps between the 49ers and Buccaneers in 2018 and recorded two total tackles. The second-year safety now parts ways with the 49ers with a new crop of undrafted players set to join the roster.
