  • Derrick Henry RB | BAL

Titans' Derrick Henry: Still sitting out practice

Henry (calf) remained sidelined at practice Monday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

Henry kicked off training camp by straining his calf, which was accompanied by a recovery timetable of about two weeks. The Titans' first preseason game takes place Thursday, so the running back seems poised to stay of the calf until the team reconvenes this weekend. No matter how long he remains off the practice field, there's little reason to worry about his availability for the regular season with Week 1 a little more than a month in the future.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Colts' D'Onta Foreman: Lands in Indianapolis

Foreman was claimed off waivers by the Colts on Monday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

It didn't take long for Foreman to find a new team after being waived by the Texans on Sunday. The 2017 third-round pick lands in Indianapolis following the placement of Spencer Ware on the reserve/PUP list and projects to compete for the backup role behind starter Marlon Mack. Foreman's first two seasons were significantly hampered by an Achilles injury, from which he now seems to have fully recovered. Houston cited issues with Foreman's work habits as the reason for waiving him, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, so it may be worth monitoring how the third-year pro acclimates to the Colts' running back room.

  • Boston Scott RB | PIT

Eagles' Boston Scott: Managing ankle injury

Scott is considered day-to-day with an ankle injury, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports.

Scott saw his chances at making the 53-man roster take a dive after the Eagles re-signed Darren Sproles in late July, and a significant absence during training camp would further weaken those odds. The 24-year-old appears to have avoided that situation, but he may still be questionable for Thursday's preseason opener against the Titans.

  • Chase Edmonds RB | WAS

Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Increasing profile in practice

Edmonds has worked with the first-team offense during the first 10 days of training camp, Scott Bordow of The Athletic reports.

Edmonds wasn't put in a position to succeed as a rookie, working behind David Johnson in an inert offensive scheme. The results were underwhelming (five touches per game) but encouraging (87 percent catch rate) at the same time. During his first full offseason as a pro, the 2018 fourth-round pick has operated in two-back sets alongside Johnson and also lined up as the sole RB when Johnson moved to outside receiver. There's no telling if Edmonds will experience an uptick in his offensive snap share (21 percent) from a season ago, but it's encouraging to say the least that coach Kliff Kingsbury is seeking out ways to get the all-time FCS touchdown leader on the field more often.

  • Mark Walton RB | MIA

Dolphins' Mark Walton: Serving as No. 3 RB

Walton is the front-runner to be the Dolphins' third-string running back, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Walton signed with the Dolphins in May after being waived by the Bengals in the wake of multiple arrests, and he appears to be on track to secure a roster spot. Kenyan Drake and Kalen Ballage are the clear top two backfield options in Miami, which likely leaves a limited role for Walton, assuming he maintains his current standing on the depth chart.

  • Bengals' Rodney Anderson: Still not practicing

Anderson (knee) hasn't yet practiced, but he also hasn't yet been placed on the PUP list, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reports.

Hobson speculates that Anderson won't practice at all during training camp, so as to preserve the Bengals' option of putting him on the PUP list to begin the season. That would allow them to keep four backs in total without using up an extra active roster slot.

  • Bengals' Trayveon Williams: Third-string back

Williams has been the Bengals' No. 3 running back in training camp and so far has looked pretty good, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reports.

Meanwhile Rodney Anderson, who the Bengals also drafted this year, hasn't yet practiced as he's recovering from a torn ACL. The current speculation is that Anderson will likely begin the year on the PUP list, allowing the Bengals a way to keep both Williams and Anderson without using up an extra roster slot on a fourth running back.

  • Jets' Godwin Igwebuike: Joins New York

Igwebuike was claimed off waivers by the Jets on Sunday.

Igwebuike was waived by the Eagles on Friday and quickly found a new home with New York. He figures to compete for a depth role with his new squad.

  • Roc Thomas RB | JAC

Jaguars' Roc Thomas: Heading to Jacksonville

Thomas (suspension) is expected to sign a contract with the Jaguars on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Thomas was recently let go by Minnesota, after he was suspended three games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He'll head to Jacksonville where he faces plenty of competition for snaps behind lead man Leonard Fournette. Considering his three-game suspension, Thomas shouldn't be considered a lock to make the roster. In five games with the Vikings as a rookie last season, Thomas logged eight carries for 30 yards in addition to 59 snaps on special teams.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

D'Onta Foreman: Let go by Texans

The Texans placed Foreman on waivers Sunday, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Foreman's release comes as a bit of a surprise after he was reportedly a standout performer during OTAs and minicamp and seemingly impressed coaches with his conditioning and explosiveness. The Texans didn't bring in another running back through the 2019 NFL Draft or free agency this offseason, which seemingly spoke to their confidence in Foreman to be the No. 2 option behind Lamar Miller. McClain reports that the team let the 23-year-old go because the Texans "weren't happy with his work habits." With Foreman out of the picture, that leaves veterans Buddy Howell, Josh Ferguson and Taiwan Jones as well as undrafted rookies Karan Higdon and Damarea Crockett to fight for the backup job in Houston.
