  • Breece Hall RB | NYJ

Jets' Breece Hall: Big workload in London loss

Hall rushed 22 times for 59 yards and recovered a fumble in the Jets' 13-11 loss to the Broncos on Sunday in London.

Hall's workload was his largest of the season yet, as the Broncos and Jets engaged in a slugfest where pass protection was at a premium for Justin Fields, who was sacked nine times. Turning to Hall didn't yield particularly encouraging dividends for New York, however, as Denver's talented defense held the running back to a long run of eight yards. Hall had come in on an encouraging two-game stretch where he'd amassed 194 yards on 28 carries against the suspect defenses of the Dolphins and Cowboys, but the notable increase in the caliber of competition Sunday served to neutralize him. Hall and the Jets get an easier assignment in their return stateside, as the Panthers will pay a visit to MetLife Stadium next Sunday for a Week 7 interconference clash.

  • Jaylen Wright RB | MIA

    Dolphins' Jaylen Wright: Inactive Sunday

Wright (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

The running back is a healthy scratch for the second straight game, as De'Von Achane and Ollie Gordon continue to lead Miami's backfield. Wright has yet to carry the ball in 2025.

  • Raheim Sanders RB | CLE

Browns' Raheim Sanders: Healthy scratch vs. Pittsburgh

Sanders (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Steelers.

The undrafted rookie played three snaps on offense during the Browns' Week 1 loss to the Bengals but has not played since. The Browns will go with a three-man backfield of Quinshon Judkins, Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson for Sunday's AFC North tilt.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Ready to go for Week 6

Kamara (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Patriots.

A limited participant in practice throughout the week due to the ankle injury, Kamara took a questionable tag into the weekend but never seemed at major risk of missing Sunday's contest. Now that he's confirmed as available for the Week 6 contest, Kamara should continue in his usual role as the Saints' lead option out of the backfield. Though Kamara's name has popped up in trade rumors as the 1-4 Saints navigate what looks to be a rebuilding season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Saturday that the 30-year-old back told general manager Mickey Loomis that he would like to remain with the franchise for the duration of his career. The Saints are expected to honor Kamara's request and hold on to him ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline, even though multiple contending teams would likely be in the market for his services.

  • Michael Carter RB | TEN

Cardinals' Michael Carter: Expected to lose touches to Knight

Bam Knight is expected to take on a bigger workload out of the Cardinals backfield alongside Michael Carter and Emari Demercado in Sunday's game against the Colts, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Per Schefter, in a game that QB Jacoby Brissett is expected to start in place of Kyler Murray (foot), Knight -- who logged five touches in last week's 22-21 loss to the Titans -- is expected to see an expanded role, with Schefter suggesting that Knight is on track to work ahead of Carter, who had 23 touches versus Tennessee. With that context in mind, and with Demercado (three carries Week 5) also in the mix, Carter profiles as a hit-or-miss fantasy lineup option Sunday.

  • Zonovan Knight RB | ARI

Cardinals' Bam Knight: In line for bigger role

Knight is expected to take on a bigger workload out of the Cardinals backfield Sunday at Indianapolis, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

In the absences of James Conner (foot) and Trey Benson (knee) last Sunday against the Titans, Knight was third in the RB rotation behind Michael Carter and Emari Demercado, but Schefter specifically noted that Knight is in line to work in front of Carter in Week 6. Carter recorded 23 touches on a 73 percent snap share Week 5, while Demercado (three touches, 28 percent) and Knight (five touches, 16 percent) were well behind him. If Knight supplants Carter at the top of the depth chart, the former would be slated for significant increases in both touches and snaps.

  • Hassan Haskins RB | LAC

Chargers' Hassan Haskins: Candidate to lead backfield Sunday

Haskins is expected to lead the Chargers backfield Sunday against the Dolphins, with Kimani Vidal also slated to mix in, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

That said, offensive coordinator Greg Roman told Kris Rhim of ESPN.com on Thursday that the Chargers weren't planning on leaning on a lead back in Week 6 with Omarion Hampton (ankle) landing on injured reserve. Instead, Roman noted that Haskins and Vidal are both "gonna be big factors in the game, how it's gonna unfold from snap count standpoint...can go a bunch of different ways in that regard." Even if Haskins draws the start, both backs should contribute versus Miami as the team adjusts to being without Hampton for at least four weeks, with Garafolo suggesting that the running back's absence could extend beyond that timeframe. Meanwhile, Garafolo indicates that it's also possible that the Chargers add backfield depth ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline. Either way, Haskins and Vidal both represent lineup options for fantasy managers who had been leaning on Hampton or are otherwise looking for backfield help this week.

  • Chargers' Omarion Hampton: Likely to miss more than four games

Hampton, who was placed on injured reserve Wednesday due to a left ankle injury, isn't expected to be out for the season but is on track to be sidelined for more than the four-game minimum, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Earlier in the week, Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh didn't provide many details about the injury Hampton sustained in the Week 5 loss to the Commanders, but the fact that the promising rookie is expected to need more than four weeks to make a full recovery points to him likely nursing a high-ankle sprain. A target date for Hampton's return has yet to be established, but because the Chargers have a bye coming up in Week 12, the team could be motivated to hold him out through that period to give him ample time to heal. Garafolo notes that Hassan Haskins is likely to serve as the Chargers' lead back Sunday in Miami while practice-squad signee Kimani Vidal also sees work, but Los Angeles is expected to be in the market for a running back ahead of the Nov. 4 trade deadline to compensate for the long-term injuries to Hampton and Najee Harris (Achilles).

  • Broncos' Jaleel McLaughlin: Active for first time in 2025

McLaughlin is active for the first time this season in Sunday's game against the Jets in London, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

A healthy inactive for Denver's first five games, McLaughlin will finally get the chance to make his 2025 debut as he suits up as the Broncos' No. 3 back behind J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey. In order to make room for McLaughlin on the gameday roster, the Broncos have elected to make fellow running back Tyler Badie inactive for the first time. Though McLaughlin totaled 572 yards from scrimmage over 16 games in 2024, the Broncos likely won't call on him to play more than a handful of snaps behind Dobbins and Harvey on Sunday.

  • Khalil Herbert RB | NYJ

Jets' Khalil Herbert: Healthy inactive for London game

Herbert (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Broncos in London.

After signing with the Jets last week, Herbert dressed as the Jets' No. 3 running back for this past Sunday's 37-22 loss to the Cowboys. He didn't see any playing time on offense in the loss but contributed on special teams, where he brought back one kickoff for 22 yards. With Kene Nwangwu (hamstring) set to play Sunday for the first time since Week 1, the Jets won't have a need for Herbert as depth at running back or as a kickoff returner.
