Coach Kliff Kingsbury said there's "definitely concern" Edmonds (hamstring) won't be active Thursday against the 49ers, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Prior to Sunday's game in New Orleans, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported David Johnson (ankle) was in line to sit out both Weeks 8 and 9. However, Edmonds was knocked out with a hamstring injury, so it stands to reason the Cardinals will reevaluate that stance if Edmonds is in worse shape than Johnson. Behind the pair, Zach Zenner (active Sunday) and Alfred Morris (inactive) are the healthy running backs on the Cardinals' 53-man roster.

Gordon carried the ball eight times for 31 yards and a touchdown, also catching two of his three targets for three yards in the 17-16 win Sunday over the Bears.

For a second consecutive week, Gordon hit paydirt, but he's registered a paltry 112 rushing yards on 44 carries since returning from his holdout in Week 5. Still, this was arguably the 26-year-old's best game since the aforementioned return, as he showed off his trademark elusiveness on a 19-yard touchdown scamper in which he changed direction on a nifty backdoor cut to find space. With the Chargers' offensive line in shambles, it's hard to have any sort of confidence in Gordon returning to last year's form, one that saw him average 5.1 yards per carry. However, he's a capable red-zone threat in an offense that has been able to move the ball despite difficult matchups such as Sunday's.

Edmonds is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Saints due to a hamstring injury, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Edmonds left the field late in the third quarter. With David Johnson (ankle) inactive, the newly signed Zach Zenner will serve as Arizona's only available running back if Edmonds is unable to return. Before leaving Sunday's contest, Edmond rushed seven times for eight yards.

Sanders left Sunday's game at Buffalo due to a shoulder injury, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Both Sanders and Jordan Howard got banged up in the third quarter, with the former heading to the locker room immediately with the training staff. While Howard's injury is unknown, Sanders is questionable to return, leaving Boston Scott as the Eagles' only healthy and available running back. If he doesn't reenter the game, Sanders will finish with three carries for 74 yards and a TD to go with three receptions (on three targets) for 44 yards.

Harris is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns.

The return of Rex Burkhead (foot) pushes the rookie back to the Patriots' Week 8 inactive list. In the event that Sony Michel suffers an injury down the road, Harris could factor in on early downs, but for now the 2019 third-rounder is off the fantasy radar.

Jacobs (shoulder) is active for Sunday's tilt against the Texans.

This development was increasingly expected, with multiple late-week and weekend reports indicating Jacobs was trending in the right direction. The impressive rookie should be available for his usual workload Week 8 against a relatively tough Texans run defense.

Mostert (knee) is active for Sunday's contest against the Panthers.

Mostert was a limited practice participant this week, but he nonetheless will be available to the backfield and special-teams unit in this one. In Week 7, he didn't log a single offensive snap, so it's a good bet Jeff Wilson will handle any RB reps that don't go to Tevin Coleman and Matt Breida.

The Dolphins have agreed in principle to a trade involving Drake, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

This news confirms why the running back didn't accompany the Dolphins to Pittsburgh for Monday night's game against the Steelers. It hasn't yet been revealed which team Drake will be headed to, but per the report, an agreement on that front was arrived at Saturday night. Thought to be among his possible destinations are Tennessee and Detroit. With Drake in line to be on the move, Miami's backfield is now slated to be be led by Mark Walton, with Kalen Ballage in reserve and Patrick Laird and Myles Gaskin candidates to serve as the team's No. 3 back.

With Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald relaying that Kenyan Drake (not injury-related) won't travel with the Dolphins for Monday night's game at Pittsburgh, Walton is in line to head the team's Week 8 backfield.

It's assumed that Drake not traveling with the team likely foreshadows a deal prior to Tuesday's NFL trade deadline. If the team moves Drake, Walton -- who led the team with 14 carries in Week 7 -- will be in line to serve as the team's lead back in the coming weeks, with Kalen Ballage also in the mix.

The Dolphins have announced that Drake will not travel with the team for Monday night's game against the Steelers, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

Drake isn't known to be dealing with any sort of injury, which suggests that he's likely to be dealt before Tuesday's trade deadline. With Drake not in line to suit up Monday night, the Dolphins' Week 8 backfield is slated to be led by Mark Walton and Kalen Ballage.
