Darwin Thompson RB | LV
Chiefs' Darwin Thompson: Back to reduced role
Thompson rushed just five times for 14 yards Sunday against the Bears.
Thompson's snap count took a major hit due to Damien Williams' return to the lineup. The rookie back saw the field on just six offensive snaps (nine percent), though he did get handed the ball on five of his six snaps. As long as Williams is healthy, Thompson shouldn't see the field very often.

James Conner RB | ARI
Steelers' James Conner: Status up in air for season finale
Coach Mike Tomlin called Conner's (quadriceps) status for Week 17 at Baltimore "very much in question," Missi Matthews of the Steelers' official site reports.
Conner has been unable to avoid the injury bug this season. At the moment, he's tending to a quad issue that he sustained on his final carry of Week 16, per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com. While the results of an MRI haven't been released, Tomlin's comments aren't exactly encouraging for Conner's availability for the season finale. If he misses his sixth game of the campaign Sunday, Benny Snell Jr. and Jaylen Samuels would be in line for more prominent roles.

Gus Edwards RB | LAC
Ravens' Gus Edwards: Primed for increased workload
Edwards is in line for more work in Week 17 with Mark Ingram (calf) ruled out against the Steelers.
Edwards turned in his second-highest rushing output of the season against the Brown in Week 16, taking 12 carries for 66 yards. Edwards is ripping off 5.2 yards per carry on the season and is now primed to take on the bulk of the rushing work for at least the season finale with Ingram sidelined. He'll likely cede passing-down work to rookie Justice Hill, however.

Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Packers' Aaron Jones: Stars in division-clinching win
Jones rushed 23 times for 154 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers' 23-10 win over the Vikings on Monday night. He also brought in two of three targets for six yards and lost a fumble.
Jones tore through the normally stingy Vikings run defense, and he put an exclamation point on the division-clinching victory for the Packers with a 56-yard scoring scamper up the left sideline with 5:51 remaining in the contest. That was preceded by a 12-yard touchdown rush late in the third quarter that erased a 10-9 deficit. Jones has run for 130 or more yards in two of his last three games, and he'll look to wrap the regular season up in similarly spectacular fashion at the expense of the Lions in Week 17.

Mike Boone RB | MIA
Vikings' Mike Boone: Flops as starter
Boone rushed 11 times for 28 yards and caught his lone target for another five yards in Monday's 23-10 loss to the Packers.
Boone got the start with Dalvin Cook (chest) and Alexander Mattison (ankle) unavailable, but he failed to make the most of the opportunity and ceded most of the second-half work to receiving back Ameer Abdullah with Minnesota playing from behind. Even if neither of Minnesota's top two running backs returns in Week 17 against the Bears, it's tough to recommend Boone after this mediocre performance.

Jamaal Williams RB | NO
Packers' Jamaal Williams: Questionable to return Monday
Williams suffered a shoulder injury Monday and is questionable to return.
Williams has 33 rushing yards on six attempts to go along with two receptions for 19 yards in the contest. In his absence, the Packers will rely heavily upon Aaron Jones, as Tyler Ervin is the only other active running back on the roster.

Samaje Perine RB | CIN
Dolphins' Samaje Perine: Finds new home in Miami
Perine was signed Monday by the Dolphins off the Bengals' practice squad, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Perine hasn't made much impact as a 2017 fourth-round pick, despite opportunities during stints with Washington and Cincinnati. Overall, he's averaged 3.5 YPC on 183 career rushes, hauled in 25 of 28 targets for 187 yards and scored two TDs in 27 career games. In his new home, Perine will provide depth to a Dolphins backfield that may be without Myles Gaskin (ankle) during Sunday's season finale in New England.

Mike Boone RB | MIA
Vikings' Mike Boone: Getting Week 16 start
Boone will be the Vikings' starting running back Monday versus the Packers.
While the Vikings ruled out Dalvin Cook (chest) on Saturday, they kept the door open for Alexander Mattison (ankle) due to his ability to practice in a limited capacity. However, it marked Mattison's first on-field appearance over the last two weeks, so it's no surprise the team is making him inactive as well. As a result, Boone, owner of 4.5 yards per carry as a pro, won't have too many obstacles to touches. Meanwhile, Ameer Abdullah and fullback C.J. Ham are on hand to take on whatever workload Boone can't handle.
-
Alexander Mattison RB | MIA
Vikings' Alexander Mattison: Not playing Week 16
Mattison (ankle) is inactive for Monday's game versus the Packers.
With Dalvin Cook (chest) and Mattison sidelined, the Vikings' backfield is a bit short-handed during the push for playoff positioning. In their absence, Mike Boone is expected to receive the bulk of the RB reps, while Ameer Abdullah and fullback C.J. Ham also are available for touches.

Boston Scott RB | PIT
Eagles' Boston Scott: Six grabs in win
Scott rushed three times for 12 yards and caught all six of his targets for seven yards in Sunday's 17-9 win over Dallas.
Scott got out-touched again by Miles Sanders, 26-9, but the Louisiana Tech product caught enough balls to matter in PPR leagues. Sanders similarly out-snapped Scott, 59-20, on offense. Scott's role could be reduced if Jordan Howard (shoulder) is able to return as the Eagles look to lock down the NFC East in Week 17 against the Giants.
