Patrick Laird RB | TB
Dolphins' Patrick Laird: Scarcely involved against Jags
Laird did not garner any rush attempts or targets during Thursday's 31-13 win against Jacksonville.
The 25-year-old back earned just one offensive snap during Thursday Night Football, securing the vast majority of his work on special teams while Myles Gaskin (22 carries), Matt Breida (three) and Jordan Howard (three) split Miami's RB rushing attempts. Laird hauled in both of his targets for nine yards Week 1 against the Patriots, but he remains without a carry through the early stages of his second pro campaign. Week 4 does not offer a promising matchup for the Dolphins' backfield in general, with Miami opposing Seattle's No. 2 rush defense.

Trayveon Williams RB | CLE
Bengals' Trayveon Williams: Out of RB rotation in early going
Williams did not suit up during Sunday's 23-23 tie against the Eagles.
The 2019 sixth-round pick has yet to make an appearance on the active roster this season, though he did dress for 11 games as a rookie. Williams remains in search of his first NFL carry after running for more than 3,600 yards with 35 total touchdowns during his collegiate career at Texas A&M. Samaje Perine has so far served as the No. 3 running back for Cincinnati this season, but he has logged 61 special-teams snaps to only one offensive snap.

Darwin Thompson RB | LV
Chiefs' Darwin Thompson: Loses fumbles during MNF win
Thompson registered 11 rushing yards on two carries and lost a fumble during Monday's 34-20 win over the Ravens. He was also targeted twice in the passing game but recorded no receptions.
Thompson coughed up the ball on Kansas City's opening possession of the second half, enabling Baltimore to establish a brief stretch of momentum by collecting a field goal and a touchdown on consecutive drives. The second-year back did not register another offensive touch the rest of the way, as Darrel Williams took over sole No. 2 RB duties behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire and fielded two carries for six yards while also recording a five-yard catch. Edwards-Helaire paced the backfield on the night with 20 carries, but the pecking order behind the rookie is unclear heading into a Week 4 matchup against the Patriots' 19th-ranked rush defense.

Gus Edwards RB | LAC
Ravens' Gus Edwards: Impressive in limited work
Edwards had four carries for 39 yards Monday against the Chiefs.
Edwards paced all Baltimore running backs in rushing Monday despite playing just 13 snaps and seeing just four carries. He is averaging 7.2 YPC through three games (18 attempts) so while Edwards is getting chunks of yardage every time he gets the ball, Baltimore's deep running back rotation is keeping his volume down. Edwards and the Ravens will head down the beltway to face the Washington Football Team in Week 5.

Darrel Williams RB | NO
Chiefs' Darrel Williams: Logs 16 snaps
Williams rushed twice for six yards and hauled in both of his targets for one yard Monday against the Ravens.
Williams resumed his backup duties behind rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire this week after departing early the game prior due to an ankle issue. As long as he's healthy, Williams should see a small amount of playing time each week. He is also the clear favorite to take on the lead job should Edwards-Helaire miss any time.

Boston Scott RB | PIT
Eagles' Boston Scott: Gains just five yards in tie
Scott rushed three times for five yards and couldn't catch his only target in Sunday's 23-23 tie with the Bengals.
It was the Miles Sanders Show once again as Scott was on the field for just 13 offensive plays. While that is more than double what Corey Clement saw (six snaps), it isn't enough to be rosterable in fantasy and likely won't be as long as Sanders is healthy.

Corey Clement RB | ARI
Eagles' Corey Clement: Sees just six snaps Sunday
Clement rushed three times for eight yards in Sunday's 23-23 tie with the Bengals.
Clement once again played sparingly behind Miles Sanders and saw just six snaps on offense, seven fewer than Boston Scott. Perhaps his most notable contribution to the game was an unnecessary roughness penalty on a second-quarter punt that set the Bengals up at the Eagles' 38-yard line, enabling Cincinnati to kick a field goal just five plays later for its first points of the game. With Sanders healthy, the 25-year-old Clement looks like he'll primarily be a special-teams contributor for the foreseeable future.

J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN
Ravens' J.K. Dobbins: Leads team in receiving
Dobbins rushed once for six yards and caught all four of his targets for 38 yards in Monday night's 34-20 loss to the Chiefs.
Dobbins saw next to no involvement on the ground as Baltimore trailed for most of the game, resulting in all three of the team's tailbacks finishing with under 40 rushing yards. To his credit, though, Dobbins made an impact through the air, actually leading the Ravens in receptions and receiving yards. Although his modest totals won't wow anyone, the rookie at least salvaged some production in an awful Ravens offensive outing. Furthermore, Week 4's matchup against Washington figures to favor a Baltimore rebound, which could offer more opportunities to the team's backfield.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire RB | KC
Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire: Good all-purpose performance
Edwards-Helaire rushed 20 times for 64 yards and caught five of six targets for 70 yards in Monday night's 34-20 win over the Ravens.
Edwards-Helaire's dynamic skill set was once again on display in another great offensive performance from the Chiefs. Although he averaged just 3.2 yards per carry, the rookie flashed his ability to make defenders miss through power and quickness, and he reached 20 carries for the second time in three games. More impressively, however, Edwards-Helaire displayed his excellent hands, setting a new high mark in receiving yards for his young career. Just three games into life as a pro, Edwards-Helaire has already established himself as a uniquely talented tailback who's perfectly suited for his role in Kansas City's scheme, keeping his stock high ahead of a clash with the Patriots in Week 4.

Royce Freeman RB | CHI
Broncos' Royce Freeman: Gains 35 yards
Freeman caught both of his targets for 31 yards and ran for four yards on two carries during Sunday's 28-10 loss to Tampa Bay.
Freeman helped convert a third-and-long early in the third quarter with a big 28-yard catch-and-run, Denver's longest play of the game. He otherwise played a small supporting role in a Denver rush offense that could not kick into gear after falling behind early. His value heading into Thursday's matchup against the Jets rush defense depends on two things. First, the health of Phillip Lindsay (toe). Second, whether Brett Rypien, Jeff Driskel or even Blake Bortles can pass well enough to keep the Broncos' offense balanced and on schedule.
