Samaje Perine RB | CIN
Bengals' Samaje Perine: Set for top backup role Week 11
Perine is expected to serve as the top backup to Giovani Bernard in the Bengals' game Sunday at Washington after head coach Zac Taylor confirmed Joe Mixon (foot) wouldn't play, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Mixon had already missed the Bengals' previous three games, but Perine only saw notable volume behind Bernard in the last two contests, garnering 11 and eight touches in Weeks 8 and 10, respectively. Even that modest level of usage may be somewhat unreliable going forward should Mixon miss more time, as Perine only received four touches through the first three quarters of last week's 36-10 loss to the Steelers before getting more work in the final 15 minutes of the blowout while Bernard rested. Assuming Sunday's game versus the Football Team proves more competitive, Perine and third-stringer Trayveon Williams may be subbed in only occasionally while Bernard takes on a three-down role.

Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Bengals' Joe Mixon: Won't return this week
Coach Zac Taylor said Friday that Mixon (foot) won't play Sunday against Washington, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
With Mixon -- who last played Oct. 18 -- still sidelined, Giovani Bernard and Samaje Perine are in line to head the Bengals' rushing attack in Week 11. Taylor suggested he wouldn't make any predictions on Mixon's timeline to rejoin the lineup, so the running back looks like he could be at risk of missing a fifth straight game Week 12 versus the Giants.

Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Bengals' Joe Mixon: Not spotted at practice Friday
Mixon (foot) wasn't spotted during the open portion of Friday's practice, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
With that, Mixon doesn't seem likely to suit up Sunday against Washington, though his status won't be officially known until the Bengals release their final Week 11 injury report later Friday. In any case, Giovani Bernard looks set to handle a three-down role this weekend, with Samaje Perine expected to serve as his top backup.

James Robinson RB | NO
Jaguars' James Robinson: Ready to face Pittsburgh
Robinson (shoulder) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Steelers, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Robinson has been limited in practice due to a shoulder injury this week, but he looks on track to handle his usual full workload versus Pittsburgh. The undrafted rookie has put together three straight games with at least 20 rushing attempts, but Pittsburgh's stout defensive front (106.8 average rushing yards allowed per game) will represent one of the tougher matchups he's faced all season.

DeeJay Dallas RB | JAC
Seahawks' DeeJay Dallas: Garners just three touches
Dallas rushed once for 13 yards and caught both of his targets for 19 yards in Thursday's 28-21 win over the Cardinals.
Dallas lost reps to a practice squad running back for a second straight week, as Alex Collins out-snapped him last week against the Rams and Bo Scarbrough (hamstring) did the same against the Cardinals. Meanwhile, Carlos Hyde returned from a hamstring injury and operated as the team's lead back, turning 16 touches into 95 yards and a touchdown. Chris Carson (foot) is expected to return next week against the Eagles, so Dallas' fantasy value has essentially evaporated now.

D'Andre Swift RB | CHI
Lions' D'Andre Swift: Not looking good for Week 11
Head coach Matt Patricia acknowledged Friday that it will be "difficult" for Swift (concussion) to play Sunday against the Panthers, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Patricia noted that the Lions are "doing our diligence" with Swift, but with the game just a couple days away, the rookie has limited time to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. The Lions will provide another update on Swift's status after Friday's practice comes to a close. If Swift is indeed unable to go Week 11, Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson would be in line to split the bulk of the backfield work in some fashion.

Chase Edmonds RB | WAS
Cardinals' Chase Edmonds: Scores as receiver in loss
Edmonds rushed twice for 13 yards, brought in all four targets for 36 yards and a touchdown and returned five kickoffs for 100 yards in the Cardinals' 28-21 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night.
The versatile running back put his skill set on full display in the losing effort, with the highlight of his night coming on a three-yard touchdown grab early in the fourth quarter to cap off a 15-play, 90-yard march. Edmonds did see his lowest rushing workload of the season, but he'd come close to matching Thursday's sparse usage with a trio of three-carry games earlier in the campaign. The 2018 fourth-round pick now have multiple receptions in four straight contests and has crossed the goal line three times as a receiver on the season, which continues to give him fantasy utility in deeper PPR formats. He'll look to put together another productive effort versus the Patriots in a Week 12 road tilt on Sunday, Nov. 29.

Rashaad Penny RB | CAR
Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Still a few weeks away
Coach Pete Carroll said Thursday that Penny (knee) is "a few weeks away" from retaking the field, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Penny has spent the entire 2020 campaign on the PUP list and still hasn't practiced, but it appears that the Seahawks still expect him to return at some point this season. However, just as the PUP list restricts players from practicing for the first six weeks of the season, it is also required that players must either then resume practicing, shift to IR or be released after an additional five weeks elapse, so Seattle will need to make a decision on Penny sooner rather than later.

Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Cardinals' Kenyan Drake: Modest totals in loss
Drake rushed 11 times for 29 yards and a touchdown and brought in four of five targets for 31 yards in the Cardinals' 28-21 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night.
Drake's modest rushing tally led the Cardinals for the night, but the fifth-year back did reward fantasy managers with a two-yard scoring run early in the second quarter. The 26-year-old was coming off his second 100-yard effort of the campaign Week 10 against the Bills, but Seattle's run defense performed up to its standard and held Drake to a season-low yardage total in the process. Drake appeared to move around well on the previously gimpy ankle he's been nursing back to health, and he'll now have extra time before having to face the Patriots in a Week 12 road battle on Sunday, Nov. 29.

Corey Clement RB | ARI
Eagles' Corey Clement: Moves to COVID list
Clement was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.
Upon discovering Thursday morning that a player within the organization tested positive for COVID-19, Philadelphia shifted a total of five players to the inactive list -- including fellow depth skill-position players J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and John Hightower. The 26-year-old Clement has not been heavily integrated into the offense this season, collecting 19 rush attempts and four receptions over his nine appearances. He missed 12 games last year after being placed on IR with a shoulder injury.
