Patterson exited Sunday's game against the Jets and is uncertain to return while he receives an evaluation for a concussion, Melissa Stark of NFL Network reports.

The Falcons sent Patterson to a blue tent on the sideline for an evaluation of the head injury after he left Sunday's contest in the first quarter. Before checking out of the contest, Patterson carried twice for 18 yards. If Patterson is done for the day, Mike Davis would likely have a clear path to a three-down role out of the Atlanta backfield.

Swift (groin), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings, is expected to be active for the contest, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Swift has previously been labeled as questionable ahead of each of the Lions' last three contests, but he's played each time, averaging 10 carries and six targets in those games while totaling 234 yards from scrimmage and scoring a touchdown. No. 2 back Jamaal Williams (hip) is also listed as questionable but is expected to play, so Detroit should be able to divvy up the backfield work between him and Swift in relatively typical fashion Sunday.

Perine is inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons.

With Perine a healthy scratch Sunday, the Jets' Week 5 backfield will continue to be comprised of Michael Carter, Ty Johnson and Tevin Coleman.

Williams (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets.

With Isaiah Oliver (knee) on IR and Williams unavailable, look for Fabian Moreau and T.J. Green to log added cornerback snaps Sunday. Williams, who has recorded eight tackles in four games this season, will now target a return to action after the Falcons' bye when the team takes on Miami in Week 7.

Gibson (shin), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, is expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Per Sam Fortier of The Washington Post, Gibson, who was limited at practice Thursday and Friday, is dealing with a stress fracture in his shin. The injury has been something the running back has been able to play through so far this season, so assuming he incurs no pregame setbacks, Gibson is on track to suit up Week 5. Official confirmation on his status arrive when Washington releases its inactive list approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Edmonds (shoulder), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the 49ers, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Edmonds took a designation into the weekend after he returned to a limited practice Friday following missed sessions Wednesday and Thursday. Confirmation of Edmonds' status will arrive upon the release of the Cardinals' inactive list approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:25 ET p.m. kickoff. If Edmonds ends up limited or out versus San Francisco, James Conner would be in line for added backfield work.

Coach Mike Zimmer reportedly views Cook (ankle) as a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Lions, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Cook didn't practice either Wednesday or Thursday but returned to a limited session Friday and is officially listed as questionable heading into Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff. Per Schefter, if Cook does suit up against Detroit, it's not a lock the running back would be slated for his normal workload. In that context, Alexander Mattison -- who logged 10 carries in Cook's return to action last weekend -- would continue to remain a factor in Minnesota's rushing attack in Week 5.

Williams (hip), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Minnesota, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Williams was a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday, which should be enough for him to get the green light to play. Meanwhile, top back D'Andre Swift (groin) is also listed as questionable, but he should also avoid the inactive list. Detroit will clarify the statuses of both running backs approximately 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Elliott (knee), currently listed as questionable, is expected to play in Sunday's matchup against the Giants, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Elliott logged two limited practices to close out the week, creating optimism that he'll be active for Sunday's game. While that still isn't official, all signs seemingly point to Elliott leading the Cowboys' backfield against the Giants. Elliott is coming off of a strong Week 4 performance, during which he posted a season-best 20 rush attempts and 143 rushing yards in a win over Carolina.

Hines (shoulder) doesn't carry an injury designation for Monday night's game against the Ravens after being listed as a full practice participant Saturday.

Now that he's cleared for Week 5 action, Hines will continue to work in a change-of-pace role behind Indy's top back Jonathan Taylor. It's an assignment that has led to hit-or-miss fantasy production for Hines out of the gate. In the Colts' Week 4 win over the Dolphins, Hines logged two carries for six yards and two catches for five yards on two targets. Looking ahead, Hines figures to be more involved in games where the team needs to throw more, which keeps the 24-year-old on the PPR radar.
