  • Saquon Barkley RB | PHI

Giants' Saquon Barkley: Cleared for Sunday

Barkley (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at Atlanta, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

The Giants continue to limit Barkley's practice reps in response to last year's ACL injury. He played more than 80 percent of offensive snaps in Weeks 2 and 3, though the Giants haven't shown much of a running game so far. They may need it Sunday, with starting wideouts Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton both sidelined by hamstring injuries.

  • Dalvin Cook RB | DAL

Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Listed as questionable

Cook (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Cleveland, with Vikings coach Mike Zimmer noting Friday that the running back "looked pretty good" in the team's final practice of the week, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Cook didn't quite show enough to avoid a game designation, but it does seems like he's trending toward a return after practicing Wednesday through Friday, albeit in a limited capacity. If he does end up a game-time decision, fantasy managers will at least have plenty of alternatives with the Vikings and Browns scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Alexander Mattison filled in for Cook last week and had 171 total yards on a 68-percent snap share in the 30-17 win over Seattle.

  • Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Deemed questionable

Gibson (shin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Atlanta, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

After missing practice Thursday, the running back was spotted going through position drills Friday morning. Gibson was listed as a limited participant, per Ben Standig of The Athletic, and thus may need to be treated as a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Washington's weekend transactions may provide a hint, considering J.D. McKissic and Jaret Patterson were the only other RBs on the 53-man roster for Friday's practice. If there's real concern about Gibson's injury, the team likely will call up Jonathan Williams from the practice squad or else bring in another running back.

  • Dalvin Cook RB | DAL

    Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Practicing again

Cook (ankle) is practicing Friday, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

This was expected after the running back logged limited practices Wednesday and Thursday. There's been clear progress since last week when Cook didn't practice at all, but it's still possible the Vikings give him an injury designation Friday afternoon on their final injury report for Sunday's game against Cleveland.

  • Football Team's Antonio Gibson: Returns to practice Friday

Gibson (shin) is taking part in position drills during the early portion of Friday's practice, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.

The 23-year-old was added to Washington's injury report as a non-participant Thursday due to the shin injury, but he's back on the field Friday and is at least practicing in a limited fashion. Gibson should have a solid chance to suit up Sunday in Atlanta, though it's unclear if he'll be able to avoid a Week 4 injury designation completely.

  • Joe Mixon RB | HOU

Bengals' Joe Mixon: Injures ankle late Thursday

Mixon rushed 16 times for 67 yards and a touchdown while catching one of two targets for no gain in Thursday's 24-21 win over the Jaguars. He spent the Bengals' final few offensive plays on the sidelines with what coach Zac Taylor deemed a minor ankle injury, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

Taylor used the word "minor" to describe the injury, so it sounds like Mixon should have a chance to suit up against the Packers in Week 5, especially since he'll have 10 days to heal up. Nonetheless, the injury-prone running back will likely show up on the injury report when the Bengals resume practicing, and Samaje Perine -- who had three carries for seven yards and a 15-yard catch Thursday -- could be in line for a bigger role in the event Mixon's injury ends up more serious than is being let on. Prior to exiting, Mixon found the end zone from one yard out in the third quarter for his second touchdown of the season.

  • Jaguars' James Robinson: Two touchdowns in loss

Robinson carried 18 times for 78 yards and two touchdowns and brought in one of two targets for minus-2 yards in the Jaguars' 24-21 loss to the Bengals on Thursday night.

Robinson had goal-line carries all to himself as far as the backfield was concerned with Carlos Hyde (shoulder) inactive, and he cashed in from six and four yards out in the first and fourth quarters, respectively. The second-year back had crossed the goal line for the first time this season in the loss to the Cardinals on Sunday, so he's now recorded three touchdowns in five days. Robinson's receiving tally was his least productive of the season thus far, but given what he was able to do with more red-zone work Thursday, it's possible he's rewarded with more touches overall in that area of the field in a Week 5 divisional battle against the Titans a week from Sunday.

  • Mike Boone RB | MIA

Broncos' Mike Boone: Looking healthy in practice

Boone (quadriceps) showed no signs of limitations while participating in individual drills during Thursday's practice, Kyle Newman of The Denver Post reports.

Boone was able to run, cut and accelerate without any issues as he prepares to return to the field. It appears the 26-year-old has recovered from a quadriceps injury he suffered in August. If Denver decides to play Boone this week, it is plausible to think that he could handle a few carries and contribute on special teams in the Broncos' Week 4 matchup against the Ravens.

  • Rashaad Penny RB | CAR

Seahawks' Rashaad Penny: Not practicing yet

Penny (calf) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

As expected, the Seahawks continue to exercise caution with Penny, the oft-injured back who has made just four appearances the past two seasons. On a positive note, coach Pete Carroll told Boyle on Wednesday that Penny's left calf is closing in on 100 percent health. Still, there's an expectation Penny misses a third game in a row Sunday in San Francisco, which would allow Travis Homer and Alex Collins to handle the RB snaps that Chris Carson yields to the reserves.

  • Jaguars' James Robinson: Set for bigger workload Thursday

Robinson is in line for an expanded role Thursday in Cincinnati with Carlos Hyde a scratch for the contest, John Reid of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Hyde has vultured 21 touches and one red-zone rush through three games, reps that will now be available for Robinson and potentially special teamer Dare Ogunbowale. For the season, Robinson has averaged 14.3 touches for 84 total yards per game while scoring one touchdown. With that baseline and his primary competition for snaps out of the picture Thursday, he could be in line for the type of usage he experienced as an undrafted rookie last year (20.6 touches per outing).
