Josh Jacobs RB | GB
Raiders' Josh Jacobs: Diagnosed with contusion
Interim head coach Rich Bisaccia said Jacobs sustained a chest contusion in Sunday's 33-22 win over the Eagles, but the running back is expected to be fine for the Raiders' next game Nov. 7 against the Giants, Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Though the injury knocked him out of the Raiders' Week 7 game early, Jacobs likely would have stood a good chance at playing next weekend, if Las Vegas had a game. Instead, Jacobs will benefit from an extra week of rest with the Raiders on bye Week 8, which should put him in strong position to practice fully in advance of the matchup with the Giants. Jacobs at least rewarded fantasy managers with a touchdown before his early departure against the Eagles while also chipping in 68 yards from scrimmage on nine touches (six carries, three catches).

Trey Sermon RB | PIT
49ers' Trey Sermon: Limited to special teams
Sermon did not receive a touch or an offensive snap in Sunday's 30-18 loss to the Colts.
Sermon took a back seat to Elijah Mitchell when his fellow rookie returned from injury Week 5, and now he's dropped in the depth chart yet again with the return of JaMycal Hasty (ankle). The 49ers' third-round pick from this year's draft performed well in Mitchell's absence, so his placement in head coach Kyle Shanahan's doghouse doesn't add up. Whatever the case may be, it's clear the team has no intentions on developing Sermon so long as Mitchell is healthy, leaving the back off the fantasy radar heading into next Sunday's tilt against the Bears.

Chris Evans RB | CIN
Bengals' Chris Evans: Labeled day-to-day
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Evans (hamstring) is viewed as day-to-day heading into Sunday's game against the Jets, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Though Evans didn't take an injury designation into the Bengals' win over the Ravens this past weekend, Taylor said the rookie running back was limited to a special-teams role because his hamstring was still bothering him. Fortunately for Cincinnati, Samaje Perine was back after a one-game absence due to a positive COVID-19 test, and he was able to reclaim duties as the top backup to Joe Mixon. Evans probably amounts to an upgrade over Perine on passing downs, so the former could recapture a small role on offense once the injury is fully behind him.

Miles Sanders RB | DAL
Eagles' Miles Sanders: Likely managing low-ankle sprain
Sanders is believed to be dealing with a low-ankle sprain after exiting Sunday's game against the Raiders, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Sanders was hurt on the Eagles' second possession of the game Sunday and was unable to return to the contest after he was carted to the locker room. However, it appears as though the 24-year-old avoided a major injury. Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott are in line for increased work if Sanders is forced to miss additional time.

Marlon Mack RB | ARI
Colts' Marlon Mack: Just three carries Sunday
Mack had three carries for four yards in Sunday's 30-18 win at San Francisco.
Mack played on just four snaps on offense as his small role was slightly lower than his past three games because Jonathan Taylor was on a roll (18 carries for 107 yards). The larger question for Mack's fantasy value is whether he's moved before the Nov. 2 trade deadline because Mack and the Colts mutually agreed to seek a trade three weeks ago.

Nyheim Miller-Hines RB | NO
Colts' Nyheim Hines: Just 12 total yards Sunday
Hines had eight carries for 14 yards and lost two yards on two receptions on three targets in Sunday's 30-18 win at San Francisco.
Hines had a bad drop on a pass that would have gone for 10-to-20 yards, which would have made his game look much better. He played on 19 of the offense's 68 snaps, which has been about his usual workload. However, he's just not a big part of a game plan unless the team is playing from far behind and is forced to throw as he hasn't had a game with more than 10 touches since Week 3.

Avery Williams RB | NYJ
Falcons' Avery Williams: Coach optimistic about return
Williams (hamstring) could return in Week 8 against the Panthers, per coach Arthur Smith, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Williams hasn't suited up since Week 4, but he could be ready to return to his role in Atlanta's secondary and as a kick returner on special teams against the NFC South rival Panthers. The rookie fifth-round pick's participation, or lack thereof, in practice throughout the week should provide clues as to whether or not Smith's optimism regarding Williams' health is warranted.

Nick Chubb RB | HOU
Browns' Nick Chubb: Expected to return Week 8
Chubb (calf) is expected to return to game action during Sunday's matchup against the Steelers, Josina Anderson of USA Today reports.
Chubb returned to practice Monday after missing the last two games due to a calf injury, but coach Kevin Stefanski has remained optimistic that the running back will be back on the field against Pittsburgh. The 2018 second-rounder is expected to suit up Sunday as long as he doesn't experience any setbacks in practice this week, and his presence would provide a significant boost to the team's rushing attack with Kareem Hunt (calf) sidelined.
-
AJ Dillon RB | CAR
Packers' AJ Dillon: Diminished role in Week 7
Dillon had three carries for six yards and one reception for two yards in Sunday's 24-10 victory over Washington. He also lost his first fumble of the season late in the contest.
Dillon was coming off a three-game stretch over which he averaged 13 touches and 78.3 yards from scrimmage per contest, but he played a reduced role Week 6 and made only a minor mark in the box score. At the least, Dillon's limited workload should leave him fresh for the Packers' Week 7 matchup with the Cardinals on Thursday, but he will have a tough time getting back on track against an Arizona defense that has allowed opposing running backs to find the end zone just once -- and once only -- all season.

Gary Brightwell RB | CIN
Giants' Gary Brightwell: No offensive snaps in Week 7
Brightwell didn't play an offensive snap in Sunday's 25-3 win over the Panthers.
All 18 of Brightwell's snaps came on special teams. With Saquon Barkley (ankle) out, New York used fullback Elijhaa Penny (nine carries for 24 yards) to spell primary option Devontae Booker (14 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown). Despite Penny's lackluster performance, the Giants seem to trust him more than Brightwell, whom the team selected in the sixth round of the 2021 draft.
