  • Broncos' Javonte Williams: Productive in split backfield

Williams recorded 15 rushes for 72 yards in Sunday's 15-10 loss to the Bengals. He added four receptions for nine yards.

Williams had another productive game as a rusher, averaging 4.8 yards per carry with big gains of 14 and 10 yards. Despite his explosiveness, the Broncos have continued to split the backfield evenly between he and Melvin Gordon. One area where Williams has gained extra usage is in the passing game, as he's now recorded at least three receptions in three of his last four games. All told, Williams has played particularly well of late, but there is little indication that the Broncos plan to turn over all -- or even a majority -- of the backfield work to him.

  • Aaron Jones RB | MIN

Packers' Aaron Jones: Catches touchdown Sunday

Jones rushed 13 times for 58 yards and caught both of his targets for 12 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-30 win over the Ravens.

Jones wasn't utilized very often in the first half, but he got rolling to begin the second, capping Green Bay's opening drive with a nine-yard touchdown grab. In doing so, the tailback scored through the air for the second straight game, helping compensate for another modest output on the ground. Although he outproduced teammate AJ Dillon, who managed just 22 yards on his seven carries, Jones saw Dillon punch in a two-yard rushing touchdown during the second quarter. While Dillon's presence in the Packers' backfield rotation tempers Jones' upside to a degree, Jones remains an efficient and dangerous playmaker going into Week 16's matchup versus the Browns.

  • Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Stymied in defeat

Patterson rushed 11 times for 18 yards and caught both of his targets for five yards in Sunday's 31-13 loss to the 49ers.

Patterson couldn't break free at any point during the one-sided affair, posting a single-play high of just four yards on his 13 touches. This was the breakout fantasy star's first dud since Week 10, which is a testament to how strong of an offensive asset he has been for both the Falcons and fantasy managers this year. Patterson will carry impressive marks of 1,089 combined yards and 10 total touchdowns into next Sunday's tilt against the Lions.

  • Joe Mixon RB | HOU

Bengals' Joe Mixon: Bottled up by Broncos

Mixon carried the ball 17 times for 58 yards in Sunday's 15-10 win over Denver. He added one reception for two yards.

Mixon was limited to under 60 rushing yards for the third consecutive game and was held out of the end zone in consecutive contests for the first time since Week 3. Of particular concern is Mixon's lack of involvement in the passing game of late, as he's recorded only seven catches across his last five contests. More positively, he continued to dominate work out of the backfield, accounting for 17 of the 26 rush attempts for Cincinnati on Sunday. Finally, it will be worth monitoring Mixon's practice status throughout the week, as he appeared to suffer an ankle injury on one of the team's final drives, according to Marisa Contipelli of the Bengals' official site.

  • Jets' Austin Walter: Two carries in Week 15

Walter rushed twice for 12 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Dolphins.

Walter barely saw the field, as Michael Carter (ankle) and Tevin Coleman split work in the Jets' backfield. As long as New York's top two running backs stay healthy, there won't be much work to go around for Walter, but each of the top two options has dealt with injuries this season; Carter just came off IR this week and Coleman missed last week's game due to a concussion.

  • Titans' Jeremy McNichols: Earns nine touches

McNichols rushed six times for 26 yards in Sunday's 19-13 loss to the Steelers. He added three receptions for 25 yards.

McNichols served as the Titans' third back, as he worked behind both D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard. Even so, Tennessee's run-heavy attack and lack of healthy wide receivers played to McNichols' advantage. His longest gain of the day came on a 12-yard reception, though he also chipped in a gain of nine on the ground. In two games since returning from a pair of absences, McNichols has combined to record 14 rush attempts and three receptions. His involvement in the offense gives him a safe floor but a very low ceiling as the third back on the depth chart.

  • Tony Pollard RB | TEN

Cowboys' Tony Pollard: Impressive with normal workload

Pollard (foot) rushed 12 times for 74 yards and brought in all three targets for 13 yards in the Cowboys' 21-6 win over the Giants on Sunday. He also fumbled once but recovered.

The talk coming in was that the Cowboys would manage Pollard's workload carefully in his return from a one-game absence, but the 24-year-old's 15 touches were actually his fourth-highest tally of the season. Pollard looked explosive and unencumbered by the previously troublesome foot while accruing a team-high amount of rushing yards. He should be ready to operate in his usual role again versus Washington in Week 16.

  • Jaguars' Dare Ogunbowale: Two touches as backup

Ogunbowale had one carry for one yard and caught one of two targets for five yards during Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Texans.

Ogunbowale served as Jacksonville's No. 2 tailback with Carlos Hyde (concussion) sidelined, and he was minimally involved in the offense. James Robinson should continue to operate as the workhorse back if he can stay healthy.

  • Myles Gaskin RB | SEA

Dolphins' Myles Gaskin: Cedes lead role to Johnson in win

Gaskin rushed 10 times for 54 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 31-24 win over the Jets.

Gaskin was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, so he had limited practice reps heading into this game and thus ceded the majority of the workload to Duke Johnson, who rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on 22 attempts. The strong performance from Johnson could prompt the Colts to keep him in a timeshare with Gaskin, if not the lead role, in Week 16 against the Saints.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Titans' D'Onta Foreman: Tops 100 yards

Foreman recorded 22 rushes for 108 yards in Sunday's 19-13 loss to Pittsburgh. He added two receptions for 27 yards.

Foreman dominated work out of Tennessee's backfield with Dontrell Hilliard seeing only nine rushes and Jeremy McNichols six. Foreman took advantage of the opportunity, racking up chunk gains of 20 and 12 yards to top 100 rushing yards for the second time in his last three games. While Hillard served as the primary pass catcher out of the backfield, Foreman has also chipped in multiple receptions for the second consecutive contest. The only thing missing from Foreman's effort was a trip to the end zone, though he has also established himself as the team's goal-line back.
