  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Limited again in practice

Kamara (rib) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

Kamara has had his reps capped in both of the Saints' first two practices of Week 4, but at this stage, the team hasn't suggested that the rib injury will keep the running back sidelined for Sunday's game against the Vikings like it did during the team's Week 2 loss to Tampa Bay. In his return to action last weekend at Carolina, Kamara handled a 70-percent snap share and turned his 17 touches (15 carries, two receptions) into 73 yards from scrimmage. In other news related to Kamara, David Charns of 8 News Now Las Vegas relays that the running back has had his latest court date stemming from his February arrest on a battery charge pushed back to Nov. 9. Given the multiple delays in the court proceedings, it's looking increasingly unlikely that a resolution on the legal matter will come before the end of the season, which lessens the potential of Kamara having to serve a suspension in 2022.

  • Commanders' Jonathan Williams: No listing Wednesday

Williams isn't listed on the Commanders' injury report Wednesday.

It was reported earlier Wednesday that Williams was limited in Washington's first practice of Week 4 prep with an illness, per John Keim of ESPN.com. But the ensuing breakdown on the injury report didn't include Williams, whether it was the team's official site or the NFL communications site. As a result, Williams is poised to continue serving as the Commanders' third running back behind Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic on Sunday at Dallas, which so far has resulted in one carry for six yards on three offensive snaps through three games.

  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Broncos' Melvin Gordon: Logs limited practice

Gordon was a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to a neck injury, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

At this stage, there's nothing to suggest that Gordon's availability for Sunday's game against the Raiders is in any danger, but his status is now worth tracking nonetheless. Three games into the 2022 season, Gordon has logged 34 carries and nine passing targets, while fellow running back Javonte Williams has carried 37 times and been targeted 21 times. While he continues to occupy the smaller side of a timeshare, Gordon's weekly fantasy upside is limited, but he has at least notched double-digit carries in each of his first three outings.

  • Dameon Pierce RB | PHI

Texans' Dameon Pierce: Listed as limited Wednesday

Pierce was limited participant at practice Wednesday due to a hip injury, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

Pierce logged 35 snaps and carried 20 times for 80 yards and a touchdown while adding two catches for 21 yards in this past Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Bears. Assuming the hip issue that limited him Wednesday isn't a significant concern, the rookie fourth-round pick should once again lead the way in the Texans' backfield Week 4 against the Chargers.

  • Boston Scott RB | PIT

Eagles' Boston Scott: No practice Wednesday

    Scott (ribs) didn't practice Wednesday.

Scott played a season-low seven snaps during the team's Week 3 win over Washington, and he presumably picked up a rib injury as well. The extent of the issue remains unclear, but his potential absence wouldn't make too much of an impact, as Kenneth Gainwell has solidified himself as the top backup behind Miles Sanders.

  • J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN

Ravens' J.K. Dobbins: Listed with chest injury

Dobbins is listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice with a chest injury, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The fact that Dobbins is on the Ravens' Week 4 injury report with a chest issue rather than anything related to his knee is a welcome sign after he complete his rehab from an ACL tear in the summer before he was cleared to make his season debut in the Week 3 win over New England. The Patriots limited Dobbins to 23 yards on seven carries and 17 yards on two catches (43 percent snap share), while Justice Hill took six carries for 60 yards on 48 percent of snaps. Assuming the chest injury isn't serious, Dobbins should get at least a few more snaps and touches than last week when the Ravens host the Bills on Sunday.

  • Miles Sanders RB | DAL

Eagles' Miles Sanders: Logs limited practice Wednesday

Sanders was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice due to a hip injury.

Sanders has tended to various injuries in three-plus seasons in the NFL, but a hip issue hasn't been one of them. Still, he managed some reps to begin prep for a Week 4 matchup with the Jaguars, and he'll have two more opportunities to get back to full activity before the Eagles potentially hand him a designation for that contest. On the season, Sanders has easily paced the Eagles backfield, earning 51 touches to Kenneth Gainwell's 13 and Boston Scott's (rib) 11 through three games.

  • AJ Dillon RB | CAR

Packers' AJ Dillon: Limited by knee injury

Dillon was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Dillon is appearing on the injury report for the first time this season, but on a positive note, he was able to handle some drills to kick off Week 4 prep. His activity level nonetheless should be monitored closely this week to get a sense of if he's in danger of being limited or even out Sunday against the Patriots. In such a scenario, Aaron Jones would handle the bulk of the backfield reps for the Packers.

  • Joe Mixon RB | HOU

Bengals' Joe Mixon: Avoids designation for Week 4

Mixon (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game against Miami.

The Bengals listed Mixon as a full practice participant Wednesday and Thursday, confirming his ankle injury is minor. He'll start and will likely dominate carries again, but the Bengals haven't been able to run the ball effectively this season, with Mixon averaging just 2.8 yards per carry. The expected volume he'll get makes Mixon a must-start player in most leagues, even as the Bengals offense has thus far struggled to find its footing through three weeks.

  • Colts' Jonathan Taylor: Sits out practice Wednesday

Taylor didn't practice Wednesday due to a toe injury, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Pelissero notes that Taylor's absence is likely precautionary after the running back came out of the Colts' Week 3 win over the Chiefs with some soreness in his toe. As for Taylor's status for this Sunday's game against the Titans, Pelissero's source suggests that the Colts' franchise back will be "ready to roll." So long as Taylor upgrades to full participation in practice Friday, he'll likely enter the weekend without a designation.
