  • Rashaad Penny RB | CAR

Eagles' Rashaad Penny: Active in Week 9

Penny is active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

The offseason addition had garnered active status only once prior to Sunday in his brief Eagles tenure, with that transpiring back in Week 2. However, the Week 9 absence of Boston Scott (personal) opens the door for Penny to get back in uniform against the Cowboys, albeit as the projected No. 3 back behind D'Andre Swift and Kenneth Gainwell.

  • Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Returns for second half

Patterson (ankle) returned to Sunday's game against the Vikings for the start of the second half, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.

Deemed questionable to return to the game after sustaining an ankle injury in the first half, Patterson was back deep for the Falcons' first kickoff return of the third quarter following a Vikings field goal on the prior possession. Patterson looks like he'll be able to serve as the Falcons' kickoff man for the rest of the day, but expect him to continue to handle only a light role on offense.

  • Deuce Vaughn RB | DEN

Cowboys' Deuce Vaughn: Healthy inactive Week 9

Vaughn (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Vaughn will be a healthy scratch for the third straight game after garnering active status for the first five contests of his career. The rookie's next chance to return to action comes in a Week 10 home matchup against the Giants next Sunday.

  • Giants' Jashaun Corbin: Inactive Sunday

Corbin (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

The Giants signed Corbin off the Panthers' practice squad Oct. 24 to provide running back depth behind Saquon Barkley and Gary Brightwell. The running back played 23 special teams snaps but none on offense in the team's 13-10 loss to the Jets last week.

  • Bears' Khari Blasingame: Ruled out Sunday

Blasingame is out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Saints with a concussion, Adam Hoge of AllCHGO.com reports.

The fullback did not record a carry or reception before exiting. Blasingame has eight rushes for 26 yards and two catches for five yards in 2023. The Bears do not have another fullback on their depth chart.

  • Falcons' Cordarrelle Patterson: Injures ankle Sunday

Patterson was forced out of Sunday's game against the Vikings with an ankle injury, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.

Prior to exiting the contest, Patterson carried once for zero yards and caught his only target for three yards. With Mack Hollins also having sustained an ankle injury Sunday, the Falcons -- who were already without Drake London (groin) -- are now seeing their depth on offense being taxed in Week 9.

  • Jeff Wilson RB | MIA

Dolphins' Jeff Wilson: Gets involved as pass catcher

Wilson ran the ball two times for six yards in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Chiefs. He added three receptions on four targets for 32 yards.

Wilson remained relatively uninvolved on the ground, and he now has only seven rushing attempts in three games this season. More encouraging was his involvement as a pass catcher, as he managed season-best marks in receptions, targets and yards. That role could disappear quickly, however, as De'Von Achane (knee) will be eligible to be activated from injured reserve in Week 11, when Miami will be coming off its bye.

  • Chiefs' Jerick McKinnon: Finds end zone against Miami

McKinnon gained two rushing yards on his only carry and caught both his targets for 22 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Dolphins.

Despite the low touch volume, McKinnon was able to get into the end zone for the first time since Week 3, catching his third TD pass of the season on a 17-yard catch-and-run in the second quarter. Last year's nine receiving touchdowns always seemed like an outlier that wouldn't be repeated, but the 31-year-old's role has shrunk in general and McKinnon is on pace for only 321 scrimmage yards, a huge drop from the 803 yards he compiled in 2022.

  • Isiah Pacheco RB | DET

Chiefs' Isiah Pacheco: Solid numbers in Week 9 win

Pacheco carried the ball 16 times for 66 yards and failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Dolphins.

The second-year running back saw his highest yardage total on the ground since Week 4, bouncing back from a rough performance against the Broncos in which he set season lows in touches and scrimmage yards. Pacheco will head into Kansas City's Week 10 bye averaging 76.1 scrimmage yards per game in 2023, a pace that would have him approaching 1,300 on the year if can keep it up.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Bright spot in Miami offense

Mostert rushed the ball 12 times for 85 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Chiefs. He was targeted once without a catch.

Miami was unable to get their typically explosive passing attack going against Kansas City, and much of their success came from Mostert. He accounted for one of the team's two gains of more than 20 yards, as well as a 13-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter. Mostert also dominated work on the ground and should see his volume increase when the Dolphins play from ahead.
