  • Broncos' Dwayne Washington: Questionable for Week 12

Washington (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns.

Washington popped up on Friday's injury report after he did not participate in practice while dealing with an illness. All but one of his 158 snaps this season has been on special teams, as he's fourth on the backfield depth chart.

  • Royce Freeman RB | CHI

Rams' Royce Freeman: Returning to No. 2 role Sunday

Freeman will serve as the Rams' No. 2 running back Sunday against the Cardinals with Los Angeles set to activate Kyren Williams (ankle) from injured reserve ahead of the Week 12 contest, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

Williams took over as the Rams' lead back Week 2, carrying 82 times for 404 yards (4.9 average) and four touchdowns to go with 13 receptions for 103 yards and a touchdown on 22 targets across five games as the team's starter before he landed on IR on Oct. 21. The Rams have since leaned on a combination of Freeman and Darrell Henderson out of the backfield, but the latter was waived Tuesday after the former ended up taking on most of the snaps and touches in the Week 11 come-from-behind win over Seattle. According to Cameron DaSilva of USA Today, head coach Sean McVay said he plans to take some snaps off Williams' plate in his looming return to action after Williams was on the field for north of 80 percent of the Rams' offensive plays in four of his five starts, but Freeman could still struggle to get enough change-of-pace work to retain fantasy utility even in deeper leagues. Freeman isn't helped by the fact that Williams represents a more trusted option on passing downs, as Freeman has drawn just one target across his 113 offensive snaps with the Rams this season.

  • Breece Hall RB | NYJ

Jets' Breece Hall: Seven catches with Boyle at QB

Hall rushed seven times for 25 yards and caught seven of nine targets for 24 yards in Friday's 34-13 loss to the Dolphins.

New York's offense was no better on the whole in Tim Boyle's first start at quarterback after Zach Wilson's benching, but on a positive note for Hall, Boyle's desire to get the ball out more quickly resulted in Hall tying his season high in targets. New York's banged-up and ineffective offensive line isn't opening up many holes, so Hall has been held to fewer than 30 rushing yards in each of the past three games. Hall's seven carries marked his lowest total since Week 4 with the Jets playing catch-up, but he's likely to see more volume on the ground in Week 13 against the Falcons while continuing to play a three-down role in New York's backfield.

  • Jeff Wilson RB | MIA

Dolphins' Jeff Wilson: Gets 14 touches with Achane out

Wilson rushed 11 times for 56 yards and caught all three of his targets for 17 yards in Friday's 34-13 win over the Jets.

Wilson worked as the No. 2 running back behind Raheem Mostert, who rushed 20 times for 94 yards and two touchdowns. De'Von Achane (knee) was held out of this game but seems to have a good chance to return in Week 13 against the Commanders, which would push Wilson down to a third-string role.

  • Dolphins' Raheem Mostert: Adds two rushing TDs, up to 13

Mostert rushed 20 times for 94 yards and two touchdowns while failing to catch his only target in Friday's 34-13 win over the Jets.

With De'Von Achane (knee) inactive for the fifth time in the last six games, Mostert handled 20 of Miami's 33 carries by running backs. He was quiet for most of the game but got going late after New York's defense wore down. Mostert scored from 13 yards out in the fourth quarter, giving him sole possession of the league lead with 12 rushing touchdowns, then bolstered that total with a 34-yard touchdown two drives later. Achane was close to suiting up for Friday's game, so he'll likely be available to split carries with Mostert against the Commanders in Week 13.

  • Kyren Williams RB | LAR

Rams' Kyren Williams: Turns in week of full practices

Williams (ankle) was listed as a full practice participant Friday for the third day in a row and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Arizona, though the Rams haven't yet activated him from injured reserve, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Williams was designated for return from IR after missing each of the Rams' last four games, but his ability to resume practicing the first week he was eligible to do so while facing no restrictions suggests he'll be added back to the 53-man roster before Saturday's 4 p.m. ET deadline for Week 12 transactions. In his looming return to action Sunday, Williams should settle back in as the Rams' lead back, though head coach Sean McVay told Cameron DaSilva of USA Today that he's mindful of taking some snaps off the second-year player's plate in an effort to ease him in. "I think we want to be able to give him a good workload, but I think that was something we had identified [previously]," McVay said of Williams, who will be backed up by Royce Freeman on Sunday. "Exactly what that balance looks like, you want to be able to ride the hot hand, you want to make sure that you're able to get him in the flow of the game, but 95 percent is something that we definitely want to be mindful of taking some snaps off him." Williams had played at least 73 percent of the snaps in each of his five games as the Rams' starting running back prior to landing on IR, averaging 16.4 carries and 4.4 targets during those contests.

  • Eric Gray RB | NYG

Giants' Eric Gray: Questionable for Sunday

Gray (calf) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Patriots, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

Gray has missed the Giants' last four games with a calf issue, but he was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, and he has a chance to return in Week 12. The rookie running back out of Oklahoma would need to be activated to New York's active roster in order to suit up Sunday.

  • 49ers' Elijah Mitchell: Strings together two solid games

Mitchell carried the ball seven times for 39 yards and caught his lone target for a loss of three yards in Thursday's 31-13 win over the Seahawks.

Mitchell didn't post a notable fantasy line per se, but this was the second game in a row where the backup looked like his old self with the ball in his hands. The oft-injured back logged 17 snaps on offense (26 percent) while Christian McCaffrey went off for 100-plus rushing yards and a pair of scores Thursday. The 49ers will presumably lean on CMC as much as possible in Week 13 for a benchmark game against Philadelphia on Dec. 3. The 49ers' schedule softens up considerably after that, which could open up opportunities for Mitchell to get some extra run and become a potential deep-league option down the stretch.

  • Cardinals' Emari Demercado: Questionable for Week 12

Demercado (toe) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams.

Demercado was limited in all three of Arizona's practices heading into the Week 12 clash between NFC West rivals. He has missed the last three games. If the rookie running back suits up Sunday, he'll likely work as the top backup to James Conner. Keaontay Ingram and Michael Carter are the other options in the Cardinals' backfield.

  • Saints' Kendre Miller: Remains out in Week 12

Miller (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons.

New Orleans' Week 11 bye didn't provide enough time for Miller to recover, as he failed to practice in any capacity leading up to Sunday's game in Atlanta and will remain sidelined due to the ankle sprain he suffered in Week 9 against the Bears. The rookie running back's next chance to suit up will come Dec. 3 against the Lions, while Alvin Kamara and Jamaal Williams will likely be New Orleans' only active running backs again in Week 12.
