Carter Bradley QB | SF
Carter Bradley: Waived with injury designation
The 49ers waived Bradley (undisclosed) with an injury designation Monday.
Bradley played 82 offensive snaps under center this preseason, appearing in all three exhibitions and completing just 22 of 41 pass attempts for 199 yards with one touchdown and one interception. If he clears waivers, Bradley will revert to the 49ers' injured-reserve list.

Will Howard QB | PIT
Steelers' Will Howard: Should practice soon
Coach Mike Tomlin said Monday that Howard (hand) is expected to be a full participant in practice "soon," Chris Adamski of TribLive.com reports.
Howard broke a bone in his hand during practice Aug. 5 and was unable to play in the preseason. He's expected to open the season behind Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph on the Steelers' QB depth chart.

Matthew Stafford QB | LAR
Rams' Matthew Stafford: Continues practicing in full
Stafford (back) was a full participant in Monday's practice, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.
Stafford continues to stack 'full' practice sessions, and he again took part in 11-on-11 drills again Monday, per Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com. At this stage, the 37-year-old looks fully on track for Week 1 as long as no setbacks in his recovery from the disc injury in his back surface. That Stafford has been practicing without restrictions for one week is highly encouraging, and coach Sean McVay said Monday that the Rams "feel really good" about the quarterback's return to on-field activities, and that "there's nothing that would leave me to believe, unless we have an unforeseen setback, that he's not going to be ready to roll against the Texans" on Sunday, Sept. 7, according to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times.

Lamar Jackson QB | BAL
Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Back at practice Monday
Jackson (foot) returned to practice Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
The star QB left last Wednesday's practice early because a teammate stepped on his foot, and since then the team has downplayed the issue. Jackson's presence at Monday's practice should ease any lingering concerns on that front, though it's unclear if he'll be deemed a full participant Monday.

Connor Bazelak QB | TB
Connor Bazelak: Waived by Tampa Bay
The Bucs waived Bazelak on Monday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Bazelak played well during the preseason, completing 32 of 46 pass attempts for 261 yards (5.7 yards per attempt) and one touchdown. However, the undrafted rookie out of Bowling Green was always a long shot to make the 53-man roster behind Baker Mayfield, Kyle Trask and newcomer Teddy Bridgewater. Bazelak will be a candidate to land on Tampa Bay's practice squad if he clears waivers.

Adrian Martinez QB | NYJ
Adrian Martinez: Cut loose by Jets
The Jets waived Martinez on Sunday.
Martinez was competing for a spot as New York's No. 3 quarterback behind Justin Fields and Tyrod Taylor but didn't make it through the team's roster cutdown. He could be a candidate to land on the Jets' practice squad, which is where he spent the entirety of the 2024 campaign.
-
Dorian Thompson-Robinson QB | PHI
Dorian Thompson-Robinson: Cut by Philadelphia
The Eagles waived Thompson-Robinson on Sunday.
Thompson-Robinson was acquired by the Eagles in March, and he entered training camp competing against rookie sixth-rounder Kyle McCord for the QB3 job behind Jalen Hurts and Tanner McKee. Thompson-Robinson didn't get much run across two preseason games, completing 10 of 16 passes for 73 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception while rushing for zero yards on two carries. He may have been a candidate to stick around on the practice squad up until the Eagles' acquisition of Sam Howell from the Vikings on Sunday. Assuming he clears waivers, Thompson-Robinson will look to catch on with a team in need of a quarterback, though the 2023 fifth-rounder is more likely to land on a team's practice squad rather than a 53-man roster heading into the 2025 regular season.

Brandon Allen QB | TEN
Titans' Brandon Allen: Looks to be Ward's backup
Allen completed nine of 15 passes for 137 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Friday's 23-13 preseason win over the Vikings.
Allen followed Cameron Ward into the game, taking over for Tennessee's third offensive possession. He benefited from a 65-yard touchdown pass that came exclusively after the catch, but Allen executed fairly well and avoided costly mistakes. He appears to be lined up to serve as Ward's backup heading into a Week 1 matchup against the Broncos.

Tyler Huntley QB | CLE
Tyler Huntley: Cut loose by Browns
Huntley was let go by Cleveland on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Huntley is the odd man out in the Browns' crowded QB room. The 27-year-old backup landed with Cleveland in early August as the team sorted through its options at signal-callers this preseason, joining at a time when both Kenny Pickett (hamstring) and third-round pick Dillon Gabriel were sidelined by injuries. Huntley then filled in as the backup quarterback during two preseason games -- once behind Gabriel and once more behind fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders. Joe Flacco since has been named Cleveland's starting QB, and, while the No. 2 quarterback spot still is up in the air, this job likely will go to either Pickett or Gabriel. Huntley has extensive experience as a backup quarterback who's filled in for injured starters over the past few years, including his time in Baltimore from 2021-2023 and in Miami last season. He'll look to catch on in a similar role elsewhere ahead of the 2025 campaign.

Dresser Winn QB | LAR
Dresser Winn: Doesn't crack Rams' 53-man squad
The Rams waived Winn on Sunday.
Winn got the start in Saturday's preseason finale against the Browns, when he completed 15 of 23 passes for 190 yards and one touchdown while being sacked four times and rushing for seven yards on three carries. He has not played in an NFL regular-season game since entering the league in May of 2023 as an undrafted free agent. Assuming he clears waivers, Winn will look to catch on with another team in need of a practice squad quarterback.
